Solo travel advice

Hi! Just want to ask for some solo travel advice. I'm an extrovert too so I'm okay with meeting new people. and I have questions:

  1. Is it advisable to go to a hostel? Or a shared bedroom? How was your experience? Did you make new friends?
  2. Should I book an airport to hotel transfer?
  3. How do you deal with getting lost alone

?

  1. Do you join joiners trip for the tourist attractions?
  2. Do you ask strangers to take pics of you?

Been in international country before with relatives, but I really wanted to solo travel before I turned 30.

All kinds of advice are welcome! They will all be helpful to me. 🥹

Where to travel on my birth month in October?

I'll be with my parents and I don't want it to be too expensive. I'm thinking of going to Zambales/La Union for road trip (2-3hours drive) but will stay for 2-3 days. I felt like La Union is more senior friendly and more hotels to go to, but found out their hotels already costing to around 22-25k for 2 nights. Now I'm thinking of IloIlo cause it just almost priced the same including the hotels! and at least we don't have to drive, and we get to see a new place (since we've been in Zambales and La Union when i was younger). Do you think IloIlo is a good idea? Or do you have another suggestion. 20k is my budget, max 30k all in all.

31F confused known one for 6 months and one for 3 years (both 32M)

I'm 31F and talking to two men. I known the other one for 3 years so I trust him more. But I know he can't take me, he said that he is not yet ready to be in a relationship with me but always shows me signals that he really wants me but said that he not that stable yet to be in a serious relationship with me (ldr), but we are really really good close friends and knows what been going on with me for the past 3 yrs now lol.
I've been really looking for someone for years now that looks for stability and ready to be serious in relationship (coz we're not getting any younger), until I met one 6 months ago (also ldr), one that gives me reassurance and everything. I know, I do like everything about him. But I feel like my heart feels safer with the one I knew for 3 years. I know this is bad. I'm not sure if this is just because of familiarity. But I can use some advice especially if you've been through this before

---

**TL;DR;** : is it possibly because of familiarity that's why my heart feels safer with the guy I've known for a longer time?

Boracay vs. Puerto galera vs. Panglao

Just want to ask sa mga nakarating na sa mga ito if ano ang mga nakikita nyong differences nila when it comes sa white beach, and if ano mas prefer ninyo?

What hotels can you recommend din sa Puerto Galera if ever? Salamat!

Lime resort

Hi! To those who stayed at Lime resort, I have a question about your commute if you have tours before the time of their free shuttle or if you ever stay in town after their last trip? Is there anything nearby that you can commute to or have a contract to go to other beaches? And to those who have stayed there, how was your stay, is it worth it?

I'm also thinking of Charlie's resort, is it also worth it in there? I heard they have free shuttle too. Just not sure if they have nice pool and views too like lime.

Flickering screen on TV Steamlink

Hi! I am planning to buy a gamepad so I can also play it on TV. I tried connecting steamlink on tv first and then my tv screen is flickering. I searched and they said it's probably because of the refresh rate. Not sure on how to deal with it when it's paired to tv. Hope you can help me guys

Grabpay transfer to other bank

Good evening! May nakaka encounter din po ba sainyo nito sa GrabPay? Walang option na Transfer sa baba. Magttransfer sana ako sa bank from GrabPay wallet. Nakapag transfer naman ako kagabi pero tonight wala na yung Transfer button. Not sure if may other way po ba para maka transfer.

El Nido or Puerto Prinsesa?

I’ve been thinking about spending my birthday in either of the two destinations, but I’m currently leaning toward Puerto Princesa since I’ll be traveling with my parents and there are several land tours we can enjoy together. But looking on some videos it seems like Palawan beaches are not that swimmable compared to Boracay's white beach

I’m also looking for hotel recommendations in Puerto Princesa. I previously brought my parents to Henann in Boracay, and they enjoyed it so much—especially the buffet—that I think they’ll naturally compare any hotel we stay at with that experience. Because of that, I’m considering Astoria Palawan. However, it seems quite far from the airport and some of the attractions we’d like to visit, such as Baker’s Hill and the firefly-watching tour.

For puerto prinsesa, I'm thinking of Wyndham microtel since it is beachfront. I'm also thinking of Hue hotel but I'm not sure if it's beachfront.

I’d really appreciate any insights you can share on which destination you think would be the better choice that can be compared to Henann boracay, as well as any hotel recommendations. Or do you think it might be better to just return to Boracay since they enjoyed it so much there?

I'll go next month to Boracay for a week with parents but as an extrovert, would also love to meet new people! Where usually do you meet new people there? I'd be staying at a hotel in Station 2. And might probably go to the wave bar. Where else can we hang out? And if you have idea of activities I can join in
