My OCD is yelling at me because of the Vortex "Game" folder on the root of the drive i install games and vortex to keeps being created. I have the latest version of Vortex. I want it in a different folder dedicated to all my modding tools, not on drive root. I have tried running the command

./Vortex --del settings

in terminal pointed to the folder in %localappdata% as recommended by Google. I have tried uninstalling using Revo Uninstaller then reinstalling. I'm stuck, does anybody know how to fix this?

Awhile back I enrolled in a class at my Local Community College. Included with the materials provided by the instructor were a bunch Windows XP Pro keys. I base 64 encoded the list to prevent sniping by bots. Each line is a key, pick one at random or don't. Since it's EOL and there's nothing in the rules about it I figured this was okay to post.

I have a maxwest nitro a65 through my government assistance program in the us. It just started showing ads when switching apps or opening a closed one. I've I installed Adguard almost immediately upon getting it. Now nothing seems to be preventing the ads. I've tried restarting Adguard toggling protection off and back on. I've been using proton VPN for the last 2-3 weeks and turning on the AdBlocker included with no change. Malwarebytes didn't find anything. I'm tired of these ads. Sometimes I can't even close them until a timer expires.

I have a laptop that I barely used. I bought it on sale from Amazon for about $1k back in early 2025. It's now on sale for $1.8k and shows MSRP as $3k. Where should I set the asking price and what's the lowest I should accept. It's a Lenovo business laptop with 64gb ram and a 1tb ssd. It does not have discreet graphics.

I have a DLC code for Dragon Age: Origins that i acquired in a sealed copy of the game in 2021. Thing is; it was designed to be redeemed ingame or on EA's site. I've tried multiple times since i got the game to contact EA support to get it redeemed. Unfortunately the code is no longer recognized by their system. I was hoping someone had a link to contact support either via chat or phone to see if i can get it added to my account now that the store is being shutdown for PS3 and Vita.

Has anybody tried modding Cyberpunk 2077? Obviously anything that requires dll hooks won't work so CET is out of the question. What about other mods, though?

Did r/spartawolf ever finish the series. I stopped reading around ch. 80 and saw the most recent chapter came out like a year ago. I like to read a story in large sections (like 10-20 chapters) every couple days rather than a chapter a week, that's why I stopped.

I'm on Win 11. I have external drives that i like to apply icons to certain subfolders on. Currently I have to edit the properties of the folder and set the icon for each one and if the drive letter changes (like when I plug it into another PC) it breaks the folder icon. Is it possible to create a folder icon property that automatically references the drive it's on instead of using a drive lettter?

Several of the BSN Promotional Items required validation from servers that are no longer up. This can be bypassed by editing a file in the DLC pkg. I have done this for all the DLC that required it and created a pkg that's intended to be installed after everything else. I plan on purchasing Stellar Blade legitimately. Will I be able to install PC mods? Cn pc you just need to copy the mods files to a specific folder. Has anybody attempted this?

I have 2 HDD's stacked next to my laptop that are always plugged in when my laptop is. A 10tb and a 22tb. The 22tb is on top. Early Monday morning I woke to the 22tb falling off the stack. It tends to slide out of place over time while idling and I forgot to push it back into alignment before bed. It usually takes 8+ hours of idling to get close to falling. As soon as I heard it fall I got up and shut down the laptop the proper way. And it has been sitting unused ever since. I would like to know the proper steps to take to check for and prevent further damage safely for the drive. It in warranty so if I'm told to RMA it instead of personally checking I will.

I let a friend borrow an sd card and they claim it's acting odd. I found it in device manager based on the name that shows up in the list. I was wondering if there was a way to check the exact device it was and if so what values I need from it's properties in device manager.

Can I have an external 5TB USB 3 HDD attached to the system to be used used to store games, but transfer them to the internal secondary SSD to play. Or can I leave the games stored on the HDD and play them from there? USB A 3.0 isn't fast enough correct?

What if I purchased a game before this change was made but haven't downloaded it yet? I purchased a PS4 game on April 9th in preparation for getting PS5 console that I've had difficulties physically getting into my possesion. I'm not going to get into it here, but I should have had the console before the recent fw update. I haven't received it, yet though.
