Certainly not in the best state right now and is craving for more variety than just fighters and gacha games. Although I'm hopeful enough with the new Vampire Survivors-like JJK game and if it did well, it might get a hypothetical collab with other Shonen Jump series like VS did with a couple of Konami IPs and even freaking Among Us. Still, I'd be stoked for a DMC-like Bleach game.

As for my favorites, Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is my childhood and I find Advanced Adventure to be really underrated. Storm 4 is another one of my favorites and is basically like Budokai Tenkaichi 3 to Dragon Ball. Z Kakarot is arguably the best one in this decade, which I know isn't a high bar, but it got what I wanted for an open-world Dragon Ball game and captured the feeling of being immersed in its world. The Ninja Storm devs also developed it, so I don't think it's too much to ask them to create a Naruto game of that style.

If we don't count games that weren't internationally released in 2008, then GTA IV takes best narrative. Otherwise, I want to give Chaos; Head recognition.

Only in Fairy Tail where you can find a fake-out death of a character that's already dead before the series started. It'd be like if you got Jaguar D. Saul to be alive all along after some retcon Oda concocted. Oh wait...

I couldn't even hate Lisanna because she seemed likeable enough and could have been a decent character if she just stayed deceased or Mashima did more to her after he brought her back, right? Right?

Not even her relationship with Natsu led anywhere because her lack of screen time would make Tenten blush. It also cheapened Elfman's character too. Like, the reason he became this manly person is because it's a form of commitment to protect everyone he holds dear and prevent something like Lisanna's death from happening again. Now that she's alive, it just leaves that important aspect of his character thematically empty.

Now that I think about it, even her older sister Mirajane is left more to be desired. One of the S-rank of the guild and proclaimed to be Erza's "rival"? Shafted. The last memorable thing that she did of note was that bikini competition in the magic games, which is definitely not the writer's barely disguised fetish. And that arc was back when Obama was in the office.

I find Sanji (One Piece) and Juvia (Fairy Tail) to be similar when it comes to their gags and how much they can be exaggerated to the point that it becomes jarring.
