I have a faulty Ethernet cable that I’m going to replace. But I’ve noticed it gives only 10mbps when plugged into something directly, but when plugged into a switch it gives 100mbps. I just want to know why this is?

So I have a Ethernet cable running from living room to my room into a Ethernet switch. I noticed I was getting terrible speeds (8mbps) via my pc. I thought it was just my small cable connected to the pc from my switch, but found it out all my devices connected to it are getting the same speed so it’s definitely the one connected to the router. It also seems to be fluctuating between 10mbps locked speed and 100mbps (all of the wires are 1000mbps).

Family member got my switch and updated stock. Will it matter if I keep my emunand on the lower firmware?

Just want to know if it’s even possible. I’ve downloaded the trixx software and signal gpu but none give me an option to change.

Today I changed my major from an associates to a certificate. I completely forgot to ask the financial aid office while I was there. So for the certificate I only need 5 classes I just want to know if I enroll in 6 units this summer if I will get the summer Pell grant. They are two elective classes.

So I upgraded my cpu, motherboard, and ram but forgot to backup some important stuff. Could I just plop my old ssd back into the build back it up, and then reinstall windows? Or do I need to download motherboard drivers first to be safe?

So I sold my old am4 build to buy a new am5 build. Thing is….I didn’t reinstall windows or anything and was just going to use the exact same ssd I had in that build. Do I just need to install the motherboard drivers on boot up and everything should be fine?

Do I essentially just need to install new motherboard drivers and uninstall the old ones?

Recently sold my am4 build for around $500 I was thinking of getting rather the $600 7800x3d micro center bundle or the $680 9800x3d. Both come with 32gb of ddr5 and a motherboard.
My gpu is a 7800xt.

I see their bundles are out of stock for Corsair vengeance ram but the g.skill ram is still in stock. Will I be able to go in store and ask for that ram instead?
Edit: it’s the same speed and cl36 too.
I also found out I’m able to swap it out via the website. I just added the cpu, mobo, and g.skill ram into my cart and it applied the discount for pickup.

I know everyone has problems trying with bots unsuccessfully trying to sign into their accounts with Microsoft. But I think they have my password because I have the authentication app and I keep getting notifications for sign ins from the US and Japan. This normally only happens when I sign in with my password this has never happened before and now I’ve gotten about 4 attempts in 2 days after changing my password 2 times.

Been rocking a $10 mouse for years now I think it’s time to upgrade. I just want a mouse that has good polling rate and just all around good. I think the mouse I have now only hits 250 hz.

Currently debating if I should just hold off for am6. I currently have 5800x3d with 32 gbs of ddr4. I am getting a few offers for my cpu,mobo, and ram for $450 I could just sell and get a microcenter bundle for $600.

Want to upgrade my monitor to at least 240hz oled.

Currently I have a am4 build 5800x3d with 32gb of ram. I was contemplating selling my cpu, ram, and mobo for $450. I could get the microcenter 7800x3d for $600. Or should I upgrade my 7800xt to a 9070xt?

Edit: Just decided to buy a 1440p oled and save a little to also upgrade my gpu to 9070xt. Appreciate everyone who commented

Currently bundle says out of stock because there is no new mobos, but they still have a couple of open box ones.
