En France, j’ai l’impression que la plupart des gens voient Vinted comme une sorte d’évolution des friperies et que tout le monde se concentre sur les vêtements.

Non seulement c’est faux, mais surtout ça fait complètement passer à côté d’une énorme partie du marché et des produits disponibles… Et c’est franchement dommage pour le portefeuille des gens !

Il y a énormément de produits sur Vinted : des livres rares ou chers aux accessoires pour iPhone, en passant par les bijoux, les enceintes Bluetooth, etc.
Et très souvent, ya vraiment du neuf de chez neuf.

Là où ça devient intéressant, c’est que face à toute cette offre (comprendre « tous les produits disponibles sur Vinted, hormis les vêtements »), il n’y a pas forcément de demande équivalente côté acheteurs : du coup les prix s’effondrent par rapport à ce qu’ils devraient être !

D’autant plus que ce sont des particuliers qui vendent leurs trucs et pas des professionnels qui cherchent à dégager une vraie marge, payer leurs charges, etc.

Du coup, j’ai tendance à simplement voir un truc dans un magasin que j’aime bien ou dont j’ai envie, puis à le chercher sur Vinted (et je mets une alerte si je ne le trouve pas immédiatement). Et là, je peux souvent avoir exactement le même objet neuf pour des cacahuètes 😂

Quelques exemples de braquages que j’ai faits en tant que consommateur ces dernières années :
- Batterie MagSafe pour iPhone Air (neuve, seul le scellé avait été ouvert) : 35 € au lieu de 110 € sur l’Apple Store.
- Un coffret Pléiade (neuf, encore sous plastique) : 40 € au lieu de 84 €.
- Une enceinte Bluetooth Devialet x Huawei (neuve, encore sous plastique) : 50 € au lieu de 120 € à l’époque.
D’habitude je garde ce genre de trucs pour moi, mais bon, après tout j’ai pas l’impression d’avoir découvert l’eau chaud mdr : il faut juste garder un œil sur les contrefaçons et les faux comptes (comme pour les vêtements en somme).

Bref n’utilisez pas Vinted que pour les fringues, vous passez à côté d’une partie assez folle de ce qu’on peut y trouver … Ptet le cas pour beaucoup d’entre vous, ptet pas le cas pour d’autres : je pose ça là 😅

In my country (France), seems like most people tend to think Vinted is the evolution of a thrift store.
Not only they’re wrong, but they miss a whole part of the market and products available … And that’s a real shame for their wallet.

There is lot of products : from rare/expensive books to Iphone accesories but also jewelry, Bluetooth speaker, etc that are available on Vinted : and brand new really often !

It becomes interesting because in front of all this offer (understand «all products available on Vinted, except the clothing part) there is no equivalent demand : so the price drops a lot from what it should be ! Also because these are people selling stuff and no professional trying to get an actual true profit margin, pay their costs, …

So I tend to just see something in a store that I want or like and just search it on Vinted (putting an alert if I don’t find it instantly) : then I can the same brand new object for F-in peanuts 😂

And I’ll give you some examples of some robberies I did in the past few years as a consumer :
- Iphone air MagSafe battery (new only the seal was broken) : 35€ instead of 110€ on the Apple Store.
- a set of books in a luxury version/pleiade (new with the plastic film still on it) : 40€ instead of 84€
- A Bluetooth speaker from Devialet x Huawei (new plastic film still on it) : 50€ instead of 120€ at the time

I usually keep this for myself but what the hell, that’s no breakthrough here ahah : you just have to keep an eye for counterfeit, false accounts (same as with clothing).

Watching Ozark these days (I love it !) which bring a few topics related to economics, more about business which is more common, alongside the mafia theme of course.

I watched a lot of mafia movies/series but I would really liked to watch a good movie with a theme very related to economics (more than just business, even if that’s pretty close topics) : what are your suggestions ?

Here is a bunch of movies I already saw related to this theme (and my personal ratings/10 which are only engaging my own tastes ofc):

The Big Short (7/10), The Social Network (5/10), Moneyball (6/10), The Wolf of Wall Street (8/10), Spotlight (7/10), A beautiful mind (6/10), Dark Waters (6/10).

As you can see, I really struggle to find a brillant movie on the subject … And that’s a struggle as I’m very found of economics (master degree on the subject) but also a big cinephile since childhood 😅

Hi, M29 looking to complete my collection : I smelled Afternoon Delight from Maison Margiela a few months ago in the duty free zone of an airport.

I thought he was great, pretty discret and stayed for days on my sweater but maybe a bit feminine : do you think a guy can wear this or it’s really « made for women » (not a fan of this term myself tho) ? I’m only half sure and this perfume is kinda expensive so I want to make sure before buying …

In terms of perfumes, my go to is usually Noir by Tom Ford (since I’m 18yo) for big occasions mostly now, I also wear Myself from Saint Laurent for the day to day, Dior Homme Sport for summer, Terre d’Hermes around christmas and finally CK one on a sleepy sunday/boring day.

Like I (M29) have this cousin, just 5 years older than me : he never played Death Stranding but calling it a « walking simulator » straight up …

He’s not that bright so I can’t really talk to him out of it, I basically say that this is the perfect game for a chill unemployed guy to make him laugh a bit and talk about everything else.

I know you can’t really have a say on what people are thinking, but how do you personnally deal with this argument yourself ? Or how would you in a peaceful/smart way ?

I need a serie/TV show to watch until at least 21st of July (not including House of Dragon and I’m taking a lil break from The Sopranos).

Criteria : most and foremost of good quality, available on Prime video, HBO Max or Netflix if possible (I’m based in France) with at least 2 or 3 seasons.

I’ve been watching TV shows for 15 years now, here is my personal top 10 (just so you can know my own tastes) :

The Office, GOT, Malcolm, Breaking Bad, South Park, The Sopranos, Trailer Park Boys, The Boys, True Detective (mostly for S1), Slow Horses.

Apart from that, I already saw/don’t want rewatch yet :
Invincible, TLOU, a knight of seven kingdoms, The Penguin, Task, Peacemaker, Chernobyl, TWD, Fargo, Gen V, Fallout, Fullmetal Alchemist, Community, Misfits, I know this much is true, Attack on Titans, Death note, Brooklyn 99, Better Call Saul, Black Mirror, Bojack Horseman, Alice in Borderland, Monster (anime) Dexter ; don’t want see yet The Wire, Berserk, Mindhunter.

If I don’t have any idea I will surely watch again either The Man in the high castle or Game of Thrones … Madmen seems fine but not sure I’ll like it and not available among the 3 platforms previously mentioned.

Anyway : what should I watch ? Do Your best thaaanks.

After reading through everything, top 5 shows that caught my attention the most :

• Sons of Anarchy – sounds really interesting, a bit of The Sopranos, which definitely got my attention …

• Ozark, watched the first season when it originally came out but never continued. I’m a bit more mature now, so I might appreciate it much more.

• Succession, By far the most frequently and logically (?) recommended. I’ve heard great things about it for years, and it seems like it fits my taste really well … Maybe I will watch this with my best friend ´cause he seemed interested too.

• Banshee, I’m intrigued, especially since I loved Antony Starr in The Boys.

• The Leftovers – I know it’s supposed to be incredible, but I’m not so sure being in the right mood for it this summer. It’s definitely staying on my watchlist tho.

Just really curious about this topic : since I finished the game, I putted on the level 2 stabilizer just so I can jump like a maniac from any cliff in my way and go weeeeeee !

A small sized battery and/or solar panel can do the trick, alongside with skills and vehicles, to never run out of battery (there is battery chargers like everywhere).

Faut vraiment pas savoir faire les courses pour acheter ça : le barilla coute 2 fois moins cher … Si l’idée c’est d’avoir un truc moins industriel/plus naturel, à ce prix autant le faire soi-même (rien de meta ofc, banal pensées de la douche)

Bonjour, M29 avec Bac +5 au chômage depuis plus d’un an et demi/cherche un poste depuis Août 2025.

Je suis dans un process depuis 3 semaines pour un poste idéal pour moi (dans le privé) : que ce soit le secteur, les tâches, l'environnement, le lieu, etc mais j’attends de savoir si je suis pris pour le 3ème entretien sur 4 (!) : réponse fin de semaine prochaine et l’avant dernier entretien sera pas avant la semaine du 22 Juin au plus tôt.

Problème : dans l'optique de passer des concours, j’ai candidaté à une prepa talents et j’ai l’oral de sélection le 30 Juin ... Et ça s'assorti d’une bourse de 5000€ si je suis pris ! Sachant que les concours sont en Décembre-Janvier.

Je préférerais largement avoir le poste d’ici un gros mois, seulement la prepa talents m'engage et m'offre une belle stabilité financière à court terme et la perspective d’un poste à terme ok potentiellement moins plaisant mais beaucoup plus stable.

Absolument rien n’est joué dans les 2 situations mais juste je ne vois pas comment jouer mes cartes : on doit être 5 à 10 candidats encore pour un seul poste et une petite vingtaine de candidats pour 5-10 places en prepa talents.

Pour l'instant, je joue encore sur les 2 tableaux mais je ne sais pas encore pour combien de temps : je ne suis ni encore suffisammenr en position de forcer la main sur le poste pour l’évoquer avec la rh, ni encore accepté en prepa concours ... Et je risque d'être accepté avant que le process soit fini ; mais la perspective d’un concours ça vaut pas un emploi 😅

Qu’est ce que je dois faire vous pensez ? C'est assez existentiel pour moi parce que j’en peux vraiment plus du chômage, j’ai eu des affaires familiales urgentes à gérer de janvier à juin 2025 et quand j’ai recommencé les candidatures en août 2025 il n’y avait absolument pas de taffe (vous connaissez la conjoncture sur le marché de l’emploi je suppose).

Edit 1 : Pour l’instant je pense faire levier sur l’offre d’emploi en utilisant la prepa talent : si un 3ème entretien se confirme je dis que "j’ai un process de recrutement plus court qui commence" car l’oral de la prepa talents sera quelques jours après, histoire que ça les presse un peu, faut pas abuser ahah
