They're not even replying to emails at this rate, or answering the office numbers they gave me. I've even phoned up the receptionists to ask if maybe they're all on holiday (including the department I'm meant to be doing my 250 hrs in, that were meant to get me in during July to set up the mentor and placement hours) and the receptionist said "well if you arent getting 'I'm on annual leave till x' auto responses, they should be in work, so i'm unsure at why they aren't responding to anything"

She even gave me extra emails for them and nothing. I need to cancel soon, as SFE was going to fund it. As previously mentioned, I can't afford to pay for it out of pocket and can't afford to do the course without said bursary.

It feels like they're just not paying attention :/ I was quite excited to do this, but I'm really put off doing it at this college in particular (which is a shame as my flat is quite literally opposite the college) if they can't even do the stuff they have to do.

I applied directly, so no UCAS to deal with, and I confirmed the offer when I got it earlier in the year, expecting it all to be sorted by now.

Do i just ring up the college to cancel also?

I've heard they're pretty common in other towns and cities, but in my entire life here I've not seen any of our mayor's host like a local come and chat about issues that concern you event or anything vaguely similar with his staff?

Maybe I'm just missing the listings but I wanna raise my concerns about how there's 3 companies I know of that have bought old office buildings (see dream apartments and vertex group) to turn into apartments, however they're either renting them for 1.5k-2k a month and they're not able to fill them, or they've done that, realised if doesn't work and are holding perfectly livable housing under Airbnb and holiday let's.

*fortunately* this doesn't happen in relationship rejection, but jesus Christ everytime I don't get a job, or don't hear back from a job I assume I was at fault in some degree and the s*icidal tendencies kick back in.

I do not have them anymore daily and haven't in over ten years, and I'm quite happy but god as soon as I'm unemployed again (animator in the games industry) I feel like a worthless failure and that I only got my prior jobs due to luck, which some people have said before, and I just end up sitting and wishing the attempts I did make on my life as a child/early teens would've happened because I'm just not built for having to prove myself over and over again.

I'm legit writing this as those thoughts peep up as I can't sleep, my wonderful other half came over when he realised I was struggling but I don't want to wake him he's got work at 5am.

Ive been given a roblox rig that includes them but i've worked in games for years both outside and inside of roblox, and as far as i know and ive been told maintaining volume, deformers and such (like this rig uses) do not translate? but the rig ive given has them? hm

So I'm a mature student doing my PCGE in September. I was contacted by the college that offered me the course after I did a job interview there, and the only thing stopping me from getting said job was the fact that I didn't have a PCGE.

However, I cannot afford to pay for it out of pocket. They contacted me on the 15th of May with the course and said they'd get back to me in a few days with what I needed to do. This took till last night, despite my constantly getting in contact as I knew they'd be some form of deadline. Looks like the deadline was the 15th.

What happens now? Will my application get automatically denied because it's a week late? When in reality, I was going off what the college said that the deadline wasn't soon, and I had "loads of time" to do it.

Different question, the application is asking for my bank details, but there is no change option when i click it?

Heyo! New here but longtime sewist.

I'm also a goth and have been since I started sewing, but every sewing pattern I find tends to be very, safe and traditional, I've taken a few simple sewing patterns and jazzed them up but nothing really compares to a gothic peice that the shape is designed for that type of style.

However if I Google "goth sewing patterns" I'll only ever get shapeless tee and dresses, or clearly ai generated patterns that don't go any bigger than a child.

Don't get me started on the sheer amount of goth sewing patterns being just Halloween costumes, or Wednesday's dress 🤣
