IDK what this is just random facts 🤷‍♀️

🧠 Fear can change your brain chemistry . Your brain can trigger the fight-or-flight response before you’re even consciously aware of what scared you.

❤️** Strong emotions can affect your heart**. Extreme stress or emotional shock can temporarily weaken the heart in a condition called** takotsubo cardiomyopath**y (“broken-heart syndrome”).

🥶 Fear can literally make you feel cold. During stress, blood flow can shift away from the skin and toward muscles and vital organs, contributing to cold hands and feet.

😳 Embarrassment can make your face physically warmer. Blushing happens because blood vessels near the skin widen, increasing blood flow.

😡 Anger can raise your heart rate and blood pressure. Your body prepares for action even though you’re not necessarily in physical danger.

😨 Your pupils can change with emotion. Fear and excitement can activate your sympathetic nervous system, causing your pupils to dilate.

🫀 Emotions can produce genuine physical pain. Strong emotional distress can activate some of the same brain regions involved in processing physical pain.

🧬 Long-term stress can affect your immune system. Chronic stress can alter immune and inflammatory responses rather than being purely “in your head.” This is why many mental illnesses can show physical effects to ye body.

🧠 Your brain can react to imagined danger similarly to real danger. Thinking about something frightening can activate many of the same stress systems as an actual threat. Companies who make scary games or movies often prey on this function.

👀 You can sometimes react before realizing you’re afraid. The brain’s threat-detection systems can initiate bodily responses extremely quickly, before conscious processing catches up.

Not taking male SA victims seriously is sick

If the genders was reversed the teacher would lose everything. But because it was a male victim it is overlooked and treated like a joke by the internet. At least she is getting 10 years, better than what some get. But people reaction to this is sick.

Sad

In 1932, the "pinhead" in the movie Freaks was actually a man. Having the mind of a three-year-old, He never really understood he was in a movie. Legally, His handlers bought and sold him like an owned circus animal. This is just one case of Hollywood abusing individuals for the sake of a “ hit” show or money.

For those who watch the show and read the books

I recently got TVD books and I was shocked by how different they are. Like how Bonnie isn’t even in the Bennett line , and that played such a big part in the show. So I wanted to know , what do you guys like better ? To me I like the series , it seems like more thought was put into minor details and for a long running series it did well on keeping track of character development and plots. I love the books. But they honestly seem like a whole different series from the show since so much is different.

Can’t believe I’m saying this …

Can’t believe I’m saying this but did the chat get worse? I noticed there was a new update and it seems like it’s worse. Characters don’t even react like themselves and details are getting worse. Dialogue seems slightly better like I get a “ uhh” or a “ yeah” that’s better than before when it was no talking at all…
