Have French study visa but couldn't go. Will it effect my visa applications in other countries?

I received France study visa a few months ago but I could not join my classes due to a sudden family emergency and I had to withdraw my admission.

Now I am planning on applying again in October to France and maybe in Italy, will I have to explain my situation everywhere - like I know I will definitely have to for France - but will other countries require reasons too for not using my visa?

Tarab and Nabeel Top Two?

Might be a stretch but they only posted Tarab and Nabeel's journey on YouTube, they could be top two cause today they are only uploading performances.

Moving to France on student visa.

I recently received my French student visa (literally two days ago), but I’m now seriously questioning whether moving is the right decision financially.

When I was planning everything, I expected to support a significant part of my living expenses through freelance/online work that I’ve already been doing. However, there have recently been changes that have reduced the amount of work available to me, and I’ve realized that my future income from it may be unpredictable.

That puts me in a difficult position.

The city I’ll be moving to is relatively small, and my French is still quite limited. I know international students can work part-time in France, but I’m worried that finding a student job in a smaller city without strong French skills could be difficult. I don’t want to move there assuming I’ll find a job and then discover that there simply aren’t enough opportunities.

There are a couple of other factors complicating the decision:

\- *My second semester is supposed to involve an Erasmus+ exchange, which may be fully or partially funded. So I might only need to manage the first semester in this city before leaving for the exchange.*
*- If I continue into the second year, I will also need to be financially prepared for my residence permit/visa renewal and be able to demonstrate sufficient resources.*
*- My current freelance situation should become much clearer by September. I have the possibility of arriving later, so I could potentially wait a little longer and see whether my online income stabilizes before committing to the move.*

Academically, I do want to pursue the opportunity. My hesitation is almost entirely financial. I don’t want to give up a good opportunity because I’m scared, but I also don’t want to move to another country based on the assumption that either my freelance income will recover or I’ll easily find a student job.

For people who have studied in France, especially in smaller cities:

How realistic is it to find part-time/student work with limited French? Would you take the risk in this situation, or wait until September to have a clearer picture of the finances? And for international students who had uncertain income before moving, how much of a financial cushion would you personally want before going?
I’d especially appreciate experiences from people who have actually supported themselves while studying in France.

is it easy to find part-time jobs?

hello everyone! i recently received my visa for france. and i will be joining agro-sup.

my french language knowledge is basic and i will have to support myself there somehow.

i want to ask if it is easy to find part-time jobs and make ends meet?

the thing is that i have erasmus plus exchange in second semester which might be fully or partially funded. so i am a bit confused if it is the right decision or not.

like even if i land student job here, i will have to leave during second semester and come back to find jobs again

also i will have to show stable income for visa renewal in second year too.

kindly guide.

Has anyone used Payoneer card or account in Europe?

Hello everyone!

I hope you are doing well.

I am moving to France on student visa. And I plan on using my freelance income to support myself.

I receive payments in Payoneer. Therefore, I wanted to ask has someone used it smoothly in Europe like withdrawing cash or connecting it to some European bank account?

Also the payments are from my social media monetized accounts, so I can't redirect to any other source.

Will they cause any issues as my account is Pakistan based? It is notorious for terminating accounts.

Really anxious about this. Will be glad if someone gives possible insights.

CROUS documentation

Hello everyone!

I have received an email from CROUS which contained several documents.

They have asked me to pay rent for the first month of my apartment within a week. I am still waiting for visa approval and will pay the fee today.

However, the document has also asked to submit something related to VISALE and have some guarantor through it.

I am confused what is it about. Is VISALE thing submitted at the time of key collection in France or now?

Will appreciate any guidance in this regard.

Why is Hollywood normalizing this behavior and aesthetic? Literal adults acting like babies.

Hello everyone!

I hope you are having a great day.

I will be hopefully be moving to Dijon for studies in September.

Therefore, I wanted to ask the students or residents here in general regarding living expenses (accommodation, groceries, travel card etc). I will be applying for CROUS next month. Is it easy to get CROUS?

Any insights will be appreciated.
