Making a custom chapter is such a foundational part of the hobby, yet are at a disadvantage compared to armies with a primarch or powerful chapter master. Just a generic one in terminator armor would go a long way. Either a standard honor guard unit or a terminator upgrade sprue would be huge.
Ever since I read the fabius trilogy, clone fulgrim has stood out to me. I love the idea of a pure fulgrim with a redeemed legion.
As such, an idea was formed in my head. I wanted to create a custom army where somehow, pure fulgrim escaped trazyn and returned to the imperium. Initially skeptical, Cawl wasted no time in creating a new emperors children geneseed and commissioned a new primaris strand of them.
Using the space marines codex, more specifically ultramarines, I had an idea to proxy a bunch of things. The forge world uncorrupted Fulgrim model would be my guilliman, and saul tarvitz could be my calgar (another pure bile clone no doubt) with some phoenix terminators as my victrix honor guard. The remaining units of the list would be standard space marine models, I questioned using some palatine blades as my bladeguard, but I am alas not made of money. Obviously not a competitive army, but it seemed cool to me.
Since we shifted to take and hold, assault termies with storm shields and a chaplain seem to look better on paper. But bladeguard has never disappointed me before, so it's still up in the air for me until I get a game with each.
Building my armageddon box, i currently have a bunch of thunder hammers and power weapons, but am experiencing a shortage in fists. Is that the preferred option? I can get more if it is so
A bunch went with their dad to goon around for 10000 years, but none have come back with him yet. So, do you think they overdosed on human-cocaine, fucked off to some other random pleasure planet, or are they engaging in a blunt rotation from hell (literally) with all of fulgrims daemon hookers? Or something else, let me know your serious or not theories.

The most interesting thing about EC and chaos in general is the heavy customization. So, tell me what you like to do for yours. My war band never got over their regal nature from the crusade, and granted now it's very twisted by chaos but it still exists somewhat. They still adorn their heresy colors of purple, gold, and white and do not mutilate themselves (shocker I know) except for the noise marines. Excessively excessive drugs, torture, and skincare routines. I used some leftover blood angel heads of mine and painted the hair white instead of blonde. Additionally my Lucius is actually a clone that Bile made, who he attempted to make a perfect clone from before his fall but was unsuccessful. He became Slaaneshs champion all over again just this time with a helmet (I kitbashed the HH model with the 40k one to get the detailed body parts with his special chest piece, it was a lot of fun)
I don't always take mine, never for competitive or tournament play but for a casual game at my LGS, they're a lot of fun. Flamers are always a blast, and I really like the overwatch threat they represent. It also kinda works because we're such a run and gun army, having something that stays back a bit farther and just holds the line is nice. Yeah my infiltrators and intercessors do that too but flamethrowers are just a bit cooler.
This was such a hard decision for me, but I had to drop him from my list. With the points changes I simply couldn't afford him or else lose a unit of JPI. He was my first blood angels mini that I painted and most of the reason why I made a BA army in the first place. Might just bring him and stick him on the sidelines for moral support. I have hope that once a new data sheet for van vets comes in and they can equip inferno pistols I can move stuff around to bring him back. But these next few months until then are gonna be really missing something.
With the new changes to sanguinary priest I hope their attention will stay on them long enough to make a primaris JP sang priest. Thoughts and prayers 🤞
I have a 3000 point game coming up, and just questioned it. Yeah it'd be a massive chunk of my army, but two bricks of bgv with a priest and a chaplain sounds kinda nasty imo. Thoughts?
I'm currently lacking extra storm shields so I need to get more but generally what's the better option? With the new armageddon ones I'm wondering what to replace the box included weapons with. My original thought was a bunch of inferno pistols because they slap so damn hard but my smash captains performance in recent games is trying to convince me to go storm shields. Which is better?

What is your preferred group of tanks? I used to use two lancers, then switched to a lancer and ballistus, and am now at 2 ballistus. The rule of 2 is ever present, and I feel like ballistus is a tad more versatile in the games I've played. So what tanks do you like?

Like any horus heresy appreciator these guys might be the coolest marines ever in my eyes. Now, if I want to make an army of these survivors, how would I go about it? I think it would have to be officially an emperors children loyalist list, led by tarvitz. Now for actual units would I be able to paint them up in different ways, like for example a tactical squad with 5 ec, 3 sons of horus and 2 WE? Is that legal?

I had the intent of picking up the armageddon box and running the captain (partly because the new model is so freaking cool) with a sanguinary priest in a bladeguard squad. But with the new edition we can run chaplains and sang priests, so is that the better option to run? I really like the captain buffs but a chaplain and sang priest will make the unit incredibly reliable. So which is the better all around option?

Death guard have 2 versions, thousand sons get their scarab occult, yet emperors children and world eaters get nothing. Yeah we just got a codex update, but generic chaos terminators are pretty weak and I would love to justify myself in getting some. A new corrupted phoenix guard would be really cool, or just some regular termies with sonic weapons or something. Any thoughts?
