I figured my little blue devil will feel right at home in this sub :-)

SLK 200 (R171) built in Dortmund in 2007, now cruising the streets of Berlin. Only one previous owner, who must've taken good care of him.

I bought the car almost a year ago, and have been doing some maintenance and upgrading since. I try to do as much as I can myself, and it's a good job there are so many forums and YouTube videos out there. I am most proud of swapping the original radio for a Carplay-ready head unit, plus installing a reverse camera (the cablework was a bitch!).

It is my first car and I absolutely love it.

What did you try or radically change; only to find out it didn't stick?

I see concepts and solutions being posted here every day, ranging from dedicated spaces to use the internet to locking away your phone or covering the screen in tape. But I think most of us, myself included, will fall back into our old patterns, our old addictions. So, I ask you all, my fellow minimalists:

What did you try, what did you change; and why did it no stick?

I'll start:

>I tried greyscaling my phone, and while it did make everything less attractive, I found myself turning it back to colour just so that I could use navigation apps... At some point, I didn't switch it back to greyscale and it had me hooked again.

CarPlay: Can't hear the caller, music sounds fine, all volumes up.

Hey everyone, when I call/receive a call, the other person can hear me, but I cannot hear anything through my speakers. The volume is turned up, also specifically for calling, and I tried disconnecting / repairing my iPhone various times. Music plays absolutely fine (thanks to the CAN decoder).

  • Car: Mercedes SLK
  • Phone: iPhone 14, running the latest iOS
  • Headunit: Dynavin (D9)

Here's hoping someone has a few pointers for me Many thanks!

Dachgeschosswohnung aufm Südwesten in Berlin.. Wie ich meine PS feiere! 🫶🏻

15:45 Uhr. Draußen sind es 31 Grad. Die Dachgeschosswohnung ist nach Südwesten ausgerichtet.

Und Drinnen? Drinnen sind es 22 Grad (21.6 laut Thermometer), einfach ein Traum.

How to vote for the September election (Abgeordnetenhaus) as an EU citizen?

My fellow Berliners,

in my 13+ years of living in Berlin, I don't think I ever received a notice on where to go to place my vote. Does one need to register somewhere specifically, as an EU citizen?

Spanish language courses in English?

Hi everyone,

does anyone know of a Spanish language course given in English? I speak C2 German, but my brain definitely switches faster back-and-forth in English, so I think that would help when trying to learn a new language :-)
