What are your thoughts on James O Brien?

If there's one good thing I can say about James, is that he asks right wing politicians and right wing talking heads difficult questions.

However, this man is always constantly so smug and snobby that he puts me off a little bit, only James O Brien could write a book (It's mostly transcripts) ironically titled "How to be right" Where in one chapter he admits to lying in order to win a debate about prayer rooms in schools.

He's not going to punch Batman from that distance...Have him slide towards Batman a little bit to make contact.

[Other] My bad Trophy obsession.

When I lived alone years ago, I would come home from my work shift, quick shower, quick food and get to trophy hunting.

I enjoy trophy hunting, but this was unhealthy.

I was buying and playing games that were dog💩

Simply because they had "Easy trophies"

It got to a point where I was playing games I was not enjoying, but I would play them simply for getting that platinum trophy.

I had physical games I wanted to sell, but couldn't sell until I 100% the trophy list.

For example, The Amazing Spiderman 2, there was a trophy called "Ultimate Spider-Man" to level up 13 suits to level 8.

This was a grind and a half, I was replaying the same fight over and over and over again, getting XP to level up the suits.

I would come home from work, spend about 3 hours leveling up 2-3 suits, go to bed, wake up, go to work, come back, do it all again.

I would be in a grump mood because I knew after my shift I would HAVE to play that game to try and get that trophy.

I remember playing Murdered Soul Suspect, being absolutely miserable, KNOWING I could be having genuine fun with another game, but I knew if I could just platinum it, I could sell it and be done with it.

So I spent days, weeks even, playing this crappy game that had no soul (Forgive the pun) just to add another platinum to my list.

Took a break from playstation...Got married, moved house, COVID, became a father, new job.

Nintendo Switch got me out of the trophy hunt mindset. (Plus don't have as much free time as I use to)

Got a Playstation 5 about 2 years ago.

Logged into my old account and I was hit with what I can only describe as shame, my library was immediately filled with absolute garbage, it all came back to me, the misery, the long hours wasted.

I hit factory reset and made a new, fresh account.

Cast the old account to the shadow realm.

Now, I only buy and play games I KNOW are fun.

I don't skip out on great games because they have "difficult" or "Impossible" trophies.

I research games I'm unsure about buying.

I no longer buy games simply because they have an easy, quick platinum trophy.

I still trophy hunt, but I take breaks here and there.

If I'm to trophy hunt it's got to be on a game that I know is at least fun, currently I've been playing the Batman Arkham games, got platinum on Asylum, City and Knight and it's been a blast.

Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk.

Did anyone else go through anything similar?

Fireman in maximum security?

Yeah let's put him in the same cell as...

A cult leader who engages in sacrifice.

A schizophrenic serial killer who acts like a pig.

A crazy serial arsonist.

The Riddler (Who will probably annoy him to death)

Two of the biggest crime lords, Two Face and Penguin.

And one of the most deadly mercenaries to walk the face of the earth.

Might as well have put him in Killer crocs cell...

Good luck dude.

"Tell me a sound that's better than this"

Ok, the "Thurrrrrwahumumumummm!" Noise when you destroy a vehicle.

Scarecrow debate.

I love John Noble, he's great at giving us a cold calculating Scarecrow, HOWEVER, Could they have not just kept the design from Asylum, or even kept the original voice altogether?

If so, would you have preferred that?

Am I in the minority for preferring the Asylum Scarecrow?

What are your thoughts?

This is bull💩!

Love the game, honestly, so good, but THIS section, can die of the plague!

What the f**K were they thinking?!

Person 1 - "Right, we need a fight at the end of this DLC level, Any ideas?"

Person 2 - 👏🏻 "How about this...Riddler Robots."

Person 1 - "Ok, how many?"

Person 2 - "I don't know I'll roll 5 or 6 D20 dice and go with that?" 🤷🏻‍♂️

Person 1 - "Smart, oh also add a laser that deals insane amounts of damage and is incredibly hard to predict what direction it will go!"

Person 2 - "Already on it sir, in fact I was thinking TWO lasers!"

Person 1 - "My god you're good at this, but I have to say, doesn't Catwoman has a smaller health bar and gadget selection than Batman's?"

Person 2 - "She sure does, but I figured this could be a giant middle finger to everyone who complained about the Deathstroke boss fight being "BORING."

Person 1 - "Yeaaaah I mean Deathstroke was in a TANK and Tanks are cool!"

Person 2 - "They sure are........."

Person 1 - "............."

Person 2 - "........Want me to also add an electric floor that spreads across the combat area, making it even more difficult with Catwoman's incredible far reaching melee range?"

Person 1 - "MAKE LOVE TO ME RIGHT NOW!"

Why is AC in the UK suddenly a culture war / politics debate?

Help a newbie.

So I've been playing D&D for 10+ years and I've lost the passion, a friend of mine suggested Lancer, but I don't know where to start, I mean the core rule book sure, but do you use minis, if so where do you get them from?

Are there any source books, adventure books (If you call them that) that you would recommend?

Many thanks.

Let's talk about Delilah. (Spoilers)

I might get torn to shreds for this take, but here goes...

I'm not saying Delilah is a villain, I get that she is a deeply flawed character with morally grey spots, some people I know who have played the game took a liking to her but me personally...I didn't really like Delilah at all.

Your first interaction with her, she's drunk and really inappropriate.

She doesn't seem to take her job seriously, she doesn't report the missing teenagers and their destroyed camp.

She's clearly talking to someone else (Maybe Ned Goodwin or another watcher) on the radio and when pressed on it she lashes out at you.

She suggests burning the research site to the ground. (Like, our job is to prevent and report fires, not start them.)

She knew about Ned Goodwin and his son illegally hiding out in the woods. (No I'm not blaming her for Brian's death) But was she covering her tracks not reporting him?

She makes flirty comments at you, even after telling her you are still married.

And when you get attacked by Ned Goodwin she doesn't really seem to care, she cared more about the clipboard you found.

What are your thoughts on Delilah?

First time playing, my heart sank.

It was here where I leaned forward out of my chair, jaw dropped, heart sank.

The WORST Nightwing predator challenge.

If the My Chemical Romance reject would hold still while aiming it wouldn't be so bad...

Who's the worst...?

Who do you think is the worst to play for the combat and or predator challenges.

[Tomb Raider Definitive Edition]

Question.

Because there are online trophies, is it possible to get the platinum, or is the online completely dead?
