DPM recoil reduction system fits the new FS ORP
Fits nicely 😁
Can't wait to get to the range

Can't wait to get to the range
So I didn't clean it and went straight to the range... I know, I should have cleaned it, but I was excited!
It is the comp and ported version and I was running a CCI Speer 9mm 115 gr FMJ and did not extract a single one.. it went from a semi auto hand gun to a rack action gun .
When I threw in my defense ammo Federal Law Enforcement 9mm Ammo 115 Grain +P+ it ran flawlessly.. and holy shit this round normally kicks.. but it was flat and glorious.
I am assuming the fact I did not clean/lube the gun did not help, because when I got home and did clean/lube it is a bit smoother.
I also ordered the spring kit online, i am thinking with the comp + porting the room for errors cycling gets thin.
I was quite disappointed after my range visit, but after cleaning and lubing and a little reflecting I am ready to own a gun that might require tweeking.
I do love the feel of the gun, and shooting the +p+ was a dream.. I just can't trust it yet to be my bedside gun, but I am confident I will get there.Or I am drunk on copium... Time will tell

I have low key become obsessed with this gun, i think mostly because i can not find a single video review of it in 10mm... even most of the 9mm reviews are in French.
I would be very interested in anyone's feedback on this gun.
Or is saving money a mirage, and the fun is in the hobby?
I plan on buying the mid size 941 ORP this weekend and I really want to be sure the optic I get also will co-witness.
Can I assume any RMR or DPP optic will co-witness?
Gun #1 HK p30, after exhaustive research and preferring the idea of hammer fired, it rose to the top of my list.
Shot a p211 GTO... and holy shit... I know it's possibly not as reliable as a p30, but god dam it is so fun to shoot, and staying on target for quick successive shots is waaaay better than the p30
Gun #2 Friends used VP9 that was broken, I bought for cheap and fixed (I like taking things apart and seeing how they work).. Then bought a VP9 Match slide and had it ported in order to make a "go fast gamer gun" that could also act as a bed side gun. First gun with a red dot (in the Match configuration). This is me me chasing the performance of the p211 GTO but being cheap
Gun #3 p30sk for carry (sold the p30). Shocked how well this gun shoots... I assumed a smaller gun would have a lot more recoil, but it is nearly identical to the P30.
I went to the range on Friday and again today, directly comparing my ported VP9 Match and p30sk.. The Match is better for sure, but not nearly as good as i remember the p211 GTO at getting back on target. Also, a red dot... is well just fucking amazing.
Now I have gotten it in my head "Why not sell them both and get a carry gun with an optic, or fuck that just buy a p211, or a CZ Shadow.. or a Fusion XP Pro Comp...."
The Carry gun I have my eye on is a CZ Shadow 2 carry, or the Sig p226 xCarry. They both seem to have a lighter recoil than the p30sk (lower bore axis) and have optic cuts. They also have metal frames and i just like the idea of that. Also just getting the p30sk cut for optics is another option (and cheaper).
Yet I also sometimes think... WTF am I doing, I am throwing money away. The p30sk is great for carry, and you don't need a red dot if you ever needed to use it... most altercations are not at a range where a red dot would make the difference. Also the Vp9 Match is already a good gun, it runs every type of ammo I throw at it and it is "fast enough".
I am new to guns, got my LTC in February, but I do shoot a lot.. minimum once a week. I do also try to do training drills, not just yolo mag dump. I am already a better shooter than my buddy that has been shooting guns for over 15 years.
I really REALLY have the bug... I just want to buy every gun I see, but i don't want to waste more money because this is an expensive hobby.
Any opinion on any of the guns i spoke of.
Any opinion on the consumerism itch i am trying to fight.
Any opinion on types of training i can focus on.
Would all be appreciated :)
Oh yeah I also want to buy a S&W 460 XVR 8" because BIG GUN GO BOOM lol, fml
I do not typically carry, I became a gun person more for SHTF just in case...
I have holsters and belts to taking pistols to range day, but I have always found it cumbersome to piss or shit. I can not imagine trying to piss at a urinal in public with a gun hanging from the belt that holds up my pants... As soon as you unbuckle the weight of it is just awkward as fuck.
So yesterday I decided to try to carry all day to see how it felt (I work from home so not a huge effort).
Then at one point around mid day i was like:
"What if i just took the belt out of my pant loops and just put it direct on my body..."
It makes everything so easy...
Is this well known and i am just a moron (very likely).
(I did try this topic in /r/guns but it got shadow ban?)
I started shooting late in life, but as a 54 year old I likely grew up chewing on lead paint... It was delicious 🤤
Anyway are there any simple precautions I can take to limit my lead exposure?
I assume no... since they are all one piece right?
Because god dam that is a good price.
They sell service... Compute/database... So whoever wins the AI race will likely contract with them.
They also have a backstop because they are contracted with the federal government They are basically the backbone for all data the federal government has.
On top, they have a sane P/E...
I understand this sub is addicted to the "meme stock", but at some point do people pay any attention to fundamentals?
I checked my usage history, no one else is logged in to it... I have 2FA enabled.
Not sure what is going on over at google in the context of my account, but us anyone else having anything like this happen today?
Got my first pair back in April, I wore them daily to break them in... but as the weather got hotter i have not put them on in some time.
They basically look brand new, but i was wondering when/if I should apply some oil/wax.
Thanks
I am not a gunsmith, I am new to guns and have just always enjoyed fixing my own stuff. I bought a broken VP9 from a friend, the trigger was not resetting. I figured out it was the Trigger bar spring and decided to replace it myself because I done the GreyGuns short reset in my P30 and thought "How hard can it be".
The hardest time i had was the dismount safety spring... https://youtu.be/o15lWbWdaKU?si=IKNfJQDVmbm332hh&t=2124
The issue I was having.. after I got the spring in and got the locking block in place. His instructions have you put in the short side pin, then the alligator pin to fully secure the locking block before the slide lock/trigger spring.
The alligator pin was a bitch going in.. i needed to hit it with some force to get it through and every god dam time it would dislodge the dismount safety spring.
So finally i just reversed them. After getting the locking block in place and securing it with the short side pin... I just put in the slide lock bar and trigger spring before hammering in the alligator pin. This worked much better.
When I was struggling the dam dismount safety spring jumped out on me a couple times and caused full panic mode that I would not be able to find it... it is so small.
Anyway, I am quite proud of myself for getting this done and I am trying to judge just how proud I should be. Do experienced gunsmiths find this job to be a bit of a bitch? Or is this the tip of the iceberg and things just get a lot more difficult in the extended universe of gunsmithing.
Side note, I fucking love doing this shit! It gives such a feeling of tangible satisfaction I do not currently get at my work (Data analytics)... Makes me wish i was not so old, i would consider changing careers.
Anyway, thanks
So i now have a VP9 Match slide/barrel, and because the match has so many cuts in the slide many folks have ported it.

I know i can ship to the places that made those video's, but I would rather have it done locally. Thanks for any suggestions.
Basically if I an another "evil feature" to my IWI x95 does it make it less legal?
Or.. is the fact it was bought in MA in January 2021 make what ever i do with it legal at this point?
Or.. if a foregrip was added to it in February 2021 would it have become illegal even back then.
Or.... is everything so god dam confusing... nothing matters and if i get banged up on some legal issue the DA will charge me with everything and anything they can think of?
I do not plan on doing anything to get in trouble with John LawDog... so there is that.
Sorry for all the dumb questions... but i and here watching youtube video's about customizing x95's and was just thinking:
"Too bad i can't buy a foregrip... Wait am i being dumb thinking i can't have a forgrip??"

Edit: They fixed it after I emailed them
Basically they are running a sale and double charging you to send you two items.
You order an item
At the very end of the order you are taken to a screen offering you the same item for a lower price. You also have to scroll down quite a bit in order to read everything on the screen... No where did i see a confirmation of the original order.... just straight to this offer.
If you accept the lower price they charge you a second time and add the same item... a second time to your order.
I am quite sure if i took the time to read the entire page, it would have been made clear i was ordering a second item... Does not matter, it was still deceptive and bad for the customer..
All the reviews i have read show Arrowhead is a good company making a good product, Well this shit has ensured i will never purchase from them ever again.
