What would your design be if you painted a ‘98 SR5 extended cab?
At 288,00 miles, my ‘98 is ready for a paint job. My boyfriend and I are doing it (we have painted cars before and have a shop). It’s currently black with chrome trim. I was thinking of making it look like it’s driving through water; like from the drivers seat, you are going through a splash. That’s my arty idea. Otherwise solid color with some stripe accents.
I’m just curious what y’all would do if you could custom paint my truck.

Growing up I had curly hair and was very active. That combo would tangle it so bad my parents would sit me in the floor, they would sit on the bed/couch behind me, put their knees over my shoulders and brush with detangler. When I turned ~10, I cut my hair short. I started wearing hats a lot. Because I wore hats for the last 20+ years and had short hair, I never learned to take care of long hair.
Now I have longer hair (shoulder) and am hoping to grow it out more. I have tried long hair once before, 12 years ago, and did the standard shampoo/conditioner/brush routine, which made my hair frizzy and split, so I eventually cut it. So far, in my long hair experiment, I have learned to not wash it (only get it wet, more often the better), use oil once in awhile, regularly message my scalp with finger combing, and brush it regularly. I don’t have split ends like before, hair seems silky not frizzy, seems to grow, though it seems slower the last 6 months, no buildup on hair or scalp zits. My hair is way less curly now (from the hats I wear, I think). Hair is wavy now, but can get curly sometimes, like when braided wet. My hair strands are considered thin, but there is a lot of it.
Now my question is how do I improve my experiment?
-I think the brushing it part makes it frizzy and break, so maybe I’ll try a wide fingered comb?
-Oil it more often? (been using tea tree) Oil just the scalp? Tips? What sort of oil to use?
-I do get dandruff, but only on the top front and not always. I notice in the summer when I swim a lot in freshwater it goes away and seems the healthiest. (That’s how I figured out to just get it wet and not strip the oils with shampoo.)
-How do I promote growth? Message?
-I still love hats, but I am trying to figure out how to style it more. I really don’t like hair in my face, so I typically french braid it back when I don’t have a hat. Maybe headbands? I did that as a kid. Hair ties break hair right?
-I think I have trimmed it once or twice but haven’t had an actual hair cut. (I shaved my head and cut my hair myself for decades. My one friend doesn’t get split ends and has straight hair so she doesn’t trim.) Trimming is good right? Layering helps with waves? If I should trim, how much?
Any advice on any question would be great, thank you!!
