What do you guys usually keep in your golf bag?
I recently got a golf bag with way too many pockets, and somehow I already filled most of them.
Balls, gloves, tees, towels, plus sunscreen, lip balm, some energy bars and a small umbrella. I always keep a rangefinder in there too. I switched to the mileseey ionme2 lately, and it’s small enough that I just keep it in one of the side pockets.
But after a round, I realize I only take out a few things most of the time. Everything else is basically just might need it stuff. What’s something you always carry in your bag but barely ever use?

Am I crazy or is this just two avatars of Claude speaking to each other?
what actually deserves its own app anymore?
I'm currently on my third parking app and I think I've officially hit my limit.
yesterday I was downtown running a couple errands and only needed to park for maybe 45 minutes.
walked up to the meter.
no card slot. just a QR code.
fine. I figured it'd open a webpage, I'd tap Apple Pay, pay my $4 and leave.
nope.
App Store.
download the app. verify my email. make an account. create a password. enter my plate. add payment info.
then it asked if I wanted notifications.
that one I actually understand. telling me my meter is about to expire is useful. then it wanted tracking permission and I was like... guys, I'm leaving in 45 minutes. this relationship is moving way too fast.
the annoying part is my actual parking needs are incredibly basic.
I need to:
- enter my plate
- pay for 45 minutes
- maybe get a reminder before it expires
that's basically it.
later I was looking up a bakery and their menu was on menuforma, basically just opening in Safari so I could look through it without installing anything, and the contrast made me realize how much my tolerance for one-use apps has disappeared.
I checked my phone afterward.
three parking apps.
one laundromat app from a place I used once.
a hotel app.
an app from an event two years ago that I genuinely don't remember anything about.
I'm not anti-app. if I'm using something every week, save my preferences, send useful notifications, whatever.
but for stuff I might interact with twice a year?
I really just want a webpage.
so now I'm curious where other people draw the line.
what actually makes a service worth installing an app for instead of just using the browser?
