Idek how they'll adapt it, but if they are doing the manga way of adapting it just like chainsaw man or MHA or Jujutsu Kaisen were it was in its early stages ( a few chapters in and then an anime announcement). There won't be any sort of spoilers in this, just some points and how this feels more like a direct sequel and immediate connection to Superman. And also ofc why I feel like they should have taken a different route than trying to adapt a Tom King book ( I really don't enjoy a lot of his works ngl) and literally removing/failing to adapt the best stuff that makes WOT special anyway.
☛ I really really wanted Comet to be in this movie so bad 😭💔, I mean given Gunn himself said DCU adaptations will feel like standalone stuff, they could have just included Comet in this movie and explanation for how he exists would be the zoo in the fortress something like that. ONGOSH, I wanted to see Comet that was the only thing that would have made this movie a 100/10 for me 🥺💔.
