What is suppose to be comedy is really conditioning you for normalization of people coming door to door harassing you

With a lot of videos showing you authority figures coming to your home after things you say online (both sides of the isle) What are your thoughts on this? The impending police state? Light heatered think before post video? Normalize of people coming to your door about posts? No more free speech?

Does anyone else feel like their phone is listening to their conversations?

I've had this happen way too many times to completely ignore it.

The other day I was talking with a friend about buying a new pair of hiking boots. I never searched for them, didn't text anyone about them, and didn't look them up online. Within an hour, I started seeing hiking boot ads on Instagram and YouTube.

This isn't the first time either. I've had similar experiences with restaurants, random hobbies, and even obscure products I don't remember searching for. Every time it happens, it makes me wonder if it's just a coincidence or if something else is going on.

I know companies say they aren't constantly recording conversations for advertising, and there are other explanations like location data, browsing history, predictive algorithms, shared Wi-Fi networks, contacts, and the massive amount of information apps collect. At the same time, it can be unsettling when an ad appears right after a conversation.

I'm genuinely curious what everyone here thinks.

  • Have you experienced something similar?
  • Do you think it's just really good AI and data prediction?
  • Do you believe phones are actually listening through the microphone?
  • Is there another explanation that most people overlook?

I'm not looking for a political debate—just interested in hearing people's experiences and opinions. Some of the stories I've heard are pretty hard to explain.

A dad's story about healing and growth and what it means to be a dad.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a podcast episode I hosted. I’m still processing the event that happened to him, but it felt too profound not to share here.

The episode features an interview with a dad who, along with his family, was hit by a car while they were simply crossing the street. In an instant, their entire world was upended.

What really gutted me—and ultimately inspired me—was how raw and honest he was about the aftermath. He didn't just talk about the physical injuries and the grueling rehab (which were intense enough on their own). Instead, he focused deeply on the emotional and psychological journey of healing as a father.

It’s a heavy listen, for sure, but it’s ultimately an incredibly beautiful story about resilience, love, and what it actually means to be strong for your family when everything falls apart.

If you’re looking for something deeply human and perspective-shifting to listen to on your commute or during a workout, give this kind of story a search. It really makes you want to hug your people a little tighter today.

How do you cope with the anxiety of the "what-ifs" after hearing stories like this?

If you'd like to give it a listen let me know. Not trying to self promote.

The Kandahar Giant

Hey everyone,

I recently recorded an episode diving into the mystery of the Kandahar Giant. We explore the history, the report, and some of the theories surrounding this incredible story. It’s one of those legends that really makes you wonder about what’s out there…

If you’re into cryptids, historical mysteries, or just love a good “what if?” story, I think you’ll enjoy it. I’d love for you to give it a listen and let me know your thoughts!

I can provide a link to anyone who wants a listen

Curious to hear what the community thinks – do you believe there’s more to the Kandahar Giant than the official stories?

Seeking individuals who would like to chat about fatherhood / dad stuff/ really anything dad related!

I host a podcast obviously and I am preparing for our next months episodes. I want to cover the theme of dad since it's father's day next month and I want to cover anything and everything dad. I covered father's of cults and would like to do one on Genghis Khan since he is everyone's dad. But if you have anything dad related you could talk about for an hour I would love to sit and chat. The podcast itself covers anything and everything weird or odd gojng on in this world so the more weird the better. Also it could fall into the realm of mystery or murder is fine. Hope to hear from you

[IRTR] Seeking someone to talk about early childhood development and possible outcomes of abuse.

That's Effin Weird NSFW Over 150 episodes - 4 years running https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/fresno-nightcrawler-and-aliens-s2-ep-011/id1614480510?i=1000739229083 Conspiracy, cults, mysteries, odd encounters, news, Usually an hour long per episode.

CONTEXT: I've done a had full of episodes with criminals in them and it sounds like early childhood plays a big part. I know I know it's "well no shit " but I would like to go more in depth and the why the early childhood development plays such a key roll and is there anyway to unwritten a child's past to make them not turn into a possible criminal. I also know that not all children who have a trauma grow up to be criminals. This is why I need someone with some sort of degree or knowledge about this because j sound like a idiot! If you'd like to join me in this conversation and have discord and a microphone DM me.
