Hear me out

Anyone with any revolver and a printer and some experience modifying files could probably get this done. Print an oversized ar style grip modified to open like a clamshell, hollow in the middle with enough space to fit the revolver grip, closes with 4 countersunk machine screws. Pack the extra space with rubber putty(or silicone molding putty for a more permanent fit), and then sandwich the revolver grip inside. Close it up and you've got a generic print that will fit almost any revolver while also absorbing some of the recoil if you use a rubber or silicone putty for fitting.

What are your thoughts?

Sorry, when I see a company put out products like this, it just makes me not want to support that company.

Exmormon atheist ama

AMA former mormon atheist

I was born into a mormon family. I left mormonism and theism in my early thirties (about 3 years ago). I've completed 4 years of mormon seminary (1 year dedicated to old testament and 1 year dedicated to new testament kjv), I've participated in 2 years of full time missionary work (proselytizing and service labor), I've been a mormon temple worker, I've served in teaching and administrative roles in my local congregations. I'm open to any questions. I know that there's a lot of confusion and ambiguity around mormon doctrine and a lot of secrecy around mormon ceremonies. I'll do my best to answer honestly and respectfully

Input on first revolver purchase

I'm thinking I want to get into the revolver game and I've decided I want to go with a big bore 5 shot fanny pack edc. I'm torn between the Taurus talo 44mag, and the charter arms bulldog in 44 special or 45 Colt. Price is comparable with the Taurus coming in about 100(ish) higher. Anyone have any experience with both or enough experience with any of them that points you to a clear winner?

PS. I live in Alaska and this would also be my bear sidearm for hiking, fishing, hunting.

Allergies

I just found out that after over 30 years on this planet, I've just recently (within the past few weeks) developed a rather inconvenient cherry allergy. What is god's purpose in instantiating a reality in which this can happen? I'm having trouble imagining any intent or purpose that would explain this. If there is a god, he is not good. Fresh cherries are so delicious! (were)

Question for the former atheists in here

In deconstructing, many former theists (including myself) can trace back to the single bit of information that brought on the shift in perspective and the eventual arrival at atheism/agnosticism. I'm wondering if this is the same with former atheists

Firstly- what was your understanding of the atheist position while you were an atheist?

Second-What was the tipping point for you that eventually led you to theism and then how did you connect that to christianity specifically? Was it a specific argument or piece of evidence?

Is this a good deal? Seems like it

Wondering if this is just a moderately good deal or if this is one of those "you really shouldn't pass this up" moments

Omniscience is logically impossible

  1. Some truths are inherently first-person experiential truths that can only be fully known by the subject having the experience.

Example- I can never personally know how anyone else experiences rocky road ice cream without actually experiencing that from their perspective

  1. Fully knowing a first-person experiential truth requires being numerically identical to that subject.

In order to actually know what it feels like to taste and feel rocky road ice cream as Justin, I would actually have to BE Justin

  1. By the law of identity, one being cannot be numerically identical to all distinct subjects simultaneously.

I cannot simultaneously be Justin and myself. A=A

Neither can god

  1. Therefore, no single being can fully know all first-person experiential truths.

  2. Omniscience requires knowing all truths.

  3. Therefore, omniscience is logically impossible.

Tear this apart please. All welcome

Was recently asked the differences between Anarchism and Marxism in a completely unrelated sub (3d printed pewpews)

This was my response.

Anarchists and Marxists share end goals with relatively minor disagreement on how to achieve those goals.

These goals are horizontally organized society, decentralization of wealth and power, a stateless ideal future, and rejection of sociopolitical hierarchies.

The rejection of hierarchies is the biggest departure point between anarchists and Marxists/MLs. Anarchists typically favor the decentralized approach across the board (ie-toppling the state without replacing it) and relying on cooperative horizontally organized communities.

Marxists and MLs posit a strategically necessary working class state structured through short term hierarchical leadership, eventually fading to decentralized stateless communities and a "withering of the state"

Both usually reject intellectual property rights enforcement

Tell me I'm stupid. Tell me I got everything wrong. I'm ready

Or you could tell me I'm 10/10 the one true enlightened leftist if you want to 👉👈👁️🫦👁️

Why do you think that jesus was a descendant of David?

Why do christians think this? It doesn't seem to be the case at all. He wouldn't have any paternal lineage and his maternal lineage is never given as far as I can tell.

Do you embrace christian nationalism?

It's been a while since I've been active in this sub. It seems like christian nationalism has pretty broad support in here now. Is this the case for you personally? If so, why? If not, why not?
