Today's Fantastic finds at Ross

I've been hunting for versatile, year round fragrances that open with bright citrus or woods and dry down into a solid leather(literally on Scircle.ai looking for something like these two yesterday and decided to wait) These two absolutely nailed it. Both project really well and give off a classy but modern vibe. They also smell way above their price point. Very high quality and not synthetic at all, at least to me.

Banana Republic Midnight Hour

Opens with a really fresh mango and ginger kick before settling into a rich leather and oud base. Super versatile and an easy grab for hitting a taproom or catching a live show, which I do often, yet clean enough and non offensive for me at work also

Salvatore Ferragamo Intense Leather

The mandarin orange opening is fantastic and it drying down into a solid earthy, high quality Italian sports car leather and oakmoss. Feels super solid and well thought out and is perfect for overcast PNW days, but still fresh enough for the office.

I honestly would wear both even in high heat of summer without question. Highly recommend for other leatherheads.

2017 Singularity True Temperament confirmed 1of 8 w/ case candy and autographed memorabilia. 4425.oo USD shipped

Testing the waters on an absolute unicorn of a guitar. This is a pure feeler and I am in no rush to move it. I have only had this beautiful thing a few days, and while I am in deep like with it, I am not quite in love yet. I am not the shred God type and don't see myself using this thing to its full potential no matter how awesome it is. If the right deal does not pop up, I will happily keep it in the collection. This is a true collector piece for a hardcore Strandberg or Scar Symmetry fan.

**Conformation from both Per and Scar Symmetry in photos, also my Facebook seller rating as well**

Serious inquiries only. Lowballers will be politely ignored. PM me to discuss cash or trade offers... Price is OBO and will include fully insured shipping USA and Canada add 60 for EU

The Specs:

2017 Red/Black Swirl finish (1 of only 8 in existence)

Solid basswood body with a uniform 25.5 inch scale (no multiscale here)

EndurNeck profile, carved slightly rounder than standard

24 True Temperament stainless steel frets for perfect intonation

Husk built by the Yako factory and shipped directly to Sweden for the final finish and premium TT fretwork

Condition and Whats Included:

Meticulous, like new condition, with the exception of some scuffing on the pickguard from playing.

Original Strandberg gig bag and factory tools

Scar Symmetry case candy and tour laminate (minus guitar picks)

Exclusive memorabilia signed by Per Nilsson himself

Trade Interests:

Prefer cash plus trade but will entertain all. I am mainly looking for baritone and multiscale 6, 7, or maybe 8 string guitars, as well as high end boutique builds.

Brands I am into: Mayones, Tom Anderson, James Tyler, ESP, Ibanez, Ormsby, GoC, Skervesen, Vandermeij, Balaguer, or high end custom things.

Alright guys... The scent demon took over again... Who has these, and thoughts...

Picked up today at Marshalls 14.99 each and an EDP concentration....

I reached out to the company Bellevue Brands which apparently are housed inside the Empire State building in New York on 5th avenue, however I haven't heard back. They both smell great.... The ocean has this BDC meets Bvlgari Aqva vibe and the other one is like a Paco meets Savage cotton candy thing going on.....

Well for 10 bucks at Ross, color me impressed...

I just grabbed Bora Bora for Men by Liz Claiborne for $10 at Ross, and IMHO, it is a completely forgotten gem. The scent profile is shockingly good: it opens with a sweet and sour blast, others are saying Kiwi, it then transitions into a powdery lavender and hibiscus mid, and leaves a surprisingly solid leather and musk dry down. For an Eau de Cologne, the longevity defies logic. Expect 5 to 7 hours, easily outperforming most modern EDCs.

Beyond the performance, this fragrance completely defies seasons. It is a true all arounder that is good for any occasion, and despite its age, it does not feel dated to me in the slightest. If you see this at a rack store, do yourself a favor and take the plunge.

One of the rarest Strandbergs to exist apparently, that said #NGD

#NGD! Traded my Ibanez AZ2402 Prestige for this 2017 Per Nilsson Strandberg Singularity True Temperament 7 in Red/Black Swirl with this legit as fuck Scar Symmetry Case candy including Tour Laminate.

For features; from what I have been able to find since it's no longer on Strandberg Guitars website , it is a solid basswood body, a standard 25.5" uniform scale, instead of multi and is an endurance but a slightly rounder EndurNeck with 24 weird as fuck True Temperament stainless steel frets. Apparently the husks were made by Yako factory in China which has been doing guitars for Fender since the dawn of time, and then shipped to Sweden for finish work and True Temperament frets. (Supposidly only 8 exist according to previous owner) It’ll definitely take a minute to get used to how those squiggly frets feel under my fingers, but the clarity and perfect intonation are supposedly unreal and unmatched. Let's see how I feel about it after some real playing time!

My thoughts on Lynked Freedom by Afnan

The presentation on Lynked by Afnan Freedom feels really high-end with that heavy glass bottle and unique chain-link cap that despite not being magnetic seems to lock into place well. The scent definitely lives up to the comparisons its supposed to in my opinion. It opens crisp with bergamot, grapefruit, and sage, but in a sweeter but not sickening way. I feel the YSL youthful vibe for sure then it shifts into an aromatic mix of lavender, cardamom, and juniper, and settles into a warm, sweet base of vetiver, oriental notes, and caramel, which to me leans a bit more Posh or grown up smelling. It feels like the perfect grab for mild spring indoor summer or most any evening or fall temperatures. I can easily see myself wearing this to my local brewpub,or taproom,

(shout out to Wayfinder Beer and The Hoppy Brewer) for a nice pilsner or stout or when heading out to a live concert or show. It think, at least for me, that it smells fantastic right out of the box. With that said I am really curious to see how much smoother and deeper it gets once I let it sit and macerate for a month or so.

Bahar Mast Lexclusiv is very impressive

Absolutely beyond impressed with today's delivery.... while it's a bit darker take on the Bleu de Chanel Lexclusif DNA it does it so well and without the synthetic edge, Mast Perfume’s Bleu L’Exclusif is the first thing I have purchsed from them and I did so through Mecari second hand and it's great, apparently owned by Bahar beauty, someone I personally hadn't heard of but man it has me ready to explore the rest of their house. They macerate the juice for six weeks at a 30% oil concentration, giving it a dense, luxury feel.l I don't have with other inexpensive fragrances. It opens with crisp bergamot and juniper before settling into black pepper, cardamom, and a leathery amber in all the right ways. It creates a smooth bubble is masculine and prominent yet seems office-appropriate, and no complaints by anyone today at work. I feel it would handle warm summer evenings and indoor AC flawlessly yet may be a bit sweet for high heat days. For $55 bucks new it's well worth it, for the 22 I paid on Mecari it's I would have been stupid not to try it. It's an easy 8-hour winner on the skin and so glad it's part of the collection. Anyone else tried this company have insight on other scents or them as a whole?

Blind Buy

Did a double blind buy this evening and man, they are both so good. Vamos Voyage Elixir by Camara is basically an exact match for Sauvage Elixir. It might be a hint fresher on the opening notes, but the accuracy and longevity are definitely there. I put it on around 6 tonight and it is midnight now and still going strong. I would say it is 99 percent accurate. The other one is Afnan 9am Dive and it is also fantastic. It is like a fresh Bleu de Chanel. It starts out lemony and minty, giving off a YSL Y or maybe a Versace Dylan Blue vibe. But the dry down becomes so close to BDC it's super accurate and whatever it is going for it, it is definitely a summer hit for me..
