[Help] Trying to find a specific isekai manga

I am trying to find an isekai manga i was reading a few years back, but I can't recall the name.

It was an isekai, where the mc gets reincarnated into the body of a fat noble son. The mc read the story of the world in a book or a game so he tries to prevent the bad events from happening.

He exersizes to lose weight (but you dont really see the difference in the way he is drawn), he has a servant girl who was saved by the noble before the mc reincarnated into him and she is in love with him, but he does not feel the same way about her.

The mc goes into a magic school. The magic system is based around spirits, which choose who they get attached to of their own free will (or something like that, I don't recall the details).

His body had a bad reputation, but nothing that played too much into the plot.

The mc also has a pretty strong spirit. But its not like a power fantasy slop.

It was also drawn in black/white, no colours.

That is about all I can remember. Anyone ever read this?

Found it: Reincarnated as the piggy duke

Shared Beliefs AU (What if the heroes shared Ralsei's view of darkners) Part 9

Chapter 2 page 7

Does it really make sense for Sussie to do that and then laugh? Eeeeh, let's just say that she understands why Ralsei is missing, and making a joke out of it. Its not like she is blaming him for his aim.

I just wanted the scene to happen. As a mirror to the canonical glasses scene, and for more tragedy! Hey, maybe he will get better glasses later or something.

And who do you think Susie has in mind? (You will see in the next part!)

Ideas on real time battle systems with NPC vs NPC combat?

I really hate turn based combat, it's a whole lota waiting around, but it has one huge advantage. It allows the designers to create very finely crafted scenarious, because they have fine control over all character stats, abilities and positioning

Eg: fire emblem 5 thracia, (prety much the whole game is full of this stuff) there is a gladiator fight, where 2 of your kidnaped units must fight off a bunch of enemies until your other troops resque them.

Or in a lot of fire emblems, there are special green units (not the generic ones) which fight on their own, and you ussualy have to run to rescue+recruit them because they will only last a few (slightly random because of rng) turns.

‐---------------------

Apocalitch from sokpop has a cool real time based battle system, and it has 2 npc vs npc battles which you can join in if you are prepared for them to rescue the good npcs.

But that system still resolves combat inside of a battle box.

‐-------------------------

What I am looking for is something like an action rpg system, like old school legend of zelda. Combat is real time and hapens in the overworld (not in a separate battle box).

To give some basic design direction I will give a very vague idea for a game where this could be usefull.

------

You serve the demon king as his right hand, but a hero has taken arms against him! To get to your lord he must first defeat the 4 bosses. Your job is to slow him down as much as you can to let your king power up enough to win.

The hero will gather equipment and companions, you must hide them, guard them, kill them, trap them before the hero gets to them. Or you can help the next boss by giving him elemental damage or some spell. When the hero thinks he is ready he will go fight the boss. The hero + companions vs boss fight will give you time to prepare the next area for the heroe's arival and will give you info about how well the heroes loudout works (which is hard to predict because action combat is very dynamic).

‐-----------

Any ideas for combat mechanics which could make this work well?

I was thinking that attacks should be slow and well telegraphed. So the player could easily follow what was going on.

And the ai would need to be well crafted as well. To not result in spamming a single move or infinite kiting or draws (boring to watch)

Any thoughts on this? How would you design such a system?

Are there any great examples of games with fun and engaging npc vs npc combat?

Majesty the fantasy kingdom sim sudenly crosses my mind. Real great npc ai. (Although its more rpg than action)

Any Recomendations for Strategy Games where owned resources exist within the game world?

Just looking around for games, where your resources don't exist in some global storadge, but exist somewhere in the game world, where they can be stolen/destroyed by your oponenet. And sometimes you have to move them to use them, like a logistic chalange.

But I am not looking for a game specificaly about logistics, like factorio or OpenTTD.

I am looking for stuff like Emperor of the Fading suns.

Any recomendations?

Trying to find the 2D grid based program for making music

Hello, about a decade ago i came across a free program for making music.

It worked a bit like redstone, or circuit engineering. You would place down signal emiters, that would emit signals in a direction the beat you set. The signal would travel over the grid until it ran into some other object, like a note player which would play a note.

There were many more objects, I dont remember what they were, but I imagine there was all the stuff you would need. Like signal spliting objects, delaing a signal by a beat, holding a note for longer, changing a note over time and such other objects. They would all exist somwhere on the grid and would effect neighbouring cells.

It had an ASCI esthetic, basic symbols and letters and simple colours. No super advanced graphics.

I saw a video of it working but I was never able to make it work on my mashine. I just remembered that it existed and I though I would try it out again. Anyone knows what I am talking about?

Ralsei + Vessel ship part 3

The vessel just needs to get some armor next

u/EvilMurloc22 — 18 days ago

After all... it's rude to talk about someone when they are listening...

I know we want Ralsei to be Ralsei. But I thought it would make for such a tragic comic, so here is Ralsei, listening in on the (extreme) opinions the souls have on him. And we know how he feels about darkners... and himself. (I made two versions for both sides)

The tragedy comes from the fact that Ralsei will mold himself into any shape that the lightners (and potentialy the player? I am not sure if he actually wants to surve the player as well...) want him to be (even if it hurts him)
