I remember reading the books for the first time back in 2016, but I’ve already seen the first movie beforehand so I kind of already had an idea of what Edward looked like going into the books.

I wish I read them before I watched any of the movies so I could imagine what/who the characters looked like on my own, which is why I’m curious to hear what original fans have to say and what they imagined.

Also, side question: did you like Robert Pattinson’s casting for Edward?

I’m curious, especially because it feels like every shifting story I hear/read about, the person is usually only there for a couple of moments and then shifts back to their CR — it’s just made me wonder if people have spent much longer in their DR. I’m talking months or even years.

Also, if you wanna share what your DR is, that’d be pretty cool too!! I like learning and hearing about other people’s DRs.

I had a childhood that left my self concept + esteem and mind + body connection completely shattered. I’ll spare the sob story, but I’m in therapy now — have been since primary school but just somewhat recently started working with a therapist whom I genuinely like and who genuinely helps me. I’m truly working hard on bettering how I view myself and the self beliefs/values I have towards myself, but there are just some self limitations that sometimes feel impossible for me to overcome and rewrite, even with therapy.

Ever since I’ve learned about manifestation and the LOA, it’s like my whole world opened up — it’s helped reaffirm that I have control over my life, that nobody else gets to dictate the world that I live in, as well as nobody else gets to dictate me.

My self concept warps back and forth, either to the good side of things or the bad side, if that makes sense. An example of this is a basic one: “I’m an amazing and beautiful person and I deserve amazing and beautiful things.” It’s like that one moment, then the next it’s: “I’m an absolutely horrible being and I don’t deserve anything, not even the bare minimum.”

You can imagine how difficult that type of conflicting mindset makes it to manifest basic things like money and (any kind of) love lol.

Anyways, I’m sorry if this was all too long, I’m just looking to see what has helped others work through limiting beliefs and bettering their self concept, so if anyone wants to share their experiences and any advice, I’d be so grateful!

I created a Pinterest moodboard of TGCF, for the purpose of showing what the world (and characters) would all look and just feel like if it was all “real” (if that makes sense).

I really enjoyed this because I have a hard time with visualization, so putting this all together was like the novels coming to life for me, and I hope that anyone else who has similar struggles would like this too for that reason.

Side-note: Some of the pins include cosplays of characters (mostly Xie Lian and Hua Cheng) and I’ve noticed many of them provide their credits in the captions of the pins; so if there’s anyone you specifically like, you can look them up (or click the link to their site if it’s attached to the pin) and follow them too!!

I’m thinking about making this board publicly accessible, in the sense that not only can people view it but also add their own pins to it as well if they wanted to — and you wouldn’t have to follow my account to be able to do so. So, if anyone would want that too, lmk :)

Is it possible to be born with VSS? I feel like for as long as I can remember I’ve always had my visual snow. I never even questioned whether or not it was normal (because I truly thought everyone saw life like this) until I talked about it with my mom in either elementary or middle school — that’s when I learned not everyone saw what I see.

It honestly really just fucking sucks that I can’t remember a time where I saw life without all this, or even worse, that I never got to experience clear vision for a single moment of my existence.

Edit: for context, I’m 20 if that even matters lol.

Basically what the title says.

I’m not sure if anyone has already made a post about this or not (sorry if I’m being annoying, if so), but I want to read a yandere manhwa, manhua, manga, etc… where the yandere and the FL (or ML) actually end up together because I feel like a good amount of them end up with a doomed ending (such as death for either both characters, the main character or the yandere character).

Does anyone have any good recs? Open to literally anything, whether it be straight romance, BL, GL, etc…
