It started innocently enough.

Germany invaded Belgium, so naturally we fought back. We liberated Belgium, pushed into Germany, conquered parts of Austria, and eventually decided that the next logical step was to invade the United Kingdom.

That went really, really badly.

So, instead of learning from our mistakes, Belgium simply turned around and marched south-east.

And now...

We're Balkan.

What started as a desperate fight to defend our homeland has somehow turned into a Belgian expedition across Europe, ending with us embracing our new Balkan identity.

So if you're looking for a geopolitical strategy game where a small Belgian community can go from "please help us defend Belgium" to "we tried invading Britain, got absolutely clapped, and became Balkan instead"...
