Repairing jersey silk mikado Leonard Paris dress

I thrifted this vintage Leonard dress a few years ago with the intent to repair it but have been putting it off. There are some pretty bad holes on the front left side. The dress is large enough that I could take it in so that part of the fabric is removed but I’d prefer to repair it another way if possible so I can save the pockets.

Does anybody have any experience or advice with repairing something like this? It was only $5.00 so not a huge loss of it can’t be repaired but I’d love to be able to salvage it.

Recommendations for dessert to bring as hostess/host gift

Can anybody recommend a local bakery or somewhere that I can pickup something nice to bring for dessert to friends that are hosting us for dinner? Ideally located centrally or near the Westside.

1920’s flapper dress California, USA

I just purchased what I believe to be a 1920’s chiffon, drop waist flapper dress. There’s some damage, as seen in the photos that I’m considering repairing. Apologies for the poor lighting.

1920’s flapper dress

I just purchased what I am fairly certain is a 1920’s chiffon, drop waist dress. The side has snap closures that have come detached. If anybody has tips on repairs, please let me know. Apologies for the poor lighting in my room.

Decent and affordable dry cleaners

I’ve lived here almost two decades and still have not been able to find a dry cleaner that does a good job and has reasonable prices. Does anybody have a recommendation for a place that’s within a 30 minute drive of Beverly Hills?

Zuni?

I recently purchased this belt buckle from a thrift store. It appears to be a Zuni Knifewing but there are no inscriptions or markings on the back so I’m skeptical of it being authentic. Does anybody have any ideas?

Vintage 40’s/50’s kids dress

I purchased this dress that I think is from the 40’s or 50’s for my daughter at a thrift store. The material is sheer and feels like organza or organdy. There’s a tag inside that says, Sugar ‘n Spice Designed by La Rue”. The little bows are velvet.

I just purchased this Haori from a thrift store and would like help dating it. At first I thought it was 60’s/70’s but then the lotus print made me think 30’s/40’s. It’s silk and it has a crinkled texture to it. Any information is greatly appreciated!
