Solution to fix 002-0122 even after updating Nimbus
(Updated with new instructions)

This was caused by a mismatch of encoding types between the Account server and the Friends server, which has since been fixed. Existing Pretendo users and new users made after this announcement are not affected by this bug. If you are still receiving this error, try following these instructions to update Nimbus.
If you have newly installed Pretendo on a 3DS, and opened Nimbus for the first time in the last 2 days, you will have a persistent 002-0122 error code. You can follow the instructions below to resolve this issue.
