How sick would it be to recreate some of these shots with the Ram?

How sick would it be to recreate some of these shots with the Ram?

Let's be honest, Twister was just one big Dodge Ram commercial when it came out in 1996. I know the guys from Deboss Garage are doing the Canadian cross country trip with the Airstream. How cool would it be to take the Ram and recreate some of these iconic scenes at the filming locations in Oklahoma and Iowa while they're on their way back to Ontario? I know Twister fans with access to the original Dorothy props would definitely be willing to help out!

This Organ was $37,000. Now it's essentially worthless.

My grandpa recently passed away and we're in the process of sorting through his things. My grandma and him were avid musicians, and loved playing the electric organ.

Long story short, my grandma won a settlement from a motorcycle accident and came into a sum of money. From late 2008 until her death in 2011, they had bought and traded in 12 organs and had a 13th on order. My grandpa kept this one after she passed, and actually had it shipped from Arizona to Michigan when they sold their house down there.

This Lowrey Legend A4000 organ was $37,088 new. Even with their trade in, they still had to pay $12,000 for this organ. I had absolutely no idea they were that much until my mom found the invoices for everything. Their cancelled order was on a A5000, and that was $55k! He also still had his A200 that he originally bought for the house in Michigan. He tried selling it for years and had no luck, but (understandably) wouldn't give it away.

Now, essentially these organs are worthless. People have trouble giving them away. They've been nearly fully replaced with standard electronic keyboards. Facebook is loaded with free organs, or $250 immaculate examples. I cannot believe the loss of value these have. I'm half tempted to learn how to play it just because of the investment they made.

Alternator going bad?

2004 Sierra 1500 5.3. Been noticing lately that when the truck gets into higher RPM, the alternator seems to stop charging. Especially noticable when I was towing up a hill on the interstate at night, and it actually threw the charging system light and message on the display.

Is this a sign my alternator is going out? Is there anything else I should check? Battery connections are tight and seem to be corrosion free but the battery is 5 years old, starts fine.

Laundry/utility sink lift pump eats through check valves

My laundry is below grade in my basement, so it drains into this lift pump and then up about 5 feet and out. I've had this setup for almost 8 years now.

About every 6-8 months, I have to replace the check valve. Seems like they get dirty and debris causes them to leak and drain back into the sink, tripping the regulator to turn the pump on. I run a lint strainer trap on the washer outlet. I even swapped to a brass valve instead of the plastic flapper valve hoping that would get more life out of it. It did not.

Anyone know how I can get more life out of these? Or if I could set these up better? (Also, ignore the rubber boot. Leaking glue joint that I didn't want to disturb until I inevitably needed to replace the valve.)

What happened to all of the June bugs and fireflies?

Last night while driving home driving south across Michigan's lower peninsula, I realized how clean my windshield was staying, and how 15 years ago I've had to pull over and wash the June bug and fireflies off my windshield so I could see.

And that got me thinking, you rarely see fireflies/lightning bugs anymore. And I can't tell you the last time I saw a June bug. Have we really destroyed our ecosystem so much that they're just gone?

Looking to pull highest valve from specific columns then pull data from a corresponding cell

Newbie here, so I apologize in advance. I have a spreadsheet that I've recorded production totals per shift. The way that it's currently set up is 4 repeating columns per month, with column A being the date, column B is 1st shift, column C is 2nd shift, column D is 3rd shift, a blank column for notes and separation, and then repeats for the year. Example screenshot will be in comments.

What I am looking to do is pull the highest valve per shift across all 12 months and record it in one cell, then give me the corresponding date from the first column of that month and give it to me in another cell.

Say the max for 1st shift is January 22 with 1200 parts. I have the MAX function search column B, G, L, etc, it finds B22 with 1200, and records that no problem. I cannot figure out how to get it to pull the corresponding date data from column A, F, K, etc.

I tried XLOOKUP and MAXIFS and I seem to keep getting errors from trying to pull from multiple columns.

Any help is appreciated!

Intermittent no crank, audible relay click

2004 Harley Dyna Wide Glide 33k miles. Bike has had this issue since I bought it. I can hear the relay click, but it doesn't seem to actuate the solenoid/starter. Any other of vehicle, I would change the solenoid but it doesn't seem like these are readily available. I see there's solenoid rebuild kits, anybody done one? Anyone know if I'm in the right direction?

Intro song to "The Remake" (2006) film

I'm looking for the song that was in the intro credits to the indie film "The Remake" made in 2006, written and directed by Tommy Brunswick.

The song was called "Arizona" I believe, or possibly "Arkansas" by the band Torrance or Terrance. It was posted on their MySpace page back in the day but I cannot find it anywhere now.

Partial lyrics:

By the time we reach Arizona, we would have sold off everything from Arkansas

Just a [something] that preservates the scenery that we find only getting along

By the time we reach Arizona, by the time we reach somewhere

This feels like a crime!

I'm replacing the front pads and rotors on my 2010. 80,000 miles on the original brakes, with plenty of life left on the pads. I got tired of the rusted rotors causing a pulsation, and they were too pitted to save, but it's killing me having to pull these pads out!

Modern app like "My Tracks"?

I'm looking for an app that can record my path so I can view it later on Google Maps or Google Earth. I used to use the "My Tracks" app, but it's no longer supported. I tried OpenTracks but I can't seem to get the data to save in a format I can view again.

Tips For Preventing Sink Drain Clogging

The drain in my bathroom sink tends to start collecting gunk, and it seems like every year or so, I have to take the stopper out and clean it all out of that pipe and the trap. When it get this bad, it does affect the ability to drain, and starts to drain slowly. The only things put down this drain are water, hand soap, and toothpaste. Any tips for preventing this drain from getting this build up so I don't have to clean it?

Water/Dust in the trunk?

I had noticed an awful smell in my 2010 Fusion when I had the windows down. Finally traced it back to a small rancid puddle of water in my trunk. Come to find out, the vents had lost their rubber flaps off them. I also realized that's why I was getting so much dust in the trunk if I drove with the windows down on a dirt road.

So I found the part number for these vents: EF2Z-16280B62-AA. These retail for $44.90 a piece.

I found that they replaced part number: 2F2Z-16280B62-AA. These retail for $23 a piece. The only difference is a piece of paper inside the bag with the vent. These are obsolete now, but you can still find them online for cheaper than the EF2Z parts!

Just wanted to put that out there because $46 is a lot better than $89!

Brand new used truck I bought today! '91 F-350 bucket truck

Just picked up this bucket truck today. 460 E4OD combo. Currently only runs on spray, seems like an electrical issue to the pumps. But the bucket works! Should save me $11k on taking down some trees in my yard.

Worked on my Lightning today and crawled underneath for the first time. This has been a Michigan truck for it's whole life, so I wasn't surprised by the rust when I bought it, but the body kit hides it well. Well, I found out the passenger ground effect was only being held on by two bolts, because the rest of the rocker is gone. So instead of losing an unobtainium piece, I decided to pull it off until I can finally get around to fixing the rust.

I've got an '04 Arctic Cat F6 that I've got a couple bogie wheels delaminating on. Where is the go-to place for getting these replacements? Everything I'm finding has these wheels $50+ a piece and that seems a bit extreme for a piece of plastic and a bearing.

I had suspected termites for the last few months in both my house and my detached garage, but I wish I had paid more attention sooner. Orkin came out the other day and confirmed the sawdust and mud tubes were termites. They'll treat it with a 5 year warranty for $5300, $2500 for just the wall cavity treatment with a 1 year warranty. The biggest thing that concerns me is that supposedly that stops and prevents, but what do I do about the existing damage? How do I determine if it's bad enough structurally that it needs repair? With as widespread as it is in my garage, I'm afraid I'm going to damn near have to start over and frame the whole thing. And what am I missing behind the plaster in the house?

How do I determine the extent of the wood damage? How much is too much to repair? And is $5300 a reasonable price?

After 21 years of production, the last 6R80 came off the line at the Livonia Transmission Plant yesterday, April 28, 2026. Aside from a few more main controls that need to be built for service through August, the line has ceased all production.

UPDATE - Apparently they are running 130 more units today. So today, April 29, 2026 will be the last day for 6R80 production. The one pictured will be the last case to build through the line.
