Local vs travel to buy a vehicle??

Is the hassle of having a vehicle shipped, or dare I say fly out to buy a vehicle ever worthwhile? I’m taking a Hybrid Honda crv, not a rare exotic. I’m in Pennsylvania if it matters

Today I got a quote on a ‘26 Odyssey EX-L… $42,428 dealer price… $3000 down, 36 month lease, 30k miles, $507/month

I have no clue if this is good or not

Would you buy a certified 2024 Atlas with 60,000 miles?

I’ve always been a Honda guy so I’m not sure on how mileage translates to a Volkswagen. I like the vehicle I’m looking at is certified, but I need some input from you guys with VW experience.

It’s a 2024 VW Atlas Peak Edition with 60,486 on it. VW Certified Pre-Owned

Coming home with a ‘26 Odyssey tomorrow… gimme the insider info

It’ll likely be the EX-L or Sport L, haven’t decided yet.

Give me some insight on them… what are some settings you’ve come to enjoy? What are some things you’ve modded? What issues are common? (all these electronics/computers make me nervous)

Tips on negotiating my first ever brand new vehicle?

Tomorrow I will likely be coming home with a 2026 Honda Odyssey, either EX-L or Sport L.

I was given a $436 monthly payment (10k mile/year 36mo lease) with a total of $5245 down… $27,902 buyout ($44,290 Msrp, $490 doc fees)

Where is my negotiating power? Can I ask for the sport L instead of the EXL for the same price? …. Maybe a special order color for the same price as the quoted color (gray)…. How about undercoating the vehicle?

Admittedly, and unfortunately, I’m pretty clueless with financing anything. I’ve only financed my homes in the past. This will be a vehicle we keep for 10 years or more hopefully

(if anyone can beat this deal and you’re within 60 to 90 minutes of northeastern Pennsylvania, let me know)

‘26 Honda Odyssey EX-L vs ‘26 VW Atlas 2.0T SE???

Drove both today, loved both. Didn’t like the Mazda cx90 at all… obviously the Odyssey is a van and Atlas is large SUV…. But what else can you tell me about longevity, drivetrain, maintenance, etc?

This will be a vehicle we own for many years

Should I go Hybrid vs all-gas for a long term vehicle?

Looking at Mazda and Honda at the moment… CRV and the cx70/90s for the most part. CRV is offered in the hybrid but I’m wondering if that battery will come back to bite me several years down the line…. For context, I still drive a 2008 CRV, it’s got 187k on it

Best vehicle for a family of 4/5. No familiarity with Mazda.

Looking into a new vehicle for the family. I’m wondering if there are any problematic models that I should avoid. It looks like Mazda is highly talented in general, but I’m sure there’s a couple lemons in the group.

Both catalytic converters are clogged on my VW Tiguan. How to proceed?

2017 Volkswagen Tiguan Limited.

Just got a call from the shop and said both catalytic converters are clogged up with carbon buildup. The shop said it’s $1800 to have it replaced (I’m assuming this includes labor). I did a parts search and I found the attached item. Is this all it is? If so, I’m doing this myself.

Gravel driveway stone selection

Been in this home for 4 years and the driveway is rough. It’s 300 yards long and it looks like the previous owner had a mishmash of material laid down… millings, 2a modified, 2b… I’m wondering what you’d recommend having delivered

Side question, what stone/gravel material is the cheapest thing under the sun? I’d like to have that spread around my beehives to mitigate weeds

Honda crv runs like a top but the wheels like like complete shit, and there’s a few rust spots inside the door and little other spots. Let me know.

I saw an ad for a free water testing from Culligan. The guy left my house and I have a $13,000 proposal sitting on my table….

Hardness 19
Iron 0.5
Ph 6.0
TDS 74.5
I have well water…

Quoted for … Big Grey w/ Sediment filter… Select Plus CollAir… Select Plus Softener…RO machine… UV light

I can’t imagine there isn’t a way to do this myself and save several thousand dollars. Has anyone done this?
