My thoughts and review of the new electric ES

I’m going to keep this short (after all the edits irs actually kinda long lol) because there’s honestly not much to say. I’m going to list my thoughts in bullet points:

- steering wheel is atrocious

- looks like a generic EV with not much soul. Yikes

- the car only looks good in black color so it hides the side trim

- very similar to the RZ in driving feel despite very two different designs. The ES is very long

- interior is a lot sturdier and feels a lot nicer in real life than in pictures. it was very pleasant inside and due to the simplicity of the dash and console it feels more spacious of previous versions

- the car has more metal buttons than any previous Lexus and that for me was the biggest surprise and improvement. better haptics

- exactly what you’d expect from an electric ES, except its a lot more nimble than previous generations

- interior feels genuinely nice if you don’t look at the wheel

- acceleration is obviously very quick but felt underwhelming for an electric car. not *nearly* as quick as the RZ

- handling was very good in my opinion for a sedan like this. was genuinely impressed around the corners having driven a million of other ESs, this is the first one that doesn’t have much body roll and doesn’t feel boaty

- this specific car didn’t have any audio upgrades, and the base audio was BAD compared to previous ESs. again, not bad audio but bad compared to the base audio on previous gen ESs

- car in black actually looks nice and cyberpunkish with panoramic sunroof open

- i didnt drive it in sport mode because during my short test ride I couldn’t find the freaking toggle for driving modes

- new infotainment more complicated than previous versions

- for all the downsides this car has it could have a MUCH better range

- overall 5.5/10. Exactly what I expected and lowkey underwhelming but still an amazing car. Could’ve been a lot better though. 5.5 rating based on its full hypotet potential, what this car could’ve truly been. but compared to current industry , it’s fine and it’ll sell

- seats were more comfortable than last generation but not as comfortable as early generations

- like any other Ev and doesn’t have much soul unfortunately. it’s fine for what it is and it’s still VERY comfortable. I forgot to mention that, it’s comfy comfy comfy but all ESs have always been. The ES has always been a very relaxation inducing car and this is no different

edit: someone explain to me how someone’s subjective opinion and review of a new car on its dedicated subreddit warrants downvotes (65% upvote ratio)

Before vs after trim

first time trimming my own beard because every time I get it professionally shaped up, something seems to get messed up. Finally getting the hang of it it seems

December 2025 vs 2026

(Resubmitting with routine) I wish I had videos of my flexibility before but it was really poor. Growing up I was really uncoordinated and inflexible, directly related to my rapid growth spurt and lack of mobility training and exercise. I’m 25 now and have been working out consistently since high school.

Currently my routine is 15 minutes of full body stretching before and after bed, 3 days a week of weightlifting (1 day lower body, 1 day pull, 1 day push), those days include compound lifts with dumbbells and also bodyweight exercises. 20-30 minutes of stair master at speed 6, and 30 minutes of full body stretching afterwards. On the 4 days of the week I don’t go to the gym, in 1 or 2 of those I either run, bike, hike or sprint. My diet is clean Mediterranean. The key is to keep it simple, diverse, consistent and fun. happy to answer any questions

How’s my physique for being 6’4’’, considering my health history?

I had testicular cancer at 20, now 25. I am currently doing it with only one ball, and no supplementary testosterone. When I’m on Reddit and social and media I struggle a lot when I compare my progress with others because I’ve been lifting and working out for almost a decade now. Under ideal circumstances I should’ve attained a peak natty physique with all the time and effort I’ve put in…. but to be fair ever since my cancer I stopped doing a weightlifting bro split/ PPL, and started doing more cardio and diverse exercise

Best places/bars in and around the Lehigh valley where you can drink outside in nature?

are there any cool bars with nature around where you can chill? maybe some grass where you could lay down? I moved from europe to Pennsylvania and I LOVEEEE so many things here, especially the nature, but I wish there were more gathering locations outdoors for adults, with draft beer

Need advice to trade in my es350 for a ls430

I love my car to bits but my heart is calling for an early 00s LS. I purchased my car from its original owners with no accidents and 88k miles last February for 13,5k. so far I put 20k miles on it, put all new better than OEM brakes, top of the line tires, did a shit ton of maintenance etc etc. The last owner never drove it in the winter so it has NO rust. It has a very light timing cover oil seep which is common with the 2gr-fe engines though (very common issue with these engines, its Achilles heel. It can stay benign for years until it needs to be addressed . I work at a Lexus dealership though, and I could get that fixed for half the cost before selling it. I believe I can get over 5 digits for it, put some extra money, and buy myself my dream LS. located in PA. What do you think? I’d love to get specific advice and directions from people who own an Ls 430 also who wants to buy my car lol

The story of the Altima in my neighborhood.

This was the model house of our neighborhood (built in 2013) that was sold last around 2020. I personally believe 2 or 3 generations live there because there’s a ton of people and a million cars. Our neighborhood is super friendly, however they haven’t said hi to me once despite me saying it to them

This car used to look decent a long time ago, and you could tell it was driven regularly. About two years ago, it stayed parked for over 6 months with an open sunroof, getting rained and SNOWED on (we are in PA) and it started getting ugly - it was interesting seeing the stages that paint went through. This picture doesn’t do justice to how bad the paint deteriorated over the last 2 years only. There’s green shit developing all over the back. Then, all of a sudden one day, they started driving it again, and I kid you not, a few weeks later it showed up like this on my street. Crashed to shit. It has remained crashed in here for over a year, pushing two.

Now, someone in that household, in the meantime, bought a sweet ass scat pack charger in an olive green color. It’s beautiful. I’m not even kidding. The picture of the clean charger behind this Altima is poetic. I have to snap a picture of it. the only reason I haven’t posted before is because I was giving the benefit of the doubt but it’s been over a year, but it’s been an eye sore. Thankfully the other family members park their other cars in front of this pos. dead. ASS!

Back when interiors were sturdy and classy.

What I personally value the most in a car is its interior. I despise how the pursuit of maximum profits stole from us consumers, well built, classy interiors. This car is 13 years old with over 100k miles and there’s not a single crease on the leather. I drove a lot of new Lexus lately and the new interiors feel so cheap and bland compared to old Lexus. Even some lower end car manufacturers seem to be putting out more interesting interiors than Lexus.

“24 months training”

dude is 20. I think this progress is possible in 2 years if he started weight lifting at 18, after having had a super athletic childhood, adolescence, overall genetically gifted, and quite short. If that’s the case he’s been ”training” way longer than 2 years. If none of that checks out, then juice.

How to report deleted hate comments?

there’s someone who’s been repeatedly leaving hate comments on my posts, on multiple subreddits and different days. They’ll delete it right after so I get the notification but am unable to report them. he’s been doing on different accounts so blocking one doesn’t do much
