Originally from a 1996 Goa collector cd series with mixes. But the creator decided in 2023 to make a collection called From the Ashes where he brought all the tracks he made for collectors into a new remastered package (the one linked here).

Cool new track that gave me sweet gabber vibes 🔥 I checked his bio for the specific genre, and it said Retro, so I guess thats an acceptable genre name for these new tracks with old vibes.

I was just gonna share, but although a flair called discotrance was not what I expected to find, it did ignite a spark regarding discussing this sound.

Is a running Moog (or soundalike) enough to produce a sound considered (part of) trance? I remember the neverending discussions over I Feel love, especially the Cowley mix, if it may in fact be called an early trance track.. You wont get the definite answer on that here, just mine (and maybe your own), and I say yes, this groove puts me in a trance 👀

Funny fact : Theodor Nabuurs is the Theo in Charlie Lownoise & Mental Theo 😄

Hi all! I've joined this sub only recently, always had an attraction to both house music and specifically the electro sounds of running synths.. Went to a festival last weekend and noticed a steady rise over the years, especially in techno scenes, to use more and more distorted electro sounds and synths as the leads for new tracks. Especially Enrique's (ex husband of De Witte) set was full of it. Now in techno its not like there are many leads per track, but the effect is cool.

Posting one of my favorite electrohouse related classix from 2001, Dima (also known as Vitalic) remixes from that period are always great.

Came across this track while doing someone's quest in search for an older vocal track.. The vibe really touched me, maybe also because of the cheesy romantic video that comes with it ❤️

I always found this track to be really obscure and in the shadow or never visited the right events to hear it in extensive decibels, I guess because of the breaks/bassline. I usually like lots of weird music and understand not everyone can share the same taste. I hope the 303 lovers will appreciate it. And if you know any other acid tracks using a kick/bassline like this, please share 🔥

After my a bit out of the ordinary interpretation of the sub last week I wanted to check if I understand it better now with this track ❤️

I'm only three tracks in myself, so no full opinion yet but wanted to share, awesome show and from what I heard until now decent hardcore with normal basses 🔥

The original track is from 1995 (also known as Backfired). This mix only came out in 2021 as far as I could find, but was made by Robotnico himself 🔥 So its a bit of a classic vibe, and for all we know it might have even been made much earlier than that it was published.

Fresh from the remaster studio of Lieb, together with the C-Mix (normal bassline) and the Chill mix (no bassline) which both have been posted before. This version has a slow triphoppy kind of breakbeat bassline, and with tracks like these they are definitely worth to be listened in higher quality than that vinyl was able to give us.
