Some quick shots from when we cut the tree's to expand the small field.

We are in the process of building a cow shed for a few Angus and Limousin cows. The small field has to be expanded to plant corn for the cows. The manure will come in handy for the apple orchard.

The wheat is in. First harvest of the year.

So, we rented a Massey Ferguson MF87 for the wheat field. Now let's see how long it will keep my chickens fed. If needed, we will expand the field. Next up is the potatoes, the field that was expanded this year. Hoping on 25.000l or so.

The new Merlo P41.7

This thing is making life on the farm much more enjoyable for us on the New Lands Farm. Bought it at an auction for a decent price and it is getting used for a variety of tasks.

The potatoes are being drilled and planted on the expanded field so there should be a bigger yield when harvest comes.

Light field watch. Changed the original metal strap to a fabric strap. My first titanium, so light. Really happy with how it turned out.

So, we desperately needed a heavier 4wd tractor with all the hills and the increased size of the farm. At the farmers market a guy told me that he knew one for sale not too far from here. We went over to see this **Deurz-Fahr Agrostar 6.61**. It was repaired a few years ago and looked overall pretty good. So we traded the 2 Massey Fergusons for the Deutz.

We put it to work immediately at the sawmill hauling logs and it went perfectly. The planks are being sold to a local vendor.

A few days later it was finally time to sell the potatoes, almost 16.000l of them. It brought in a good cash influence.

Winter is coming so besides some log work and keeping the chickens fed, not much is to be done at New Lands Farm.

So, I desperately needed a heavyer 4wd tractor with all the hills and the increased size of the farm. A guy at the farmers market said he saw one for sale nearby. We ended up trading the 2 Massey Fergusons for this Deurz-Fahr Agrostar 6.61. Now I can haul heavyer loads!

Put it to work immediately at the sawmill, hauling logs and has a decent amount of power.

Also, time has finally come to sell the potatoes. Almost 17.000l of potatoes was a serious weight so

After selling off some equipment I was just able to buy a new old Massey on the cheap. The paint was all rusty but I had a pot of white paint left so now it's white, doesn't look half bad. The potatoes are in containers in the shed waiting for sale. Next year I'm expanding the field I think.
