I was watching this steam tractor at a tractor pull, and got to thinking - why wasn't the American West set ablaze, like it easily is now, by the embers of coal/wood -fired steam locomotives?

Is there a place that sells PPE to fit tweens? Gloves, leather aprons/jackets, etc. Even mini-me helmets would be nice....
Kid looks like the guy in Big right now when he goes back in time to being a child.

Show us your best pop/soda can welds. Old cans were easy, so please only post welds of the modern, thin-ass, aluminum cans here. Say if you used a positioner - assumption is you did not. No laser wizardry.
Here's my best one after dozens of prior cans were sacrificed for the greater good.

The DARPA Lift Challenge just had a medical incident (I'm guessing heart attack from slinging payload weights), so the livestream is offline.
Please crosspost to r/drones - they banned me a while back for citing regs.

Copper holds near $6.32 a pound showing continued strength, as gold retreats to $4,053
Copper is going to continue to go up as the amount of available copper worldwide is shrinking everyday.

Had mice in the car and ran electric traps in it. Those were taken out when fam borrowed the car.
I got in this morning, and I saw this little face peek out from under the front passenger seat. So cute, and the mouse smell is totally gone, so the "food source" got removed, lol.

12V battery not charging in camping mode since the latest OTA update?
I keep getting a message that the battery is low and to start the car after a few hours in camping mode (open the door with it off, pump "gas" pedal three times, then I press the brake -- car AC, outlets, Center Display, etc runs "forever" while parked).
Anyone else seeing this?
It's an SS if it matters.

Just got this email from Google - essentially granting themselves permission to sell your data for anything BUT ads
They need to delete the last 4 words and get express permission to give my readings to any third party vs this carte blanche weaselwording.
Are you all ok with this?
