Ive been focusing on fresh and summer appropriate frags, and I think these are enough, I'm missing a clean white shirt linen vibe scent profile and I'm gonna go with Prada L'homme impression from arome. And a frag from the vibrato and tygar scent profile, after that I'll move to build my winter rotation, with filling the missing scent profiles first, like iris scent profiles (dhm line) and also a leather masculine scent profile (Tuscan leather). I really like chocolate based fragrances so recommend me something that is chocolaty but not loud, sophisticated elegant high quality and close to skin chocolate gourmand.

Ombre Nomade is one of those fragrances you either love or hate, with very little middle ground. If you follow Noel Deyzel, you already know how much he loves this profile, I've followed him since his fitness-content days, and honestly, he's the reason I wanted to try this DNA in the first place.

Before I go further: I don't own the OG Ombre Nomade. Everything I say about the original here is pulled from reviews and research on Reddit, Parfumo, and Fragrantica. If you own the OG and your experience is different, I'd genuinely like to hear it, drop your thoughts.

Critics call it a synthetic bomb pungent, animalic, unwearable, strong enough to stink out public transport off one spray. People can't even agree if there's oud in it. That divide matters, because it's exactly what I ran into with these two impressions.

NOTE: Both testers have matured over a month now. Nioi especially, in the first few weeks the opening was so harsh and synthetic I couldn't smell it without reacting. That's completely gone now. Opening is smooth, not cough-inducing.

SCENT PROFILE:

I expected this section to be long. It's not. To my nose, both impressions smell like chaalia (supari, betel nut) nothing else. Not medicinal supari, realistic supari. No leather, no rose, no incense, and almost no complexity or development on skin or clothes. Both are linear. The only real difference: **Belagia** runs warmer, with a resinous sweetness that shows up more in the dry down.

PERFORMANCE - NIOI:

This is where it gets interesting. Nioi is beast mode, full stop, room-filling, insane projection, insane longevity. After maturation the sharp alcohol blast is gone completely; what's left is just loud and strong.

Two sprays was enough to overpower everything else in the room. Projection is intense for the first 2-3 hours, then it holds a strong bubble for another 6-7, anyone within arm's length can smell you. On clothes it lasts days. Even on my skin, where most fragrances die fast, this one survived scented body wash and moisturizer on top of it.

Don't go past 2-3 sprays. You'll choke everyone around you, including yourself.

PERFORMANCE - BELAGIA:

Way more toned down, airier. Don't mistake "toned down" for weak, this is still a strong impression. On clothes: about 12 hours total, with a full hour of real projection before it settles into a skin scent through hour 5. On skin alone it's less impressive, 6-7 hours max.

Between the two, Belagia is the one I'd actually choose to wear.

WHO IS THIS FOR:

You don't need Noel's physique to pull it off, just his comfort with being the loudest thing in the room. If that's not you, this fragrance will wear you instead of the other way around.

Lahore police have suspended the entire staff of Ghaziabad police station after an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) was accused of raping a woman inside the police station, senior officials said on Tuesday.

According to Lahore DIG (Operations) Faisal Kamran, the alleged assault took place on Sunday inside a room on the upper floor of the police station. The official said the complainant identified the location during an inspection by senior police officers.

The DIG said the entire police station staff was suspended under departmental rules, as personnel on duty were responsible for preventing misconduct within the premises. He said no officer questioned why the ASI had brought the woman to the police station without the presence of female police personnel.

According to a police report, more than 70 officials and personnel posted at the station have been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.

Nothing in this country is going the right way.

This review took longer than planned I honestly wasn't reaching for this one as I was for the others. But finally here we are.

First of all, I don't own the OG and never smelt it, so this is not a side by side comparison. Everything I'm gonna be talking about is totally based on the reviews I read online including (fragrantica, parfumo and yt channels) along with how this impression smells. So if you own the OG and the experience is different, that's completely fair. I'm not claiming it's a 1:1 or something like that. CAUTION: this left a stain on a shirt, it eventually faded but be careful when spraying on lighter colors.

The weather plays a crucial role in how it smells and performs so my conditions here in Quetta while testing are in the 20-35 degree range roughly. This bottle is matured for 5 weeks and it has genuinely got better when it was in the first and third week. Initially the opening still had a noticeable alcoholic harshness to it, not cough inducing but it definitely wasn't smooth. Fast forward a couple weeks and the opening and even the dry down is much smoother now, it feels well blended. So don't judge this straight out of the box, give some time. All my tests are based on multiple outdoor and indoor (controlled environment) testing and wearings. I'll talk about everything in detail now.

SCENT PROFILE + PERFORMANCE - ON CLOTHES (outdoor and indoor) :

On the very first sniff, I knew this scent profile and later after some remembering this is the signature scent of my company's CEO. Not necessarily do I dislike him or the scent profile, I was still kinda disappointed. I wanted something genuinely unique something that I have never smelt, but ig that's why don't blind buy guys 😭 Coming back to how it actually smells and performs.

The opening is citrus forward, the citrus here is not bright, juicy, and refreshing kind like in (afternoon swim, etc). It's much more grounded and masculine, blended with spices around the edges, overall it feels super mature. I couldn't pick up blackcurrant as a distinct note, it's like all three top notes are blended well together into one accord. When I say spices don't imagine something polarizing 😭 it's like smooth and non offensive. The projection here is around 1-1.5 arms length max with airflow, if not it stays relatively close even in the opening, so it's not a huge performer or has crazy sillage. I can somewhat improve the sillage more but doing so makes it unbearable so 4-6 sprays is the sweet spot.

After 25 - 30 mins, the spices starts to dominate and the citrus falls into background, at this point the performance is still the same no significant changes.

After 50-60 mins, the spices start to go into the background (still present around the edges) and you get this smooth woody warm profile taking over. Projection at this point start to get noticeably lower, just under an arm's length and people can smell it comfortably. This is the point where it gets linear, so all the scent evolution happens within the 1 hour mark.

I can constantly smell it around this time but, after this upto the 2nd hour I only catch random wiffs of it here and there.

After the 2 hour mark, a smooth leather comes in and starts to dominate the woods, it's not like ombre leather or Tuscan leather kind, it's more wrapped around this smooth woody profile, and the spices from before has completely vanished at this point. The projection is still holding up quite good, under an arm's length. The scent profile stays like this untill vanishing.

Then around the 3 hour mark, the projection has settled completely not a skin scent yet but sits very close like 2-3 cm max. There is a hint of sweetness, but it's not from the vanilla note listed, actually I never got any vanilla sweetness at all, which was something I was really looking up to. It's that smooth woody sweetness.

At the 3.5 hour mark it turns into a complete skin scent, someone hugging or really lose to you can pick it up. and the final lasting time is divided, if you are in an AC environment with controlled and constant temperatures this lasted for 20 hours, and outdoors lasted for 10 hours, so realistically this can easily cover your single wearing that is usually around the 8 hour mark. But I absolutely do not recommend overstaying this. Compared to the older batches of the OG I must say the sillage and projection is not up to the mark, ans that's actually the reason I went with this thinking it would project really well.

ON SKIN (indoors + AC environment) :

The initial 15 mins is the same as on fabric but within 15 mins my skin just eats up the citrus not completely (still present around the edges) and I'm left with spice dominant profile. Surprisingly on my skin the spices feel super loud and harsh, not an issue of quality, it's just skin chemistry playing. In the air no harshness so it's fine tbh. Projection is also the same here.

After the 45min mark, projection comes down significantly, and leaves you with a scent bubble of half an arm. Spices are still dominant here and the citrus is completely vanished and taken over by the smooth woods,

Around the 1.5 hour mark, the leather comes out, but the spices don't get in the background, instead it's like a mixture of all of it including the woodiness. Can't really say if any note is dominating the other one here. The projection although is even less now, within the 2-3 inches range, spicy warm leathery woods.

And around the 2.5 hour mark, Leather takes over, spices vanish, and it's a blend of smooth soft woody leather. And it's actually a bit more sweeter on my skin than on it was on clothes. I still wouldn't say it's vanilla like sweet and that's a dissappointment. by this time it has completely turned into a skin scent. after 5-6 hours it completely vanishes from my skin.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

If you're in your late 20s to 30s or above, and want something masculine serious that you can make a signature scent, this is a great option, even if you're younger you can still rock this but you should have a mature nose and a liking to spicy fragrances.

The occasion where I really enjoyed this is on jummah prayer when wearing black. Or at any serious atmosphere. Remember I mentioned my CEO? This smells fucking amazing on him, and also brown farhers like this as well, so can be a great gift for them as well. Imagine being in a black suit who knows his shit and where he is, that's the kind of vibe it gives. do not blind buy it no matter how pleasing it might sound.

If you ask me? don't like this scent profile as much as I thought I would, too mature and warm for my taste. I wanted the citrus part to carry on for longer. Don't get me wrong on this one it's just a difference in taste, I really do appreciate the scent profile for what it is doing.

Would I repurchase this dna? NO.

Would I consider this when gifting someone older with a mature nose? ABSOLUTELY!

OVERALL RATINGS :

Scent profile: for me personally - 6/10

Bottle and presentation: 9/10

Performance: 7/10 (I was expecting more projection)

Arome as house: 8/10

Alright so after using this properly for around a month, I think I can finally give my thoughts on it. Before getting into the review tho, one important disclaimer.

I have NOT smelled the original Hawas Ice or Hawas for him OG side by side. Everything I'm talking about here is based on Pakistani impressions because that's what I've actually used over the years. So if you've smelled the OG and your experience is different, that's completely fair. I'm just assuming these impressions are somewhere around that 90-95% mark.

Hawas OG vs Hawas Ice:

This is honestly where most people get confused, and tbh I was too before trying it.

To my nose, Hawas Ice is only 25% different from the OG. My friend thinks it's closer to 10-15%, so yeah... everyone's nose is gonna pick up different things. The easiest way I can explain it is this. Take the Hawas OG DNA and just... Freshen it out.

That's literally what Hawas Ice smells like to me. People talk about the extra notes like marine accords, star anise, oakmoss, icy accords etc. but honestly I can't sit there and point at individual notes. Everything is blended together that it just comes across as one fresher version of Hawas instead of "oh here's bergamot... here's marine... here's oakmoss."

Also one thing I noticed... the freshness isn't just an opening thing. A lot of fresh fragrances start super bright then after an hour they're basically a different scent. Hawas Ice doesn't really do that for me. The freshness stays throughout the whole wearing. Even in the drydown it still smells like Hawas Ice instead of suddenly turning into regular Hawas.

Is Hawas Ice redundant?

Yes it is if you already own the OG. Unless you're collecting bottles, I don't really see the point in owning both. That being said... I personally like Hawas Ice way more. It's just easier to wear. Better in high heat, feels cleaner, more versatile, and somehow still works in winter too. I still wouldn't go crazy with sprays in peak summer because this DNA can get a little cloying if you overdo it, but compared to the OG I'd reach for Ice every single time.

I've also tried quite a few Pakistani Hawas impressions at this point and every house kinda does their own little twist. Most of them are probably within 5-10% of each other, so I've got a decent idea of how this DNA behaves. And to me Hawas Ice is the better direction.

PERFORMANCE:

One thing I've noticed with pretty much every HAWAS impression I've owned... This DNA LOVES AGING. Seriously.

I remember owning Sheriff by Ideas, and after around six months that thing became an actual room filler.

People literally started recognizing me by the scent. I'd walk into a room and they'd be like "yeah I knew you were here because I could smell your perfume." It projected for around 2.5 hours easily, lasted 8+ hours on clothes, and sometimes I'd iron the same shirt the next day and could STILL smell it.

So from my experience, somewhere around the 2-4 month mark is where this DNA really starts waking up. Now coming to this Nioi bottle... Mine is only around a month old. So no I'm not expecting nuclear performance yet.

ON SKIN:

My skin absolutely destroys this DNA. Doesn't matter which Hawas impression it is, doesn't matter how aged it gets, my skin just eats it alive.

I'm getting around 4-5 hours max, and I don't blame Nioi for that because every Hawas style fragrance has done the exact same thing on my skin. Scent wise tho, my skin does something interesting. The opening is fresh obviously, but I can clearly pick up the apple.

Then after around an hour, plum and orange blossom become way more obvious. Those two notes get pushed forward on my skin for some reason. Kinda interesting because...

ON FABRIC:

It's almost the complete opposite. I can't really isolate individual notes anymore. Everything just blends into one scent. You don't smell it and think "that's bergamot" or "that's apple."

Performance on clothes is also much better. Right now I'm getting around 6-7 hours, which I'm perfectly happy with considering this bottle is barely a month old. Projection sits around an hour, sometimes closer to 1.5 hours if I'm indoors with AC.

First hour it's projecting around two arm lengths pretty comfortably. After that it settles into a nice scent bubble for another few hours. Anyone standing close to you, walking past you or hugging you is definitely gonna smell it. After around the 4-5 hour mark it becomes more of a skin scent and finally dies around that 6-7 hour mark on fabric.

Again... that's with a bottle that's still pretty fresh.

From my experience with this DNA, I'm fully expecting those numbers to improve after another couple months.

VALUE:

This one costs PKR 3500 for 180ml with free delivery, and I think that's a steal. Not because it's the best smelling fragrance ever made or anything like that, but because of what it's doing for you. This is one of those scents where I don't have to think. Literally works anywhere. Winter? Just spray a bit less and you're good. It's honestly one of the easiest dumb-reach fragrances I've owned.

Another thing I appreciate is that I don't feel guilty spraying it.

Some of the more expensive bottles in my collection... I genuinely have to think before using them because replacing them isn't exactly cheap. As a student that's always sitting somewhere in the back of my mind.

Even if you're doing 8 sprays every day, a 180ml bottle should still last you around 3-4 months. Maybe 2-3 months if you're absolutely drenching yourself lol. And that's actually a pretty big deal for students or anyone buying fragrances from their own pocket money. One thing I should mention tho... Every single performance number I mentioned above is based on 8 sprays.

Few Complaints:

In the opening upclose there's definitely a bit of an alcoholic harshness there. In the air? NO. Once it starts projecting it smells completely FINE. My other complaint is the atomizer.

Mine has started leaking a tiny bit around the neck. Nothing major, but yeah... it's worth mentioning because that's something the house can definitely improve. So it's not all sunshine and rainbows.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

Overall man... I just love this DNA. Look at the dent I've already put in it 😭

If someone came to me and said,

"I don't wanna build a collection. I just want ONE fragrance that smells good almost everywhere." This would genuinely be one of my recommendations.

I also wanna appreciate Nioi and Abid Bhai for what they're doing. Their catalogue has a bunch of niche inspirations that you honestly don't see from many Pakistani houses, and I really respect that. Do I still have complaints?Absolutely.Do I think there's room for improvement? 100% But I'd much rather support local houses that are actually trying to bring something different than see the same designers cloned over and over again.

SCORES:

These are obviously based on what I wanted this fragrance to do, not compared against every fragrance on the planet.

NIOI as a house: 6.5–7/10

Alright so im back with my complete experience with it after proper testing. This is an impression of Lorenzo Pazzaglia Black Sea.

This dna was one i was curious about because when searching for something that is as good performing as Megamare but more wearable and non-polarising this is the one I landed on, so if you want something that is super wearable and amazing for the heat and actually like the marine scent profiles this one is for u.

I really love the atomizer of this thing it's even better than the atomizer of Marwa for me 😭. The amount ot juice coming out from a full spray is like double when compared to normal ones.

On Skin:

no moisturizer underneath. and man the projection off the bat is really good, didnt need to keep sniffing my wrist up close i could smell it just standing normal with arm down. no synthetic headache feeling at all even smelling super close, it had this smooth edge to it which i wasnt expecting tbh. notes wise on skin i get fresh sweetness (later found out this is ylang ylang) and a bit salty, very marine, gave it a 10/10 off first impression.

After the 3 hrs mark it is still linear, same profile just weaker, could smell from like 1.5 inch away. by hour 5 it went full skin scent, had to put nose right on my wrist basically, but no change in the actual smell character at all through the whole thing.

heres the wild part tho, at around 11hrs mark i still STILL pick up something faint if i shoved my nose into my skin. like that's insane longevity for one spray no moisturizer on what SOME people call a "weak summer marine."

THE ACTUAL DNA (did some digging):

top is bergamot, myrtle, salt, ozonic/watery notes. heart is orange blossom, ylang ylang, sea notes, salt. base is seaweed/algae, white musk, patchouli, oakmoss, ambergris. so its NOT some flat one note aquatic like i first thought on skin, its a proper 3 act structure. turns out my skin chemistry (breaks down citrus/fresh stuff fast, amplifies musky notes) was basically eating the harsh ozonic opening almost instantly and jumping me straight to the sweeter heart notes. which is why skin felt "smooth and sweet" from minute one instead of harsh. And on skin the Ylang ylang sweetness was a bit more enhanced, but

ON Fabric:

completely different experience and this is where it got interesting. opening is dark, raw, actual harsh marine, zero sweetness, proper bergamot presence too. but even tho it was "harsh" it wasnt nose burning or cough inducing, just had this rougher edge that skin never showed me. smooth despite being harsh if that makes sense.

Up close only. in the air? no.

first 2 hours i was getting CONSTANT whiffs, like people around me couldve smelled it easy. 5 hrs in, still could smell it waving the shirt at arm's length even with my nose fully fatigued from smelling it all day.

2 hrs in the ylang ylang sweetness finally showed up (matches what reviewers say about the timeline actually) but fabric was holding onto the marine/salty side stronger than skin did. Projection gets dropped noticeably around at this point tho, not skin scent yet but definitely toned down. The ylang ylang sweetness is like this subtle smoothing out scent, please do not mistake it for any kind of other gourmandy or resinious sweetness.

Lasts more than 9 hrs on clothes easy.

one thing worth flagging, 4 sprays are already toeing the line of too much for me personally. if id done one more spray i think itd have tipped into headache territory. so if ur trying this, 3 sprays seems like the sweet spot for max projection without going overboard.

This is such a great scent profile that can be used as a signature and even in winters man, I can definitely pull this off with less sprays. I'm simply in love.

on the whole "polarizing/harsh/rotten seaweed" reputation: so this is the part i actually want to push back on hardest. ive read the reviews, ive seen ppl call it aggressive, chemical smelling, some ppl straight up hated the opening. and yeah the OG apparently CAN come off harsh/piercing on certain skin types, thats a real documented thing not just internet drama. but in my testing, across skin AND fabric, across 2 different sprays amounts, and with a second nose entirely independent of me, we never once hit that "off/rotten/synthetic" wall. it stayed dark and salty and dramatic sure, but always smooth, never crossed into headache or nauseating territory even pushing close to what shouldve been too much.

now to be fair to myself here, i havent smelled the actual OG side by side so i cant sit here and claim my impression definitely "fixed" something the original struggles with, that wouldnt be a fair claim without a direct control test. but based on how consistently smooth this thing tested for me across every single trial, im fairly confident this impression is doing something right with whatever aroma molecules theyre using for that ozonic/salt accord.

LAYERING:

also been running this with Hawas Ice and its become an actual new signature combo for me for summer. hawas ice gives the bright clean top, black sea fills in the dark salty depth + the longevity that invictus style scents usually lack solo. genuinely one of the better combos ive stumbled into. Two of my fvrt together you can only imagine how much I'm gonna wear this 😝

WHO'S THIS FOR?

if ur the type who wants an easy, bright, designer style aquatic (adg, light blue, cool water type deal) this is probably NOT gonna click for you and youll be in the "smells weird" camp. but if u actually like a marine scent with some grit and drama to it and dont mind an opening thats a bit rougher before it settles, this is genuinely one of the better executions of that profile ive tried in impression form.

Prime - Office for men impression

So a bit of backstory before I get into the actual scent. I was hunting for something that performs well specifically in outdoor summer heat, did some digging, and narrowed it down to three options: Bvlgari Tygar, Nishane Hacivat, and Office For Men. I've been in my whole "testing Pakistani impression houses" phase for a while now, and Manaal was on my radar but I kept putting them off honestly, their catalogue just never impressed me enough to pull the trigger.

This time I was buying for my brother since he's out working most of the day and needed something that could actually hold up in the heat with decent lasting power. Manaal didn't have Hacivat in their lineup so I went with Tygar instead... except right when I placed the order, Tygar went out of stock. So I ended up with my last choice by default, Office For Men.

Since it was my first order with them, I messaged and asked if they offered testers of one of their in house blends since those had the most reviews and I wanted to see what they can actually do on their own, not just impressions. They said only one complimentary tester per bottle, fair enough, I said sure.

They ended up sending me three 5ml testers anyway. Two in house blends, King and Summer Tonic, plus an impression of Issey Miyake L'Sel D'Issey called Sea and Stone.

On KING and SUMMER TONIC first:

Ngl my first reaction on both was "what is this." Straight up harsh chemicals in the first 10 minutes, like genuinely bad. I figured maybe it was heat exposure during transit messing with them, so I reached out to the team and they told me to let them sit for 3-4 more days. Mind you it had already been a week by that point. Gave it another week on top of that just to be safe.

Summer Tonic did improve, no more chemical blast in the opening, but the edges are still synthetic and just feel low quality, which honestly seems to be a recurring issue with a lot of these houses. King improved a bit too, opening edges smoothed out, but it's still chemically underneath. Wouldn't wear either of them. Both of these smell like white Lux with summer tonic being the more wearable and a bit sweeter.

Sea and Stone was easily the best of the three, quality wise. Not what this review is about, but worth mentioning since it was a pleasant surprise. I love this one. Although the performance on this is not great.

PACKAGING:

Minimalistic white boxes with textured engraving on the sides, genuinely liked this, definitely a plus in my book. Bottle is pretty standard with a plastic cap, atomizer has a decent amount of push and hasn't leaked yet (we'll see how it holds up after a month, that's usually when these start acting up).

The actual scent, Office For Men DNA:

Not really a fan of the base DNA here if I'm honest. Every OFM impression I've tried has that same synthetic ambroxan and harsh citrus blast on opening that genuinely makes me cough, and Prime is no exception. If I spray it 30 minutes before actually heading out, it's tolerable. Haven't tried the OG so I can't compare directly, but this one performs, that much I can say for sure.

Performance indoors (AC environment):

5 sprays for testing. First hour is a straight up room filler, easily. After that it dips a bit but stays strong, people could smell it from 3-4 arms length up to the 2.5 hour mark. What actually impressed me is that from 2.5 hrs to about 4-5 hrs, it's still catchable at arm's length if you're not nose blind to it. After 5 hours it settles into that in between zone, not quite a skin scent but not projecting like before either. By 6 hours it's basically a skin scent and lasted around 9-10 hours total in AC.

Performance outdoors (Quetta heat, 35-40°C):

Same 5 sprays. Went to a gathering, half indoor half outdoor, traveled there and back on a bike. Smelled it strong for a solid 1.5-2 hours, then catching whiffs up until hour 4 (actually got a compliment at that mark, so that's a win). Turned into a skin scent after I got home, lasted about 6 hours total for the whole outing.

This was all pre maceration too, so take that into account.

Who's this for:

Honestly, people who haven't experienced better quality fragrances yet. The roughness in this one is real and noticeable. Best suited for office guys or students who don't want to spend a ton of money but still want something loud, attention grabbing, and functional in the heat.

Would I wear it often? No.

Do I appreciate the scent profile? Absolutely.

Would I layer it with something else? Yeah, definitely open to that.
