The devs are not beating the allegations that they hate Emma
Not only did they butcher this Hellfire Gala look of hers and turned it into the Queen of Diamonds abomination skin, but they straight up ripped off her Gala dance moment with Cyclops and turned it into a Jean x Scott emote instead.
I did my first Hard clear on Scarlet Witch and it was a no sweat.
But I just did a couple of runs with Thor and his upgrades are so effing trash and counter intuitive. The hammer throw wastes your Thorforce and they clearly want you to focus heavily on that and using the Ult in early stages when using the ult is almost certain to get you killed by the giant robots as soon as you land and are left vulnerable.
Whatever happened to his right click Ultimate Storm upgrades, I did 5 tries and didn't even a single hint of it? Also no dash upgrades?
Actually so pissed off how trash he feels and how counterintuitive he is to how Thor normally plays in this game.
This has been one of my biggest wishes to come to the game - a VFX option that gives Emma the telepathic crown effect when she's using her primary fire.
But the big catch is that I don't want this to be only linked to one skin (like how legendary VFX are skin-specific) I really want this to be a purchasable cosmetic that you can use on all skins once you buy it.
Please NE, make it happen, you can charge me whatever you wish, just let me use it on all her costumes.
First of all I gotta say I never play DPS, I'm a tank player (Emma and Thor mains), but I just picked up Storm recently and she's infinitely more fun now with the new team ups than she was when I tried her before.
Just bought her summer skin and went to QP to practice her and did surprisingly well, won the majority of my matches and I'm finally having fun with her.
At first I thought the Thor team up was better because it's easier for me to aim with hitscan primary, but I switched to Jeff in the last few matches and the healing rain really helps when you're dealing with Spiderman or when you are forced into any 1V1.
The healing rain + thunder mode E ability is such a good combo when under pressure.
Which team ups do you prefer and in which scenario? And also which mode do you mostly use, the thunder or the wind?
I find that I'm only in the wind mode when I need to quickly return from spawn?
Yo I'm mentally checking out until September, I was so hoping the rumored Helfire Club classic skin would come this month along with Jean's Black Queen that's already been leaked.
It's kinda crazy to me that Jean is getting 2 Helfire Gala skins this year while Emma who is the host only got 1 (free and unfinished one, mind you) and some of the other Xmen like Storm don't even have one.

It's crazy how she instantly feels and looks so much more like THE Emma Frost from the comics with these changes, power fantasy has finally been fulfilled, I finally feel that this character IS Emma.
NetEase can we please take notes and go in this direction. No overdesigning, no tacky crystals and accesories all over, no outlandish clown hairstyles. Just clean, fierce, white and elegant. And her body proportions actually look good af when the fit is done right.
If this is an actual mod I NEED to know where I can get it, it pretty much saves the skin.

So if you use the Gambit team up, this is what your screen will look at at all times.
On top of her chronovium effects that were already out of character for Rogue, she now has a Dragon Ball looking flame around her and all of her punches have purple blasts.
To what end with all this visual clutter, not only is it disorienting, but it kills the power fantasy, I don't want Rogue having purple punches that emmit radial blasts, that's not what her fighting looks like in the source material, purple is not even a color you can associate with her, why are we turning her into Gambit completely?
As a comic book fan first, I can't be the only one who is bothered by how much these new team ups change a character's visual identity, 50% of their whole kit is just another random character's power.
NetEase can we please have the option to turn off or at least tone down these visual effects from the team ups?
To put it short, Lara's animations and movement looks pretty terrible and is the biggest concern for me. She feels weightless and moves so stiff and awkwardly, there's still no confidence and personality to her movements, she just moves like a complete NPC with a Lara Croft skin slapped onto it. There's just something so unathletic and robotic about how she walks and interacts with the environment and the physics behind her movement.
This is the exact problem I had with Survivor trilogy and her animations there, so before you say "it's just a demo, it isn't finished", remind yourselves that they released the final product in this state 3 times in the past and I'm seeing the same patterns here that concern me that this isn't getting fixed.
I can still see the poor physics and floatines in her movement that have been recycled from Survivor games and she still hunches and changes her direction weirdly and too harshly, these were all things I hoped would not be back in the next game.
And I noticed that you can still change your direction mid jump, like she has levitating powers, someone at Crystal Dynamic really needs to take a few classes in physics.
The animations just feel so amateur and not grand or intricate enough for a standalone Tomb Raider game. She moves and feels like a Fortnite skin instead of the main character in her own standalone game, this is the best way I can describe it. I really hope that talking more about it will get devs to re-evaluate and put some more effort into her animations.
Lara with a toggleable poncho would go super hard. Make her sunglasses toggleable too. Just more small customization options like this would do a long way.
It's clear that she'll also have slightly different hairstyles in different outfits, I would also love for those to not be locked to only those outfits but interchangeable
I think this might be my best Wanda ult in ranked without using Strange portal, I rarely use her in ranked though
In the midst of the whole discourse regarding the damn dinosaur, all I keep thinking is - he's a welcome addition because he looks like he'll be free beam charge for Emma lol.
But it does make me wonder if the animation for Emma grabbing him is gonna look awkward due to his size and well...anatomy, or if they give him some sort of CC immunity.
Also if he has like 1000 HP, Emma's crystal would play interesting into that, it will be harder to crush it but will also deal huge damage when it is.
Ya'll remember how Fantastic 4 Future Foundation skins came with an emote that changed their uniform color upon use? Why was that system abandoned instead of explored further.
I imagine this skin coming to the game with an emote where Emma strikes a c*nty pose while taking off her sunglasses and when you use it again, she does the same but now puts the sunglasses back on and they stay on like that during gameplay until you change it back.
And for gods sake pls don't butcher and overdesign this skin, just translate it 1:1 from comics and you can't mess up. Some more creativity and simple customization would go a long way
I hope you know what I mean: when you make a trail in the ult and you go over the same spot twice, does it stack and double the healing in that spot or not?
I swear I saw someone say that it doesn't stack anymore (used to?), but I've seen streamers who still double cross the same line instead of spreading out as much as possible and now I'm not sure who's in the wrong
I just unboxed and started testing my new VXE Mad R mouse and I'm genuinely shocked at what I have bought.
The mouse works fine when connected via cable, but when used with the 8K dongle it came with, it just sleeps and freezes constantly and is completely unusable. I just tested it in a game and it won't even allow me to move the cursor past a certain point to the left, it just freezes and stops there as if I'm not even moving the mouse and can be very choppy even when making smaller mouse swipes in any direction.
I have tried using every single USB port that my PC has, front and back and the issue still persists. My polling rate in the ATK HUB is set to 1k, DPI 800. The firmware is updated to the latest version (3.0).
I have an old cheap Hama wireless mouse that works just fine, so I don't see how this can be the issue with the connection/PC, must be with the 8K dongle that came with Mad R itself. I have also tried to position it it different spots including extremely close to my mouse and nothing changes.
Does anyone have any other suggestions I can try before I request a refund?

Please just listen to the community one last time and add back a tint of color and life back into Emma's hair, idk why it's gotta be either piss yellow or complete dead grey, like can we please find some balance in between. You don't have to go from from 100% to 0%, trust.
I promise it will make the design pop so much more, look at my edit and how much better her face looks already when her hair isn't completely dead, desaturated and completely blended with the color of her clothes. It almost looks like a filter/glitch where all the colors went dull. Her hair shouldn't be like Storm and Black Cat's, she's blonde, not grey.
NE I'm offering you free color theory consultations at this point cause I can't watch you struggle this much with basic design elements.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how perfect her body proportions looked in this skin. They hit the nail on the head with balancing tanky Emma with comic accurate Emma on this one and then they progressively got worse and worse with every skin, making her look more and more outlandish. Legit if you go into skin selection screen and keep clicking between this and her more recent skins and compare the differences, it's almost like a completely different character model.
Her face is also the best it's ever looked in this skin, the colors and textures on her face match so well, she looks radiant.
The only downsides are ofc the hair and the fact that this design barely resembles the comic book look it's inspired by (Phoenix 5) and I'm still bummed out that they didn't just do a 1:1 replica from the comics cause that design is majestic, but if I judge this as an original design, even with it's flaws, this is still Emma's best skin by far.
Exploring the potential this skin could have had if they just didn't fumble the cape so much and took more than 10 minutest to design it.
The comic accurate edit on the first page would have been a 10/10 but I know a lot of people will make excuses for the devs saying it would be a lot of work to animate that cape (cause God forbid we expect them to put in effort into making a nice free skin once a year as a thank you for funding this game on skin purchases alone aka the very thing they're half-assing right now, how ironic), but I made a few different version which aren't as good, but still much better than what we actually got.
I think the biggest issue with this design is how they attached the cape to her neck, so when you're playing her all you see is this solid block of fabric completely obstructing your view of the character, it's 80% bathroom towel and 20% Emma.
Also the whole design is very top-heavy and bringing the cape to the lower half instead of up around the neck would balance the overall look. This corset was meant to be worn with bare shoulders and it's crucial to the design, look at how much more elegant the outfit is with her back exposed and the X cut out visible and they just decided to hide their work with that ugly towel, I think their work on the corset itself is really nice.
Ultimately, if they really can't take an extra week to rework the cape, just let us have the option to completely remove it (along with the metal necklace).
