Turn buckle for tension adjuster on aluminum canopy on side of home?

Aluminum canopy is 6’x3’ rectangular shape. Weighs 60lbs.
I’m planning to use x6 lags screws (1/2” x8” lengths) to drill into 2x6 wood beam on side of home.
And since I can’t use angle brackets on both ends of canopy (no studs are there at the exact 6’ mark), I’m planning to use a tension cable design holding canopy from the top and attaching to the wall of the house. (The cable would be making a 45 degree angle).
It’s here where I’m thinking of adding a turnbuckle (1/2”) turn buckle made of stainless steel -rated for 1500 lbs.

Can I use the turn buckle even though their ad says “no to be used for over head lifting”….if I’m easily within the 1500 lb. Limit, what’s the deal? Or is it just a way for the company to cover themselves?

Any help is appreciated.

Best way to attach aluminum t6061 square tubing style awning to top of front door entrance wood beam?

Long story short , I’m trying to make a modern style awning like the one shown in 3rd pic, it’s from Home Depot.

I’m using T6061 aluminum (6’x3’) 1/8” thickness.
Total weight after finalizing-35lbs.

What would be the best way to “mount/attach” to wood beam shown in 2nd pic circled in red.

The first pic shows the aluminum rectangle with the side circled in red that will attach to beam.

Just want the most secure method and if possible not compromise the aluminum.

Any help is appreciated thanks

304 stainless steel for bollard fabrication

For context- I live in Southern California.
I’m interested in buying bollards for driveway protection.

The seller offered them in 304 stainless steel.

I live 30 miles inland from the coastline, so salt shouldn’t be a problem.
But in regards to 304 stainless, should this be a viable option for long term in my situation?

I’m waiting on there response if they offer 316 stainless.

If they don’t offer 316, how can I maintain 304 stainless bollards if they will always be outdoors?.

These are the retractable version so when there not in use, they go into the ground.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

My kitchen cabinets are European style frameless cabinets.
In white color.
The handles will be gold color but I’m really really liking the bit oversized handles. I personally don’t see them as too huge.

Half kitchen cabinets are 30” wide and other half are 24” wide.

I think it adds a very unique look. Wrong to place that big of a handle ?

Currently redoing kitchen,
New frameless cabinets (white)
Gold hardware and faucet
Black countertop.

But can’t decide on all subway tile (black) or (white?).

What could be pros and cons of each.

Need some help here.

Range and vent hood + fridge/farmhouse sink and dishwasher are all stainless steel.

Kitchen sink faucet is gold as well as all cabinet handles.

One important note- the back splash will be running up to the ceiling behind the vent hood.
