All this for Bill Williamson

I am doing a replay of RDR1 and I have been thinking. It is crazy how much effort and struggle John went through just to kill Bill. Like, come on, it's freaking Bill. You know, the big moron.

But seriously, then I started thinking. The creators of these games really thought all of this out. The some of the points of RDR1 are to showcase the futility of running from the past, the brutality of the frontier and the people in it, and above all, that the government cannot be trusted. The government doesn't value people. For us, as the player going through this game, Bill feels so big and important. But if he were so important, why do they only send John after him? Why do they send John and not someone who actually works for them. The truth is that while for John's world hunting Bill means everything, because it is the difference between keeping his family and losing them, Bill is actually just small potatoes. The government is willing to torture John just to spare some light resources.

When they made the second game, they made that clear. Bill was never a big deal. He was not even Dutch's third-hand-man, let alone his second. He's just another lost, foolish killer who has no real plan and no future. He's almost nothing. But even though he's almost nothing, they send John after him and in the process up-end his peaceful life.

Hot Take: I think Nikki was in love with bear, like a lot

I noticed that in this scene she tells him that she loves him so so so so so so so so much and that really got me thinking. Maybe Nikki was in love with Bear for like the entire movie. What do y'all think?

All secrets must pass through the camp

Rewatching for the first time in decades. This show is very clever. I love how Hogan and Klink complement each other. Hogan is clever enough to run the operation but it's especially effective under the incompetent Klink. What cracks me up is that most episodes have some advanced technology (rockets, heavy water, etc.) Which must pass through this specific camp. It's funny. The whole show is so funny.

Holocaust Movie

Warning this is a brutal scene I remember.

It is from a show or movie. It depicts a woman who is standing in a line of other people holding a child in her arms. I remember the child is not a baby, but younger than eight or so years old. A nazi walks up to her and shoots the child in the head while it's in her arms. She drops the child in shock and then he shoots her.

I can't place this movie. Any help is appreciated.
