Basically, the lowest 10% of the screen does not respond. And that’s where most of the functions are - joining wifi networks, camera shutter, changing tabs within apps.

Somehow I was able to join a network within Safari but I still can’t figure out a way to take photos in the camera app. Tried volume buttons, EarPods mic remote but turns out those came only after iOS 5 - nothing for 3.1.3.

Any ideas what I can do to make the camera shutter button work?
