I just saw the movie. Some hot thoughts.

This movie is like a brisket: slow cooking, satisfactory result. Holy crap! I was at the edge of my seat in the last 20 or 30 minutes of the movie. As English is not my native language, I need to watch it again with subs to understand what the distorted voices were saying and to have an even clearer Idea about Simon's past.

First slow burn movie I watch and it was worth it the time.

Just finished the game a few mins ago.

Good Gosh! This game is a hidden gem. I don't get why people don't talk about it more on the mainstream spectrum. It deserves that place. I had such a lot of fun. The fights, the constant exposition to new mechanics. The original boss battles. THE SOUNDTRACK! I have Whirring stuck in my head now. What a game. I really see myself playing it again.

Multiple Inputs vs Tube Age: what do you prioritize on your main set?

Not sure if this has been asked a lot, but I wanted to bring it.

Would you prioritize having a young composite-only tube or would you have an older multi-inputs TV?

Sony KV-21FV300 settings for tube preservation.

Hi guys. Remember the Sony KV-21FV300 I showed on a previous post? These days I've been tweaking and finding the right settings to preserve this tube as much as I can. These are some settings I changed on service menu:

RDRV: 37

GDRV: 90

BDRV: 100

RCUT: 50

GCUT: 60

BCUT: 145

SCON: 18

SHUE: 13

SCOL: 17

SBRT: 35

And in the picture, there are some settings I made on normal menu.

I'd like to know what and how much to move to have this TV for a very long time. Also, if the contrast/brightness/sharpness settings are good enough or if I am getting too much of them and my tube might be affected. Thanks in advance, and sorry for the basic question. I'm kinda novice with this still.

I think I found the one...

Long text.

It's really hard to find a CRT with Composite, S-Video and Component inputs in good shape in my city: I've been on a tireless search for more than six months since I started in this noble hobby and everytime It was Composite only or Component, but in bad shape.

Well, it seems that all that time and money spent on trial and error and learning has paid off this week: my TV tech got this TV from another client, changed the chasis/board with one replacement part he had from another TV and he showed it to me. Holy...I was really surprised to see a TV with those inputs and in good shape.

This KV-21FV300 came with a very distorted geometry, but I worked on it for three days dealing options on service menu and tweaking the Deflection Yoke. Finally, today I finished setting it up and here It is.

I know there are better ones, but trust me: this is really hard to find here where I live...and It makes me Happy I finally have a TV like the ones you guys usually show here (and in such good shape).

That being said, I'd like to know what should I keep in mind to preserve this TV for as much as it lives. Thanks in advance for reading and for your advice.

People won't understand how hurtful is for a lonely person to propose a plan and no one follows it up. It's a new dimension of rejection.

That's it. That's the fact. Imagine being an introvert, having no friends for a very long time and trying to do so again by belonging to a group (sports, music, gym, activities). Then you see some people frequently and have the courage to propose them a plan together (an afternoon playing games, go to a cafe, movies, etc), and no one follows up the idea. I think they have no idea how painful that is for somebody who had very little social activity to be (indirectly) rejected.

I don't even try to go outside anymore because I've faced the same outcome a lot of times.

My new baby just arrived home: any games you would recommend to this 3DS novice?

After a sour experience with a scammer, I finally got my New N3DS today. This is a beast, just played Ocarina of Time for a moment and the 3D is awesome. Need to get used to it tho.

What games are a must play and are a unique experience on this console? I'll apareciste your recomendations.

Are these games unplayable on DSi's Twilight Menú?

I'm getting this Data Abort error every time I open these two games:

- Mario VS Donkey Kong: Mini Land Mayhem (play a level and once I finish it, I get this error)

- Brain Age Express - Arts and Letters (shows the intro and inmediately the error appears)

Why does this happen? Is there anything I can do to fix this error?

Thanks in advance.

Edit: I forgot to tell you that this is a DSi.

You after going through the experimental pragmatics section:

Even if you know the ending, this part explains a lot of things and makes you even more compassionate of Diana. I'm enjoying this game a lot.

Follow Up on DK Jungle Climber: I beat the main Game.

Holy bananas. It's been a while since a Game made me feel that pissed off. This has been one of the hardest plattformers I've ever played.

King K. Rool's first phase gets to unfair levels imo, but after 100+ attempts, I could get to phase 2 and despite having more aggressive attacks in that one, It felt more balanced.

Anyway, I didn't know DK Games were that hard, but at the same time so satisfying to beat. Planning to check what will be my Next DK game.

My first DS: found her beaten to hell, but still delivering.

I wanted to have one of these for a very long time, so I bought this DSi a couple of months ago. It was really used and abused: the DSi back logo isn't even there no more and the L/R buttons as well as the cartridge reader were busted. Went to a Game store right after and asked to change the screens and the other components. Now, it's delivering!

I decided to not change the housing shell because DSi shells are not that good according to the research I made, and because I wanted to remember how much this one has been through and still rocking on.

Picture 4 is before and picture 5 is after. You can't see it but there were some scratches here and there. Sympthoms of an aged screen.

By the way, I would like to ask. Where can I buy the plastic cover on both screens? That was the only thing we could not change since the provider of the store did not have one.

Anyway, I wanted to express how much I LOVE this device. Has helped me a lot on reducing phone/socials time. DK Jungle Climber is an incredible Game, too.
