Shot the beretta 1301 mod 2 for the first time. Barrel was perfectly smooth prior to shooting 60 slugs...truball 1600 and 1300fps.
This is after cleaning with mops. Then I used a bronze brush after I noticed the barrel appeared contaminated.
What's the deal? This seems absurd after just 60rds.
Owned it a while. Just got around to shooting it for the 1st time. Primary Arms SLX worked great for it. Have 10 mags and shot 250rds of cci mini mag and AR tactical. Zero problems. Super easy to get tight groups. Already have a CMC 2.5lb trigger but wanted to make sure it ran okay with stock trigger.
Only negative is the bolt seems a bit sticky.
Otherwise super pleasant to shoot and easy to be accurate. 💪

Brand new 1301 tactical. I did do a field breakdown and cleaned and lubed slightly when I got it. Added the aridus imperium which I appreciated after the first 10rds...she gets hot.
Ran 50rds of Federal truball 1600fps slugs. Then 10rds of the low power 1300fps truball slugs.
I got 5 or 6 failures to eject. I had to manually clear the rounds. The last round of a group of 5 was sitting in the lifter. It was a spent shell. 🤔
It seemed to get better towards the last rounds.
I decided to run the 10rds of 1300fps truball expecting it to fail to eject. Nope. Two groups of 5rds...rapid fire...all cycled and ejected perfectly.
So I'm not confident enough to grab this in a real situation yet.
I'm hoping it was break in issues and not a chronic problem.
I'll break her down and do a thorough inspection, cleaning and lube. What should I look at regarding the extraction and ejection?
Aside from the issues...it was easy to be accurate. The Landon tactical fastback and front sight worked perfectly without adjustment.
I have the kickeez pad. Did 60 slugs in appx 35min. Not bad at all once I learned what to expect.
What do you guys think? I can only shoot slugs around here. Need to drive a long ways to be able to shoot anything buck slugs. I'll pick up another 25rds of high powered slugs and run her again after the cleaning. Will report back.
Anyone here go from an older nemo dagger to the X dome? Going to do a solo hike mid October in the Grayson highland Mt Rogers area of SW VA. Looking to shave weight from the daggers setup. Seems like a solid choice...just looking for anyone who specifically went from a Nemo dagger to the X dome? I have the 2020 Dagger...not the OSMO BTW.
Like many others I find the grip texture annoying. I have talon grips on other guns and they work really well. But due to the raised bumps on the grip it doesn't seem like the talon grips would stick on very well. What's the verdict on add on grips to the p10 series?
Probably picking the Shield X up to replace my Hellcat soon. Looking for a solid strong side IWB holster.
This works great to get the light closer to the muzzle to eliminate muzzle shadow.
Go back and forth which I like. Also, pics on the phone may not match with real life. What's your preference? Black, tungsten gray or coyote brown?
Can anyone suggest one K suppressor that would work well on both my 16in DI and 16in SPR? Does the SPR do well with cans?
The aluminum handguard really makes a huge difference in overall feel of the shotgun. The slight bit of extra weight feels good to me as well. Man. They really nailed that texture! From pics it appears it would be more aggressive but it's super grippy without being aggressive at all. Everything nested well on the Imperium. The nordic mag tube and clamp are very good quality as well. Next up is the remote switch for the light.
Magpul flipping us the bird like many others. More to come I'm sure.
Have a 1301 with imperium handguard. Putting a Surefire 340DFT Pro on it. On my AR15s I use the surefire ds00 tailcap with sr07 switch. There are options like the Unity gas cap and modlight mod button and a new surefire CSM07 remote. Read a review from a 1301 owner stating he had to dremel down screws on the csm07 remote. So, what are you guys running on the 1301 with Imperium? I could keep it consistent and run another sr07 with a picrail adapter. 🤔
I have a few lights but the options are so many now I figured I'd ask you guys what to get. I've had the ThruNite T1 and T1 Pro a while and they've been solid as EDC lights. Just looking to upgrade for the hell of it. Also have a ThruNite Catapult Mini 2 and Olight Seeker 2. Want something better than the T1 Pro but not quite as large as the Olight Seeker 2 Pro. If there's something really solid that is 200g it may be doable...but a bit lighter is preferable. Was looking at the Fenix EDC 35 but read many people had bad units not charging etc. What's the go to solid EDC "tactical" lights?

Description: Beretta 1301 with Magpul SGA stock, ESSTAC shotgun card, Surefire 340DFT, Holosun 507COMP on LTT Fastback mount and LTT Duty front sight.
Haven't shot with it yet but think I'll be very pleased with this setup. Have the 507COMP on for now with intention of getting the 507COMP MAX when it's released.
Installation was pretty easy as they have videos on YouTube for the install instructions.
The iron sights are quite natural in appearance based on pistol sights. Also saw they are zero'd for federal truball which is what I'm stocked up on.
Anyone rocking the LTT LTT Fastback Optic Mount and Super Duty front sight? Good to go?
Have a SGA on my 590 and now the 1301 matches. For me, the grip puts my finger in a much better position to reach the trigger as well as feeling a bit better in the shoulder. I have a couple Kick-EZZ recoil pads coming...people seem to like them.
Install isn't bad. Having a vice is helpful. There are a couple solid videos on YouTube showing step by step.
Tools used: Phillips screwdriver, pliars, 7mm wrench, provided Allen wrench, 13mm deep socket with extension.
Aridus Industries shipped the combo out the 1st business day after I ordered it. Had it two days later. Buying the combo was a nice convenience and saved a few bucks.
I stole the surefire from the 590 since the 1301 is my new hotness. I do like the Viper on the 590 and leaning towards getting the Viper green multi reticle for the 1301.
The SGA comes with spacers to extend the length of pull if required. I'm a fan.
Have about 50 PMAGS but no metal mags. Just fixed that. Gunmagwarehouse has Duramags on sale. Picked up some aluminum gray mags and some black stainless steel 30s and 20s. Winding down the ban stock up.
