Development is very much alive, and V0.4 is shaping up to be one of HoloMapper's biggest updates yet, with major new features, rendering upgrades, UI improvements, and a long list of smaller additions.
We've hired a couple of new underpaid monkeys to help make HoloMapper faster, more stable, better looking, and much more feature-rich. 🐒🐒
Planned release: September 14 (give or take a few days)
Everything above is currently in development, so the final V0.4 feature list may change. Some features may be completed sooner, while others may need a little more time and move into a later update.
Thank you to everyone using HoloMapper, reporting bugs, suggesting features, and following its development.
We appreciate the patience and the continued interest in HoloMapper! ❤️
We cookin something big for HoloMapper V0.4! I think ya'll will like it!
Coming September!
Most people are getting the Frame for gaming.
But how about tools and utilities?
What kind of Steam Frame dedicated non-game programs would you like to see released for the Steam Frame?
Hey everyone, sorry for the lack of updates, had a family emergency.
While I was away this month, the team has been working on some new features, including a timeline for layers, but still early progress. I am hoping to get v0.4 out early-mid August.
Is anyone running into any bugs in v0.3 that we should address before that?
I bought WinRAR. ft. HoloMapper Projection Mapping
Somewhere out there, a WinRAR developer is eating lunch because of me.
For anyone who does Projection Mapping for fun or commercially...
What would you say the most important features are in a Projection Mapping software?
This weeks update will be delayed for a few days.
The upcoming update will include Spout and NDI input/output.
During extensive testing, I noticed that some video types with certain encodings can cause major issues with playback. So we are trying to change HoloMappers video encoder to a proprietary encoder.
Due to this migration attempt, the V0.3 update will be delayed until middle of next week.
Sorry for any inconvenience!
Basic process rundown,

- take picture of the card
- upload it, and duplicate it a few times (one layer for each color)
- chromakey the color, then invert it to only show that color
- repeat for each layer
- apply animations and colors to each
