Outfitter II fail

Tried to start my Quadra-Fire Outfitter II after the summer (kept dessicants inside). It dropped a couple handfuls of pellets, then stopped. I waited and waited. Any ideas what the problem is?

Not receiving written results regarding tenant screening

We hired a broker to find us a tenant. They did, and they told us the results of the screening but have not forwarded the results in writing. Are they obliged to?

Paint door red?

I can't decide whether to paint this door red or not. (The Blueskin will be covered up soon.) Let's see what you guys say.

Tenant pays for washer/dryer repairs?

I just came across this concept here on Reddit. Do any of you do this? Especially landlords in Quebec, where it doesn't sound like part of our culture?

About advertising

We own a duplex in the country (Western Quebec) and live in one of the two flats. Marketplace got us several inquiries at first (end of June) but that's petered out. We've advertised on Kijiji, Craigslist and the local paper. We're only 35 km from Gatineau/Ottawa.

Any suggestions?

What kind of tool?

I need to remove this flooring and the four (!) subfloors beneath it. At the bottom is concrete.

I'd like to cut along the wall there to make it easier to pry up the waterlogged subfloors. It was recommended to use an oscillating tool (which I would have to buy). I had been imagining using a wood disc on the grinder I have, but they look pretty scary. While I'm experienced with many power tools, not so much with the grinder.

Any suggestions?

What kind of anode rod?

I have a three-year old electric water heater:

- 60 gallon, separate hole for rod

- water from a drilled well, white residue on coffee maker

- low clearance between top of heater and ceiling

I've been trying to find a flexible anode rod to fit in my confined space; I might have to order one online. A plumber I stopped in the local hardware store (who knows the area) recommended the kind you plug in. He claimed they're only a little more expensive, but I'm finding them costing over $220.

Thoughts?

Extra amperage pops GFCI

In my rental, I have a kitchen GFCI with one other outlet on the load end. Tenant moved out last week, and when I used a Mouse sander at the load end, the GFCI popped. After resetting, I tested the outlet in question with a tester and it lit up correctly. I tried the Mouse again, and pop! What could cause the extra load to do that? Nothing was drawing current directly from the GFCI. It's a new GFCI as of a few months ago, but I suppose it could be it.

Note: I don't think this is relevant, but I'll mention it anyways: the outlet in question has two circuits feeding it: one from the GFCI, and a different one. Yes, I broke the link on the receptacle a long time ago, and they share a common neutral and ground.

About ebike locks

What lock is strong and easy to get on and off an E-Bike? For country towns, not the city. So super duper locks not necessary.

Lurches then stops

Mine is an older version of electric moped, not a PR.

Sometimes is goes fine, other times it doesn't: it just lurches forward then stops. If it helps, the drive wheel rotates if not touching the ground and the alarm doesn't work.
