Honest opinions on the Polynesian Cultural Center?

Part of the reason I'm considering it is that we'll be traveling with an 80-year-old family member, and it seems like an easy, full-day activity.

Researching the Polynesian Cultural Center for an upcoming trip, and I've noticed opinions seem incredibly divided.

  1. Some strongly discourage visiting because of its ties to the LDS Mormon Church
  2. Others (including some locals) say the criticism is overstated bc the PCC provides jobs, supports many BYU–Hawaiʻi students, and contributes to the local economy

For those of you who live in Hawaiʻi or HAVE VISITED the PCC, what's your opinion? Was it a good time, worth it?

If you chose not to go, what did you do instead that worked well for an older traveler?

Note: We are staying for a week in Waikiki. We will also be visiting Bishop Museum and ʻIolani Palace. Looking at PCC for the luau and the show, family doesn't drink so the missing alcohol isn't an issue...

Convince me to visit—or skip—the PCC. Thanks!

Tyler's new "Jumpsuit" jacket. Does it give anyone else the heebie-jeebies?

Major kudos to their stylist becuase the boys always look SO GOOD. She's heaven sent frfr. But the new jacket for Jumpsuit just unsettles me lol not sure why 😭😭😭 It's cool nontheless... I guess. Anyone?

Did you know that Ohio stadium show mostly consists of aluminum bleachers with no backing. This is very pertinent information for some, just letting you know.

I’ve seen this list all over Reddit but no Tyler :/ What do you think? Does he deserve a spot??

Clearly there’s not a ton of overlap between Twenty One Pilots fans and NYT readers…….

I’ve been seeing the list posted all over different music subreddits, so I figured I’d bring it here.

Obviously we don’t need a list to tell us how talented he is, but considering he’s the sole songwriter and TØP is one of the biggest bands in the world, I would’ve expected him to at least crack the Top 100.

Was anyone else surprised by this?

If Tyler had made the list, where would you rank him among all living American songwriters?
