Looking for a show that gets better the more you think about it

I’m looking for something where the little details actually matter, and you keep thinking about an episode after it ends.

Not necessarily a mystery or something super complicated. Just a show that rewards paying attention.

What would you recommend?

I finally stopped trying to make every day productive

I used to feel a little guilty if I ended a day without getting something done.

Lately, I've been trying to be okay with having days where I just do the basics, relax, and don't feel like I need to make the day "useful."

Honestly, it feels pretty good.

Is there a way to stop certain Android notifications from appearing on the lock screen without turning them off completely?

I still want to receive notifications from a few apps, but I don't really need every notification showing up on my lock screen.

I'd rather keep the notifications enabled and just have them appear when I unlock the phone.

Is there a setting in Android that lets you do this on an app-by-app basis?

At what age did you stop thinking of weekends as "extra time" and start thinking of them as "catch-up time"?

I don't remember exactly when it happened, but I caught myself making a weekend checklist yesterday instead of actual plans.

Grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning, paying a couple of bills... and somehow it's Sunday evening before I know it.

I used to think weekends were for switching off. Now they feel like the only time to catch up on life.

Did anyone else notice this change, or is it just part of getting older?

I bought an Air Fryer thinking I'd use it every day. Now it mostly just sits on my kitchen counter. Does anyone else have a purchase like that?

When I bought it, I was convinced I'd be making something in it almost every day.

For the first couple of weeks, I did.

Then I slowly went back to using the stove for most things, and now the air fryer only comes out once in a while.

It made me wonder what everyone else's "I thought I'd use this all the time" purchase was.

I finally started watching Severance, and I understand the hype now. Which show made you feel like that?

I delayed Severance because I expected it wouldn't meet the recommendations.

I finally watched the first episode this week, and by the end I immediately wanted to start the second one.

It made me wonder what other shows people ignored for a long time, only to realise later that everyone was right.

Did anyone else's opinion of A-Train completely change as the series went on?

When I started watching The Boys, A-Train was one of the last characters I thought I'd end up rooting for.

As the seasons went on, I found myself looking forward to his scenes more than I expected. I still don't think he's a "good" person, but I think he's one of the more interesting characters because of how much he changes.

Did anyone else have a completely different opinion of him by the later seasons, or did your first impression never change?

Does anyone else open the fridge even when they're not actually hungry?

I caught myself doing this twice today.

I wasn't looking for anything specific. I just opened it, stared inside for a few seconds, closed it, and walked away.

It's such a random habit, but I never really thought about how often I do it.

What's one thing you own that isn't expensive but you'd hate to lose?

Mine is an old hoodie I've had for years. It's nothing special, but it's ridiculously comfortable, and I'd probably try to replace it immediately if I lost it.

I took a different route home and it somehow made my day better.

I was walking back after work and turned down a street I normally ignore. Nothing dramatic happened just a quiet lane, a couple of old houses, and a stretch of road I had somehow never really noticed before. I got home a little later than usual, but the walk felt oddly refreshing. Sometimes changing the route is enough.

Why do songs sound so much better when you're travelling?

I was listening to the same playlist I always do while travelling this weekend, and somehow every song felt better than it does when I'm sitting at home.

Is there actually a reason for that, or is it just because your mood is different when you're on the move?

I accidentally became the first customer at a café this morning.

I reached earlier than I usually do today, and the café had literally just opened.

The guy behind the counter smiled and said, "You're our first customer today."

I don't know why, but that tiny interaction made my morning a little better.

Sat there for a while with my coffee before the place slowly started filling up.

Funny how small moments like that end up sticking with you.

I accidentally spent an hour in a bookstore today.

I only went in because I had about 20 minutes to spare before meeting a friend.

I started wandering through the shelves, picked up a few books I'd never heard of, read the first page of a couple of them, and somehow completely lost track of time.

I walked out with one book I hadn't planned on buying, and honestly, I wasn't even mad about it.

Sometimes bookstores are dangerous in the nicest possible way.

What's one everyday purchase that ended up being worth every penny?

Mine was a good pair of wireless earbuds.

I bought them thinking I'd mostly use them during my commute, but they've somehow become part of almost everything I do now—walking, working, cooking, even just relaxing with music or a podcast.

It's one of those purchases that I didn't think much about at the time, but I'd genuinely miss it if I didn't have it now.

Curious what yours is.

Does anyone else avoid starting a series because they know they'll end up binge-watching it?

I caught myself doing this again over the weekend.

There are a couple of series I've been wanting to watch for weeks, but I keep putting them off because I know once I start, I'll probably end up saying "just one more episode" until it's way too late.

It's become this weird cycle where I'm excited to watch something and then delay it because I know exactly what's going to happen.

Curious if anyone else does this or if it's just me.

What's something you do now that would've seemed boring to your younger self, but you genuinely enjoy today?

I had this random thought while I was cleaning my apartment today.

A few years ago, if someone had told me I'd actually enjoy spending a Saturday cleaning, grocery shopping, and then relaxing with a coffee afterwards, I would've laughed.

Now those are the weekends I end up enjoying the most.

Funny how your idea of a good time changes without you even noticing.

I didn't realise how much I enjoy morning coffee until I skipped it today.

I was running late this morning, so I left home without making coffee.

Around 10 o'clock, I couldn't figure out why my day felt so off, and then it hit me.

It wasn't even just about the caffeine rush needed. I think I'd started looking forward to those ten quiet minutes, of course, with my coffee before the day gets busy.

Funny how small routines become such a big part of your day without you even noticing.
