[X-men] Quicksliver Slow Mo Scene, wouldn't gravity be too weak/slow to keep him on the ground

During slow motion we see him just walk around normally from his perspective. But to walk around normally gravity would need to also be increased to his perspective. If it's not then the moment he steps and pushes off the ground he'll just float much like when he pushes people and things they start to float. Unless he has an increase personal gravity ability speedsters shouldn't really have a proper slow mo scene like this right?

Edit:

I think I explained this poorly. What I'm trying to get at is at super speed, from your perspective gravity will actually be very slow and be very bad at keeping you at the ground since the STRENGTH of gravity has not changed. To move at super speed you must exert a lot of force on the ground, not just horizontally but vertically as well. Since you still need friction. Speedsters if they don't have some other secondary power that pushes them down at super speed they will just fly up when they take a step since they're exerting so much force on the ground normal gravity won't be able to keep them down. Think of it like an F1 car but without the aerodynamic wings applying down force. From a super speedsters perspective gravity will feel weaker without some kind of magic speed force keeping the laws of physics the same at super speed.

If there's a heaven, why not a hell?

Theory, potential spoliers ahead, beware.

>!Been thinking about what Schlacts grand plan could be. Both him and HoTS could see the future, why would they kill each other. We know Schlat at least still believes his plan is in motion, even in death. Demon kind is falling apart with the demon king dead. What could possibly be that is a satisfying ending? Seems impossible to find a satisfying answer. What could possibly make sense, two dudes at odds who can see the future, almost no plan makes sense because you could always say, the other side would've seen it coming. So the only outcome that makes sense is that they both win. But how on earth does him and the demon king dying make sense for demon kind. What if the plan was to die and end up in hell? Humans win, they get earth. Demons survive they get hell. The door to both heaven and hell are in the same place. This is the only option. Demons simply cannot coexist with humans. For them to survive they need new land and they found hell. Both of them win. Humans get middle earth. Frieren climatic end will happen when we reach heaven and finds the demons have made a gate to hell, likely using their research of heaven to do so. this is why the demon king set up base here. We get a climatic heaven vs hell that ends with all the gates being permanently closed off to middle earth. It's the only future that both could see and agree upon. Hence why upon seeing this, both were willing to take each other out. Frieren cannot learn this, (hence why machts memories were erased) or else she'll try and prepare potentially bringing an army to beat the demons. But that may be the wrong play, instead her not knowing will cause her to focus on sealing the portals than ending demon kind, because if the demons realise humanity won't even give them hell, they'll go back to fighting for middle earth. This is a compromise both HoTS and Schlact accepted.!<

>!It could also be possible that the demons may try to turn heaven into a hell. Somehow figuring out how to feast on the souls of humans instead as an infinite food supply.!<

Pain is immediate, with minimal visible symptoms these days

Wondered if anyone may be in a similar boat to me. I've been suffering from Urticaria for the better part of 15 years. Since I was 10 up until now. It seems to have gotten worse as I aged. Early on as a child it was an intense itch but as I got older it went from an inch to just a sharp stabbing pain. I can't begin to explain how painful it is every time it flares up, most people don't like the pain of a single needle cutting through the skin, imagine literally hundreds all over your body simultaneously, like every spot is bleeding.

My only saving grace is that it's usually only flared up by certain triggers which I can try to avoid. I've tried pretty much every medication my doctors are willing to give me, immunosuppressants, antihistamines, xolair, blood pressure medication.

I find that they have this odd habit of working for a few months, (xolair gave me an entire year of being symptom free which was incredible) but they all eventually stopped working.

I see a lot of pictures of people showing their skin flare up on this sub. There was a time when my skin did that, but these days it doesn't even do that. I don't get rashes anymore. It's just if I begin sweating, nearly immediate pain without my skin even having time to go red. Sometimes if it gets really bad I'll get a lot of red dots on my skin, but rarely regional swelling. Sometimes I wonder if it is even urticaria. Not sure if there's anyone with similar experience.

Will the steam frame be able to mirror/control an android phone?

As someone who likes to watch youtube and netflix in bed apart from gaming, would the steam frame potentially be better than a phone? Instead of lying on my side holding up a phone to my face, I wonder if the steam frame might actually be more ergonomical for this if it can just hook up to my phone and stream it's screen.

Does the Emperor choose to endure on the Throne?

From what I understand he was put on the throne after his life threatening wound. By being on the throne he protects Terra from being over run by demons and powers the Astronomicron. From what I understand it is agony for the emperor as he's constantly being attacked by demons in the warp.

Does the Emperor choose to endure or does he not have a choice? Is he a willing prisoner or just a prisoner as the throne forces him to stay alive even if he doesn't want to?

Don't read until you answer: >!If he is choosing to endure it for the sake of humanity, he seems like a pretty selfless person to me!<

Does anyone know where to buy cheap magnetometers that are reliable?

I've bought multiple boards off aliexpress that claimed to be GY-271 QMC5883L boards. But they were actually QMC5883P, "P" variant boards. Basically, got scammed each time. That's on me, they were so cheap I figured I'd take the risk.

Seems manufacturers are just swapping out the L variant for the P variant and telling no one since the original manufacturers of the L variant switched to making the P variant and I can't seem to get the P variant to work. Every thing i've found online seems to suggest the libraries for this variant are only really documented for adafruit when I'm testing with arduino.

Does anyone know a good place to reliably buy these boards for cheap?

Thanks in advance!

I'll be real guys, these people at arrowhead have time and time again shown they do not care for our opinions. They have no real plans to fix the game in our eyes.

We saw this with those early nerfs in the months after the game release. We've seen it in the later nerfs that came after the buffs. They are certain that they want HD2 to be a Military Grunt game despite how stupid that is and the fact that upon that game's launch that was not what people paid for and not what the game was.

We need to be real. Arrowhead is a company and the company is full of ordinary people. Like ordinary people there are stupid people and working there and some of them hold positions of power. I have idiot coworkers and dumbasses that managed to climb the ladder.

At this point after all I've seen, it is clear as day to me that there are people at arrowhead probably feel personally attacked by us and offended by our complaints on the game. Looking directly at the person/team who did all the nerfs. Like can you imagine being so bad at your job that you single handedly did so much damage to your product (video game) that your fucking ceo needs to come back from his holiday and crtl-z all the work that you've done in the last few months. Jesus christ.

Anyways now put yourself into their shoes, months of work, months of players telling you your an idiot, months of you genuinely believing they're wrong and that the dev (them) is right, then your ceo comes and tells you you're an idiot. You know what the human response to that tends to be? "Fuck all of you, nah I'm right you didn't give me a chance to show it." That person obviously wasn't fired, rarely do people get fired unless they do something illegal in corpo world. They're still at the company and likely helping breed a culture of for lack of a better word 'fuck what the players and redditors want'. Hence why nothing changed and they started nerfing again and doing stupid shit again after all the "reverses" they re-reversed lmao. I suspect that person is now back in power after a hard talk and just back to their old ways, probably even managed to convince the ceo now.

The game is never changing. Review bomb. Don't buy future games from this studio. Support other indie companies that actually care. Arrowhead at this point is just another very large and successful corporation, little different in my eyes from EA, Ubisoft, activision, microslop, etc...

It's the hard truth. That being said please keep at it the feedback is good, but for your sake take emotion out of it and lets all move on.

It's hilarious how broken the Portal Magic is. It should be in use everywhere

The only down side is that it's "magic" but other than that this portal magic should have the same impact on the MCU as it would if it we had it on earth. No need for transportation vehicles anymore, cars, planes, rockets, space ships. In endgame we see them open portals to the entire universe. It wasn't even just dr strange doing it, with that many portals I don't even think it was just Wong either, must've been the entire crew of Kamar-Taj all opening them up.

Seems like the portal tech also figured out where the portal needs to be. In spiderman Ned just asks for spiderman and it gives him one. How the sorcerers knew where the ravagers were is just straight up portal magic doing the work.

I get that it was a plot device added to speed things up in the dr strange movie and consequently later in endgame and spiderman but it is hilariously broken. Why do space ships even exist when this is clearly faster and required no infrastructure. The entire universe should be colonised by curious sorcerers going about with this tech. Even funnier is that this magic seems to be slow to beginner magic, one of the earliest spells dr strange is practising to get a feel for magic.

Before you say:

  • Well only wizards can do it.
    • Seems like a lot of people can train to learn magic. For example, the previously paralysed guy who sought it out. And all the people at Kamar Taj. Not to mention these are only the people that sought it out, imagine how much of the population could do it only if they had been taught. We even see aliens in GOTG use magic. Why he's in a space ship is beyond me.
  • It's not a simple technology you can just build into infrastructure
    • Nope we see in the strange's magic house that they have this portals set up everywhere. There are rooms that just have doors that just let you cycle through different portal locations. Magic seems to just persist, it likely needs magic top ups but it seems very workable into infrastructure. Replace every train station/airpoint on earth with one of these rooms. Hell set up a room at NASA to getting to and from mars, moon, alien worlds.

Anyways most writers will just ignore it as they should. After all later directors can't undo the work of earlier directors all that much. It probably shouldn't have been introduced as it is but is a useful plot device if you need an Avengers Assemble moment. I will say, the Endgame moment was awesome so I'm happy it exists. If only it was better thought out.

Like maybe it's a one off and required an extremely powerful spell and both sides needs to do something to open the portal for long distance portals. Or overuse can tear the fabric of the universe. Currently there doesn't seem to be a limit, strange uses it willy nilly. Sure, we could come up with fan reasons why it's not the case but so far it really has been shown to be simple spell that can be freely used. Which consequently does introduce inconsistency to the universe. Like an evil wizard seemingly could do so much damage with this spell. Rob banks. Assassinate anyone by opening up a portal to them and just shooting them. The opportunities are endless.

The most probable simulation is simply our descendants recreating their past

That's really it. Sure technically they would have other simulations that we may be in, but the most likely one that actually has reason for existing beyond entertainment is one of their direct past. They would be curious about their past and would attempt to create a simulation that most accurately matches their history.

We are said simulation so we in theory if the simulation was done right are largely identical to our original selves. That being said logically we still need to behave as if this is real base reality just in case it is.

So what happens next? Well I imagine if you die they'll probably just make a copy of you right before death and take you out of the simulation so that you don't mess up the simulation. I imagine if they are more morale and ethical than us they would see us as individuals with rights so our after life is simply the life they give us next. I imagine they may attempt to punish us for our crime or reward us for our good behaviour, it's only logical. Also sends a message to their own people, do the right thing or you might yourself be in a simulation and when you're out your descendants will judge you.

NordVPN recent update broke a ton of stuff on windows 11, network drives behaviour changed impacting apps as well

Not sure if anyone else has encountered this but recently I stopped being able to access my network drives from my file explorer if I have my VPN on. I did contact nordvpn to trouble shoot it and we tried everything even reinstalling and turning off and on the invisible setting. Nothing worked. I gave up.

I later discovered that the only way to access your LAN network drives with the VPN on is to actually use the IP address instead of its name and that works with the VPN on. But this is extremely frustrating because when the VPN is off this doesn't work. And you have to use the named folder instead. So you constantly have to switch between the two paths to my NAS depending on whether your VPN is on.

Similarly troublesome is that it doesn't immediately error out if you try to access a network folder using the old paths with the VPN on. Instead it'll just hang for a few minutes. The problem with this is that some apps sometimes try to access network folders at launch such as blender. I found that with the VPN on blende on launch would literally hang for 5 minutes but without the VPN it'll launch instantly.

Ridiculous change and its been weeks with no fix

Correct pinout for the ESP32-C3 Mini Dev Board?

I have this dev board I bought from a website "core electronics" and on their page for this device they link to this diagram: https://docs.waveshare.com/ESP32-C3-Zero

my device does indeed look exactly like this. However when I run the code:

const int sleepPin = 4;

void setup() {
  // Set GPIO 0 as a standard digital output pin
  pinMode(sleepPin, OUTPUT);

  // Drive the pin HIGH to output a constant 3.3V
  digitalWrite(sleepPin, HIGH);
}

void loop() {
  // Keep it HIGH. Do nothing else.
}

Nothing happens if i plug it into GP4 [8]. But if i plug my jumper cable into GP5 [9] my motor spins. So my code's pin 4 isn't matching the diagram's pin5. Is the diagram wrong? Different pages seem to suggest different pin layout. My board does look exactly like this picture.

Anyone finding Soul browser not working properly anymore?

I find often when I open a link in a new page the original page becomes unclickable. Refresh doesn't fix it. You need to to open the current url in a new tab. Also the second new tab you make from a page will have the same link as the first even if it was meant to be different. Not sure what update they pushed but it seems to have broken things for the last week

Looking for a extremely cheap and small motor to slide a 5g latch

I have a device that when it's in the closed position all it needs to do is slide this little 5g hook that locked it into place and effectively keeps the door from opening. It only needs to slide about 3mm left and right and I need something extremely small and light to do it. Any weight at all will weigh heavy on the flap.

Currently I have a 2g servo that does the trick. But i find they are pretty expensive, at least $4 a piece wholesale. Since I'll need a ridiculous number of these that's not ideal.

I did find these. They are even smaller which is good but they are stepper motors and personally they introduce more complexity, 2 h-bridges for each of them and they don't move smoothly like dc motors. But they are cheap, $1 a piece.

Is this my only option at this price point? I can't seem to find any dc motors that fit the bill, at this size they all seem to be high RPM which requires a gear system and suddenly it's too expensive.

I have tried solenoids but even the cheapest are 3-5 bucks and require power to hold position

Why is my NAS no longer connecting when I have Nord VPN on

It used to work fine. After some update now the NAS won't connect with the VPN on. I can't allow a split tunnelling by IP. Turning off and on the Invisible setting doesn't work. There doesn't appear to be an option to allow for LAN pass through.

This part of the enshitification or something?

Are there any where that has good code to make an N20 Motor act like a Servo?

Having trouble making code that properly dials in my motor. I often find the motor is sluggish to get to the position I want it in or it'll overshoot then over correct. I'm using a 1:100 N20 Motor on a 3.7V Lipo. I was wondering if there are any data bases out there that have already figured out the optimal code to make this type of motor behave much more like a Servo. Good strong positional movements.

The reason I can't use a regular servo is because I need more than 270 degree rotation while still having positional control and unfortunately the smallest stepper motors I could find with sufficient torque is too large. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
