My dad made custom grills for his Klipschorns

My dad has to have his 1996 Klipschorns in a room where they really don't work well and can't be pushed into the corners. To fix the ugly exposed backs, he picked up some grill cloth and made frames to attach to the back with velcro. Came out pretty well.

Question about credit card fees for US travel in Europe

Hello. My family and I are about to take a trip from the U.S. to England, France, Belgium and the Netherlands next month. We are NOT seasoned travelers abroad and my wife just stumbled across this video:

https://www.tiktok.com/@tableandtravel/video/7649592166884379935?_r=1&_t=ZP-9804Gy6Sa6R

I was planning on using my credit card for all of our expenses so I contacted Citibank with the question and this was their response:

"Your account has a foreign transaction fee of 3% for transactions made in a foreign currency. This means that whenever you make a purchase, or other transaction that is processed in a currency other than U.S. dollars (USD), a fee equal to 3% of the transaction amount will be charged. There is no minimum fee, so the charge is calculated strictly based on 3% of the transaction value, and there is no maximum limit, meaning the fee increases proportionally with larger transaction amounts. Please note that this fee applies when the transaction is processed in a foreign currency. If a purchase is made outside the U.S. but is processed in U.S. dollars (USD), the foreign transaction fee may not apply, depending on how the merchant submits the transaction."

I can put a bunch of money in my checking account and use my debit card, but I was wanting to use the credit card for the rewards.

So my question is, how do people normally pay for everything while in Europe? Thanks!

EDIT: Thanks so much for all the responses. I just applied and got a new travel credit card through Chase. Also, as many have said, Wells Fargo takes 3% on my debit card.

Best restaurants in SEATAC?

I will be having a 3.5 hour layover in a few weeks. I come in at the B gates and will be leaving from the international terminal to London. Just wondering what recommendations people have for the best place to get my family dinner. Nothing overly fancy or complex. Just looking for the best food and a place to relax a bit. Thanks!

Edit: Clarification - I mean in the airport. I don't intend to leave the terminal.

Does anyone know a good way to stop emails like these?

I get a lot of these. They are spam emails where the entire thing is just a graphic. The sender is always different and the subject lines are broken up so they aren't regular words. Blocking or reporting spam really doesn't work. Is there a good way to filter these? Thanks.

FYI - These bear garbage straps work. (Video)

Pretty big boy came by last night and started trying to go through the trash. I recently got these bear straps from Amazon and they totally stopped him. He tried for about 10 minutes until I threw a water jug down at him to scare him away.

2025 Hyundai Santa Fe - Scratch on rear camera lens

Gave my car to the dealership for a recall repair and when I got it back, it had a big scratch/gouge on the lens of the rear camera. It's right in the middle and makes a big blurry spot in the video. They of course won't own up to it and I'm stuck with a $600 bill if I want it fixed. I feel like it's something that can be buffed out with a Dremel buffing tool and putty but I've never done anything like that. Anyone have any ideas on this?

What is blurred out in S01 E03?

At the end of S01E03 - "Gold Dust Gasoline" there is some product in the gift basket that was being given to Ponch from Burt Reynolds that is blurred out. Anyone know what it was?

Edit: Sorry, screen grab isn't working

Electronic Parking Brake setting itself every time now?

Before, my 2025 SEL would only set the EPB if it detected I was on an incline when parked, but for the past few weeks, I've noticed it does it every time now. Was this one of the software updates recently? Anyone else noticing this?

Be Quiet keyboard launching website..

After one of the recent updates of the IO Center, my Dark Mount keyboard now launches the Be Quiet website every time I hit the shortcut key to load a Windows Explorer window. Any way to stop this?

My dad has a pair of Klipschorns from 1995 (not sure what version that is.) He's been using an old Denon integrated amp from the same era and it finally died on him. He definitely appreciates much nicer audio but high end separates really aren't in the budget. (Probably around $1000) Anyone have a good piece they recommend to just run these for 2 channel music only? There were some really nice stereo receivers released this year like the Yamaha R-N series. I was also taking a look at the Emotiva BasX TA2+. Basically I'm looking for something like that. Thanks.

Edit:

Other things I've found so far:

Denon DRA-900H
Onkyo TX-8470
Marantz Stereo 70S
