If we started stigmatizing gangs the way we stigmatized PDFs and rapists for how they groom and isolate young people from their healthy support systems. Or conversely how they prey on young people with no support system

It’s widely documented how gangs will use tactics like blackmail, extortion and other forms of coercion on people as young as 8 and maybe even younger. These kids grow into adults and perpetuate the same cycle

The way you look matters. it tells people if you care. You need to be showering regularly. You need to keep your teeth brushed. Clip your fingernails. Floss. Develop a skin care routine. There’s no excuse not to. If you have bad teeth do what you can to eventually get them taken care of. Take care of your hair. Keep your facial hair well groomed. Invest in cologne. These are things that have a tangible impact on your confidence
