Why Indian laws are not followed? [OC]

A company converted 100 crore worth white money to black using CSR.

Had an interesting conversation with a senior leader in CSR wing of a big company.

He mentioned, most companies just look for NGOs who can help them show CSR activities while routing back the money.

There is a big difference in what is shown vs what actually happens.

All the big companies are mostly running a money laundering network in the name of CSR.

Pura India baaki hai rule karne ko

Everyone assumes Lenskart's growth story is about beating competitors.

It isn't.

They serve ~1,500 pin codes. There are 6,100+ Indian towns where they don't have a single store.

And in most of those towns, there's no organised competitor to beat.
Just a small local shop with limited choice and no proper eye testing.

Lenskart isn't winning share. It's walking into markets nobody else bothered to build, and getting there first.

The moat isn't the brand. It's being early to 6,000 towns.

People need to be paid on time

Anyone managing social media for a brand is an important person.

Hence, they should be paid on time.

Otherwise it will backfire on the company.

The generation of today is not scared.

Gen Z are more free

I don’t agree to Raj Shamani.

It’s not about loyalty, it more about the freedom to express.

It’s not what they have seen their fathers do.

It’s about the freedom of choices they got from their parents.

Their CEO deserves appreciation

Some companies deserve appreciation.

Because they are genuinely employee-first.

Running a company like this is not a joke!

Education system is broken

58% of Indians feel loneliness.

And it is not their fault.

It’s because education system doesn’t teach us things like handling pressure, EMIs, work life balance.

People are not broken. Education system is.

Sri Lankan Airlines Feedback

Boarded Sri Lankan Airlines from Colombo to Delhi.

Worst airlines ever to board.

- Flight got changed at the end moment, delayed by 1 hour

- Aisle seat got changed to middle seat at the end moment

- Had to sit for 1 hour in a crowded environment waiting

- AC doesn’t work properly

The staff even lack the decent courtesy - if you ask anything, they will just say ‘I’m sorry’.

One of the most pathetic airlines in Asia.

Things that happen on Mumbai

Peak Mumbai moment that happens there only.

I was stuck in traffic near BKC for 45 minutes.

Cab driver asked me what I do.

I said, I work in e-commerce.

He said: Sir, I also have a side business. I resell sneakers on Instagram. Made 8 lakh last year.’

Showed me his Instagram page - 40k followers.

I was stuck in traffic learning dropshipping from my cab driver.

Only in Mumbai does the person driving you might make more side income than his main income.

The rent in Mumbai forces you to do multiple things.
