Ruipro 20m usb powered cable, noise of solid colors, especially visible in dark gray colors. Is it my cable causing this? If so any idea what is wrong with it? Happens in SDR and 24hz too.

Which path of Nationalist France should I try?

I haven't played it in like 5 years, which path is the most fun, legion, bonaparte or something else? Can I branch into big France on liberation with any path I take?

What to upgrade to if you don't care about sound?

Hi, all I'm trying to upgrade my crusty corsair strafe rgb that I've used for over 10 years.

https://preview.redd.it/qg0u569dmm4h1.jpg?width=3334&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=236af54d9dabdbed41c227bb51c53c4f516a2c91

I know that almost anything will be "better" than it, but I can't really decide what to get. My use case would be:

  • Desk use for ~5 hours a day, mostly just casual typing
  • Very occasional competitive gaming, so I'm not sure if HE would even be worth entertaining. Most of my gaming is strategy games. Occasionally I get hooked on something like Apex or Deadlock
  • Bringing my keyboard to my bed and using it in conjunction with my TV, keyboard either being on top of me, or besides me

Features I need/would like:

  • 64 keys as a bare minimum. I need arrow keys, delete and printscreen as a bare minimum (can and probably will be programable)
  • Battery, as I'd like to use it away from my desk
  • VIA (maybe), open source projects have never let me down, I don't know much about VIA though
  • HE/TMR (maybe), I know it's mutually exclusive with battery and VIA, so I'm not sure if I want to trade it, Astroaim feels almost as good as V5 Creamy Yellow Pro in my opinion
  • Volume knob would be a nice to have
  • Somewhat prone to spills, as I am certain I will spill my tea over it eventually
  • Care literally 0 about RGBs, they will be permanently off
  • Not very price sensitive, aiming towards 150-250€
  • White/Wood colors would be a plus, but not a must

A few options that I've found during my research were:

  • Monsgeek M1 VIA/TMR: I don't mind spending more on TMR, but I've heard people say that Akko software is quite bad, and that TMR is the inferior version
  • MU02 Mountain Seclusion Wooden Keyboard, good visual presentation, I do like wood, and I low key wanted to buy those keycaps anyways, though I never tried non-cherry layouts.
  • Akko MOD 007 V3 HE Year of Dragon HE
  • EvoWorks EVO80

I bought Akko testing set, from that set, ones that felt the best purely on tactile feeling were:

  • V5 Creamy Yellow Pro
  • Botany/Rosewood
  • AstroAim

Ideally there would be a silent switch that feels like first option here, but probably not very viable.

I'm a bit paralyzed by choices, I'm not sure what to get.

Galaxy Watch 6, lost GPS function in samsung health

Hi all, like 2 weeks ago, I lost my GPS function, as for the reason why, I have no idea, because I didn't change a single thing. GPS works just fine, I can use google maps normally, samsung health is actually looking for the gps prior and during the run. Things I've tried so far:

  • Clearing cache in bootloader
  • Wear GPS Fix App
  • Revoking and giving back permissions in galaxy health settings
  • Transfering my phone to my spare samsung device
  • Fully resetting the phone

Genuinely have no idea what could I even try to fix it and why it went away literally 2 weeks ago, I used to work for months. It would not be a massive issue, if my run speed wasn't wildly different (like 10-15%) when gps was working and now when it does not.

EDIT: Wear GPS fix did work, but I had to leave my watch with a window open on my windowsill.

Ruipro pure fiber, gen3 or some other 15M cable for LG G5 120hz HDR?

Hi all, I got my TV, I've set it up, and I realized I can't just use standard copper cables for it (probably). Is paying an extra 30-40$ for pure fiber worth it? Swappable heads is not a valid argument, because heads alone cost almost the same as 50m of cable + heads. I'm not planning to run it through walls or anything like that, I will have it run around the edge of the room where it won't be very visible anyways. Is paying extra for "armored" class worth it, as I've head optic cables can be very easy to accidentally break.

Looking for preferably just one stone to just sharpen knives for home use.

Hi all, I basically never used these and any metal knife sharpeners have had were quite bad at their job. I think from my research I should get either Ha No Kuromaku Ceramic Whetstone or glass/rockstar. What should I get for home use, preferably without the preparation being more messy than it needs to be. I just want my knives sharp for meal preparation.

65" TV at 3m (10 feet) or smaller monitor mounted to the wall?

Hi all, I'm considering getting a TV, but the view distance is a bit big. I tried to to bring my monitor closer to me and the screen felt a lot bigger than the maximum space I have for TV. Anyone was in the same predicament? What did you choose for it? I know TVs do get brighter than potentially better colors, but is losing the FOV worth the cost?

Blue is potential monitor arm, Red is potential TV

I'd probably be 50/50 in terms of watching TV and gaming on it. I will be the only person that uses this so there is no inherent advantage to bigger tv allowing better angles.
