This hospital in fact didn't start as a hospital at all. It was originally a motel. A man named Richie Moretti moved down to marathon key to retire here. He bought the motel as a source of income. Part of the motel was this natural tide pool that kids would swim in. One day a kid was running around and playing yelling cowabunga and asked Moretti why there weren't any mutant turtles in the tide pool. He thought it would be a cool idea to keep some sea turtles in the pool for guest to see. So he went to the state and asked. They turned him down do to the endarged species act of 1973. However they would let him keep turtles who were hurt with shell damage, tumors, ect. He also bought the club next door and turned into a hospital. So in 1986 the place become a motel/turtle ​rehab center. Do to hurricane damage though the motel was closed and is now full focused on helping turtles.

They have about 14 permanent residents including a green sea turtle named April.

If you ever find yourself in Marathon Key I highly recommend checking them out. They give tours to the public and your able to see behind the scenes.

Pride month may be over, but the fight isn't over. There are still so many people who aren't able to come out because they aren't in a safe space. The capitalist rainbows may have lowered their flags, but we shouldn't. Be loud, make change. Support local protest. Support your local small queer business. Donate to charities when and if you can. Even if you do something small it can still make a difference.

About a week ago I came in here and made a post asking how to clean up some old tmnt toys that had been gitted to me by my uncle. They've be cleaned up and have been given new life. I wanted to put them next to the newest tmnt version, Mutant Mayhem, and see how they compare. What do we think?

Shes been reading Byler fanfic for the past few months and had now started writing! Shes currently applying for an account on ao3. Shes writen before they were just her own stories and character. I am very excited to witness her fanfic journey. Any warnings or advice I should give her?

Also question to the creators and artist of the show. Why did you have to make their hands so hard to to draw?

My uncle was a fan of tmnt growing up. My grandparents saved his old figures, they were going to give them to him but he no longer wants them. So, they are being handed to me. My question is, what is the best way to clean them? They have dust and sticky residue all over them. I was thinking warm water and dish soap. Any suggestions?

update: I've also located a Mondo Gecko and Raph.

I decided to sit down today and paint the mirror scene from ep 8. Im very happy with how it turned out. I still have a few more things to do before its fully done. Like varinishing it, and finding a golden frame to match the one in the show. For now though, I am very happy with how it turned out.

Went to the mall today and found this guy. I also found a ton of Last Ronin action figures, but they were out of my budget. Maybe one day, but for now Im happy with my Donatello funko pop.
