So since the past two days I have seen various posts of the Kathak Festival that took place in Lahore....A lot of Indian pages called it as a Cultural Theft .....Wanted your opinion on this matter
Why are we performing a dance that originated in India and not performing our own native dance styles like Attan,Lewa etc ......Now if anyone comes up and says it's shared Heritage please do some research on it origin and those who popularized it
So let me say something we as a country have a serious Heritage Conservation and Claiming problem we have not claimed the history of the British India we have just turned a blind eye towards our own History ......This creates a vacuum and our neighbours successfully exploit that and they have been successful in claiming a shared History of the subcontinent as exclusively Indian History .......Indus Valley Civilization is the only exception in this case ..We have lost the narrative war to them and now it's too late to reverse it....
What are we really doing to manage our water needs we are in a severe water crisis and how can we allow a country to dictate the basis needs of human beings??
Why does Pakistan despite of having abundant Historical Monuments does not promotes it to the world .Our neighbours have successfully promoted there monuments to the world and a lot of Foreign Travellers arrive each year just to catch a glimpse where do you think our approach went wrong in order to promote Pakistan as a Historical Tourist Destination...These Indian Monuments are around the same in age as the Pakistani Monuments some are relatively new but still they have worldwide acclaim whereas we don't.
