Check ur eyedrops for preservatives

Preservatives are not just ”a little sting” bad, they accumulate in the eyes and become dangerous long-term (months to years). They are being debated of being banned in Denmark for that reason. In addition to being dangerous to the eyes, they can destroy ur eyes oil glands.

I wish I knew about preservatives (BAK)

Guess who was prescribed antihistamines with BAK after going to eye doc. The even worse thing is that I used them for 4 months because they worked. But now my eyes are dry in addition to being allergic.

BAK can actually cause meibomian gland atrophy, this has been studied in glaucoma patients.

Calcium helped me (probably deficient)

Hello,
Just wanted to say that my back pain (annulus tear) has been improving the most after I started eating dairy again after a long break. I was probably calcium deficient so this may not apply to everyone.

Determinist living as compabilist

Can you really call yourself a hard determinist if you live your life as if you have free will? Or would that be actually compabitilism.

Imagine a person who thinks as a hard determinist but lives as a compabilist. Which one is he?

Venäjän kutsuminen Moskovaksi uutisissa

Miksi Venäjää kutsutaan Moskovaksi sotaan liittyvissä uutisissa? En huomaa muita maita kutsuttavan heidän pääkaupunkinsa nimellä (esim nyt Iranin sotaan liittyen). Kremlin ymmärrän paremmin, vähän kuin ”valkoinen talo”.

Is antinatalism more about the deed or outcome?

What if we would be 100 years away from developing a contagious virus that makes everyone sterile. Would it be better to reproduce to get the needed scientists and thus achieve the antinatalist goal in the end? Or would that be against antinatalism?

Are there seriously libertarian ppl here

Just asking since many of the threads are pointed at them but every argument I see, the ones supporting free will are not libertarian

Ziena Marina with FL-41 lens

Don’t ask me the price. I use these when using my computer so they take care of both blue light and dry eyes. When outside I dont like that these glasses give sort of a tunnel vision so I use normal glasses outside.

Pre-lasik evaluation is not the same in every clinic

So my LASIK clinic did not do dilated refraction for me. I asked why. They said they only do it for hyperopes. Imagine you had pseudomyopia and they do lasik for your eyes.

The fact that lasik industry does not have standardized evaluations means that the customer must know what examinations are required for a proper assessment.

I read online that central sensitization includes general hypersensitivity.

For me, discontinuing my previous medication (not related to pain) caused general hypersensitivity to supplements, medications, etc. This happened 10 months before the pain event.

My pain event was a minor trauma but the pain never went away and actually increased during the first 1-2 months. This might be CRPS but I am not officially diagnosed. Since then the pain and hypersensitivity have stayed the same for 6 months.
