I pay rent for my apartment using post dated cheques, we gave 10 cheques during move in. First and last month rent was paid while signing the lease.

When we asked the landlord where to send the postdated cheques for the next 12 months he said we were in fixed tenancy and we have to leave in a year. It's a condo unit, we signed the standard lease agreement last year. In lease it says fixed tenancy one year and back then our realtor said that's how it works and it turns month to month by default after that..now they are asking us to move out.

I am asking this in the group because I haven't told my family and friends about this and I need an unbiased opinion.

I am 32F born in Ondiputhur and I live abroad currently, I don't have Indian citizenship but I have a lifetime visa. I have around 3cr INR net worth here and a paid off house in Ondiputhur where my parents stay. No siblings. I don't have any other savings in India and I don't think my parents have any savings either. I have an amazing corporate job but I don't have the will to do anything in my life. My husband recently passed away and I have been shut off since. No kids, so it will be me and my parents who are 60+ yo. Realistically can I survive in Ondiputhur with 3cr, paid off house and no income? If I find anything I might do a remote job to pass time, but I don't think I have an ounce of Ambition or interest in me.

Except Uber and strata I don't have use for anything else. Even Costco Gold membership would be great.

Can my landlord sue me?

I'm on month 5 of my one year lease and my company is transferring me to a different province. I have to move in 90 days, that still means I'm under 1 year and I have to break my lease. Should I find another tenant for my landlord? Can they make me pay for an entire year or hold my last month's rent and security deposit?

My partner and I are 30. Total income ~300k before tax. I bring 200 and a partner 100. Total savings 400k combined. DINK and not planning to have kids or buy a house. Expenses including rent is 5k now and can be around 6k in a year. Extra expenses maybe 20k a year for travel and gifts.

We don't want to do anything lavish post fire, my partner's job is chill so he will keep it but I'm in tech sales so my time in the industry is limited and it's stressful.

Fairly new to trading and I noticed gold was more than 5% down today, is it because the war is over?

I live in a condo and we are moving next month and the landlord put the house for rent again. The realtor, landlord and us have a good relationship. We get 24 hours prior notification before any viewings but today someone showed up unannounced..we both were in the office but we have a cctv inside the house to look at our cats and we saw a realtor come in with people. I called our realtor and landlord and they said they weren't aware of any showings so it could be a previous relator who knew the lock box combo that came in. Can I file a case if they do that again

Edit - They didn't even let us know even AFTER they visited. I only found out because of the CCTV camera. My landlord and realtor didn't know either

Edit 2 - I found out through my landlords realtor that the person who entered the unit booked a showing for the next day and showed up a day in advance. I told them that it's bullshit because they booked a showing on Friday at noon but "accidentally" visited on Thursday evening. We get a auto alert for each showing with date and time, so this wasn't a mistake for sure. I'm filing a complaint with RECO. Thank you all for the suggestions
