I have an idea for my homebrew space marine legion. I want the legion master to be a thunderwarrior, but i dont know how to convey he might be different than his space marines. I am in the process of making them look savage and wild, so i'm adding fur and chains and giving most of them chainswords/axes instead of powerblades/axes. What would be a good model to start with? And yes he is 100% a bigger character than my marines. Here's an example of my Thunderwraiths.
Im painting a legion. I'll get there in due time, and the HH line is a huge help in that regard. Ive painted many space marines with the same paint scheme and pattern, but this technique is muh favorite, and even then i later on remembered to oil stain the studs. Model is the MKV half of the HH apothecarion with bits from other kits.
So, im doing a custom legion (no primarch), and want some advice and CC's. These paintjobs are all ones i really like, but im not sure which to pick. Also, whats the best way to sculpt fur? Here are four examples to give you all an idea.
